Manager went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant. TV played up and seemed that only 2 channels working adequately. Staff assisted but the problem persisted. Room was good and bed very comfortable. There was no fridge for keeping water cool which would have been helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Lovely location and very pretty surroundings.

Super hotel, fantastic location with easy walk into Salisbury along a pretty path. Comfortable, clean room with coffee maker. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal was super, in restaurant with millstream running underneath. Very atmospheric.

On arrival the small car park was full so we had to park on a street about 500m away so not ideal for carrying luggage. On check in we were told the restaurant was shut due to the hot weather but there is a limited menu available from the garden bar. This was very limited with no salads options which I would have liked. We ordered 2 pizzas but these arrived very burnt underneath so we returned them without trying them. We were refunded & given free fries instead which were basic. The chef apologised and said it was his first day. The location was too far out of Salisbury to walk to any other restaurants. On the plus side our room was very nice with 2 decent fans to keep it cool. The view of the water from the room was lovely to have and I enjoyed a swim in the mills shallow water before checking out the next day. Overall a lovely setting and room but let down by the parking and food quality which were disappointing after a long journey
