Unfortunately the hotel didn't send a message saying the elevator had more than a week that it was not working. It would have been nice to know that in advance and not arrive and had to carry own luggage 2 and 5 floors since we were in a group. Other than that the area is nice, several restaurants nearby and a metro station.

Super hotel. Havde værelse med thekøkken, hvor der dog ikke var noget service, gryder eller andet at lave mad eller skære brød med. Kunne kun låne papbestik! Fin lille kaffemaskine, elkedel og mikroovn. Personalet var alt for ofte forbi værelset og spørge om “alt var ok”. En af dagene var de forbi 5 gange! Men flinke og høflige. Obs på, at “spa” er en lille sauna og lukket søndag og mandag, som ikke kunne ændres ved.

We did not get the breakfast. Two things I was unhappy about. 1) The gym did not have cardio exercise equipment even though you advertise as having a gym. I am going on a cycling trip and was in Paris 6 days prior to going and needed to exercise beyond just walking around the city. 2) the bedside tables are so low I could not read unless I had all the lights on which would keep my husband up.

The chambermaid service gets 4 starsbut everything else gets 5 stars. The reception is lovely and they have clearly made a great effort in the interior courtyard which has certainly paid off. It is very pretty, though unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the courtyard

Les Jardins du Marais was excellent all around. The location of this neighborhood made many of the famous sites easily within walking distance (Le Louvre, Notre Dame, etc), and there were tons of great places to eat nearby. We also paid for the breakfast buffet that was available at the hotel, and I am so glad we did. The food was high quality and we ate a lot each day before heading out on the town. If there were any negatives, they were very minor. The Queen sized bed, for instance, is actually two twins pushed together, so my feet were hanging off the end of the bed. And on our final day we put up the tag to have our room made up but they never did it, which then prompted a woman to come knock on our door and try to explain in French how the signs worked. I tried to explain that we had left it up all day before we left, but I don't think she understood. All in all, however, I would still recommend this as an excellent value for the money we paid, especially with the breakfast add-on. They have a nice sauna and small gym, which we also appreciated. If we returned to Paris we would very likely stay at Les Jardins du Marais again after a wonderful full week for our first time Paris.

The property is located slightly on the edge of the Marais neighborhood, walkable but not a premium location if you want to enjoy the ambiance of the heart of Marais, this is a bit out of bounds. The hotel consists on several buildings, which sounds nice... The positive aspect of the hotel: staff friendliness. The downsides: not well managed, the property lacks basic management, like fresh towels change, efficient check-in (ours took about 30 minutes and there was a 45 minute waiting line...). Cleanliness: the place is somewhat dirty, it is outdated and not very suitable for a cosy time in the lobby or at the bar. The bar and food service is terrible, it is clearly understaffed. The rooms are unconveniently furnished and outdated as well. The gym and spa area also need a major update. We are regular visitors in Paris, we traveled with family, but were disappointed in this hotel.

The sign in staff was great, after that it went downhill. We had big dried blood stains on our comforter, they kept taking our towels and not replacing them (unless we called to ask for towels), took our room key when it was in the light to keep it on and I had to ask to have it returned. After that, I had laid out my clothes on the bed when I left in the morning so I could have them for the evening...I came back and my all of my clothes were in a crumpled pile on the floor - because they needed to make the bed. And the topper was that it was hot in the room, and when I called to ask for the AC to be turned on, they said, "It's not the season to turn it on" and when I asked if a fan can be brought to the room, she said, "Open a window" and I was stunned silent because then they hung up on me. I was polite, as I was told they do not like Americans, so I couldn't believe that had happened. I would NOT recommend this hotel. I have been to plenty 4/5 star hotels and this is definitely NOT a 4 star. And this place just left such a bad taste in my mouth that it is my FIRST ever bad review.

Our experience was really bad to the point I wished I had skipped Paris all together. Upon arrival, we checked in at check in time but our room wasn’t ready, we had to wait two more hours to get access to the room. Once in our room, as we are going to sleep I had what it looked like a bedbug. We were able to trap the bug under a cup and take a video and emailed it to the hotel, but no management contacted us. We called the front desk and were told that there was no housekeeping available to help us but we could move to another room. In the middle of the night, 12:30am. We had to repack all our stuff and move to another “upgraded” room. We did so and long and behold the room was much smaller we went from a queen size bed to a full size bed. The next day I asked to speak to a manager and was told that no manager was available. We expressed our discomfort for the room and the staff was not helpful. They offered to give me another key to another room but at this point I just wanted to leave. Unfortunately, we had tickets to museums and events and did not have the luxury to continue to play musical rooms. This was our anniversary weekend traveling from NYC to Europe ad this experience put a damper on the vacation. Needless to say, three nights felt eternal. My advise is to skip this location if you can.

This hotel does not account for the 4 stars it is rated for. I was not expecting luxury or else (I know it is 4 stars) but I expected a CLEAN, functional and comfortable place just to sleep. Believe me that the bathroom always smelled since the beginning like pee. After staying at Scandic in Copenhague (4 stars) I was expecting the same quality but it didn’t happen. The sink in the bathroom was not working, the water was just not going away. Fortunately people at the desk were very friendly and send someone to repair it. I don’t have any complaints about the staff, they were very nice. But owners and managers should care more about the Conditions of the place. Plus I don’t really see the point on paying a “city tax” in Paris when clearly the city is completely neglected, it is so sad to see how bad Paris is at the moment.

The pictures did not reflect the condition of the property. The room was clean but the furniture was scratched and worn out. The property has a few properties so I had to walk through an open courtyard and pass a few buildings until I got to mine. The bench seats in the lobby are so worn that when I sat down I sunk to the bottom. When I got up to look how it happend I noticed the outlines of the coil were noticeable.The toilet did not flush properly. Overall the hotel is overpriced for the condition it’s in.

Nice room, BUT we had a mouse. Maintenace did nothing about it, didn't even set a trap that night nor communicate with us despite our complaint. We had to sleep with the lights on. The next day management moved us to an upgraded room but the damage was done.

It is a clean and comfortable hotel, quiet at an area with easy access to eateries, market, and Metro train. The breakfast was very good compared to similar hotels, food was plenty. My wife and I came from Florida. After checked in, we found out the problem of electrical outlet incompatible therefore we could not charge our phones and laptop. When front desk young men Jonathan and Damien got our inquiry, they acted timely to provide help of an electrical adaptor package, and electrical technician Mathan came to our room within minutes to help to correct a power trip issue. Their warm smile, care and action showed professional customer service of the Les Jardin Hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this hotel! I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews, but I did not have a single problem with my six-night stay here. The room was much larger than I expected and I felt very safe here. There is only one way to access the courtyard and buildings with the rooms in them, which is right past the front desk. The entrance to the courtyard from the street was almost always shut and locked, except when there was hot chocolate and mulled wine with treats being served at the small building in the courtyard. The location was quieter and more local, but still had great restaurants and shops. The metro is close by and very simple to navigate when you get the hang of it to get to other parts of the city. I would recommend this hotel!

We had a great stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The first night our room did not have working air conditioning, so we were moved with no issues and even got a nice room upgrade. The hotel is located centrally but on a quieter street, and it has a lovely garden/courtyard. Would stay there again!!

This property is a bit run down. The lobby is dark and uninviting. Seating is worn and uncomfortable. The room itself was clean. The shower situation is precarious as you need to step into a bathtub that has rounded sides and try to balance yourself as you shower.

The room was nice, but the twin beds pushed together, constantly moved apart if you slept in the middle. Also the shower head is sooooo close to the wall, you have to put your face nearly on the tiles to wash yourself. The room is very clean, well appointed otherwise. The front desk staff was great upon checkin. The room is tired and in need of an update. The furniture is worn and dated. We asked for additional bedding for the pullout sofa before we left the room and expected it to be there upon our return but I had to call the front desk twice when returning to the room. The AC didn't work great...it was set low but in no way was that the actual temp of the room.

I am rating my stay as terrible because the hotel charged me for the stay in full even though it was prepaid through Expedia. We checked out on October 3, 2024 and now it is January 2025 and I only have a partial refund. I escalated the problem, I’m corresponding with the hotel’s general manager and they still cannot figure out a final solution. Disputing through my credit card is not simple because the hotel’s charge did not match Expedia’s as a duplicate, turns out Expedia charged quite a bit more than if I paid the hotel directly (another warning!). This has trumped any favorable qualities the hotel may had and they get one star just because there is no lower rating.

We stayed at Les Jardins du Marais, and while the hotel is beautiful, the check-in process was frustrating. We flew in from the US and arrived early—our room wasn’t ready, which we expected. But even after walking around for two hours, it still wasn’t available. At the official 3pm check-in, we were told it would be another 30 minutes… then another 20. Jet lagged and exhausted, my family was nearly asleep in the lobby. At 4pm, after saying we were fine with a technician coming in, we finally got our room and were offered drink vouchers as compensation. The room was worth the wait—spacious, clean, stylish, and quiet. The hotel has a charming courtyard and sits in a lively, local neighborhood with lots of restaurants, shops, groceries, and pharmacies nearby. Beds were very comfortable, and small touches like robes, slippers, and chocolates made us feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent—fresh juice, salmon, eggs, croissants, cappuccinos, and fruit—with great service. The only big issue came when using our drink vouchers. Staff questioned us, saying they only covered beer and wine and didn’t have our names or room number. A manager got involved, then disappeared on break, so we gave up and left. Despite the bumps, we’d still consider staying again. It’s a beautiful, well-located hotel—but for the price, the service should be smoother.

Room was very nice. Bed linens very nice, bathroom appointments nice. Paul in the cage and Diana at the front desk were terrific. Here is the problem, check in is at 3:00 but we did not get our room until almost 5. We asked several times and were told they would find us on the patio - they never did. They compensated with a free breakfast but the next morning the breakfast attendant required we pay. They did make it good in the end.

We booked two rooms and arrived and received two keys. When we walked into our room someone else was there. This made us and, I am sure more them, feel very unsafe, knowing anyone can be given a key and double booked into our room. When we told them they then gave us a room very far away from each other, in another building which was difficult with young children. The Ac did not work in our rooms, they offered a fan and then retracted the offer as they didn’t have one. When we arrived no one helped with our bags, it felt very unpleasant and unfriendly, I felt really embarrassed struggling with all our stuff not sure where to go and eventually one person helped us. He was very lovely and appeared to be doing everyone’s job whilst 5 other people stood behind reception looking confused and unfriendly. I also realised too late that we were charged tax on arrival even though we had already paid it via Expedia. It is impossible to get hold of them to organise use a refund, I have emailed, Whatsapped, called and messaged via Expedia and I haven’t got anywhere with this.

Our check in was very late and poorly communicated ended up waiting in the lobby for an hour for the room to be ready. The room was not set up how we requested with two beds so we had to wait another hour for them to separate the beds before we could sleep after being up almost 24 hours. The room itself was clean and the area was great. Once finally checked in the hotel was a decent stay.

We stayed here on a Road Scholar tour and stayed 2 extra days. Property was in an excellent location in the Marais. I walked around in the early evening and felt very safe. Restaurants and shopping very close. Close to Bastille and several small gardens. Easy access to all attractions. Metro about one block and Uber was inexpensive to other tourist sites. Enjoyed just walking the streets of the Marais.

The hotel is located in a very nice area of Paris and 300 feet from a Metro stop, which was very convenient. We walked to the Place de Vosges in 5 minutes and Notre Dame Cathedral in 20 minutes. The staff was very helpful, especially Tim at the front desk. We found our room to be small for a "Classic Double" (it seemed smaller than the online photo) but the bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom/shower was excellent. Skipped in the expensive in-hotel breakfast to take advantage of two excellent bakeries less than a block away from the hotel.

Lugnt och stilla, inga oljud. Mysig utebar. 100 meter till den ena och 300 meter till den andra tunnelbanestationen. Marais med dess butiker, gränder mm rakt över gatan och bortom. Oberkampf och Belleville inom några minters promenad. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal på hotellet. Fint rum med AC.

This hotel was beautiful (Instagram worthy). The room was a decent size for Paris and the little pathway between buildings was excellent. The breakfast was standard for this type of hotel. Check-in and breakfast felt a little chaotic. There were several tour groups (an older French speaking group and a young American group with at least 20-30 people). So, it felt a bit more like being on a cheap cruise than the boutique hotel experience of Paris. Totally fine, but not the experience I typically go for when I'm in town for the weekend. If you don't mind that atmosphere (or you are booking for a big group) this is a good option.

Breakfast was excellent, and the garden courtyard was lovely and setup with fluffy blankets covering the chairs and Christmas lights, they even served hot cocoa and waffles (for purchase) one evening.
