This is a small European hotel which is a bargain at the price. What makes it excellent is the kind and helpful staff. The location is superb. Don’t miss the Roman arena which the hotel is directly attached to. It is quiet and I slept well. The bathtub/shower is funky but not a big deal. There’s a cute cafe/restaurant next door that is inexpensive but the food and service are both good. There’s a carrefour grocery store 2 minute walk away. Small refrigerator in the room and kettle in the lobby. Very convenient to metro stations. I would definitely stay here again. It’s not luxurious but the staff make it special.

Enjoyed the location. Walkable to Notre Dame area and close to several metro stops. Weekly market nearby. Elevator and stairs available to access the rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Quiet and safe feeling street at night. The room itself was comfortable and clean, but not freshly remodeled or decorated. It is not luxury but a very good option for location and for the price.

Great location for 5th Arr and Latin quarter. Pantheon, notre Dahm, Luxembourg gardens and markets all walkable in 10-20 min. Some restaurants right down stairs our the door. The staff is ultra helpful. Room standard but nice. Does have ac which was a big plus as they have been having a heat wave. The only negative for us was the elevator was out and we were on the 4th floor so had to walk up and down with luggage and ourselves every time. We checked in Tuesday and checked out Thursday but no repair. They had tried to get someone and that company kept delaying coming. So it would have been really much better for us with all the walking around Paris if that were operational. Otherwise staff is ultra friendly. They have a luggage storage and staff are very helpful all the way around.

The property is located on the main road so you are very near to the eating joints and other shops and services. There is a superstore and pharmacy across the street. The room was small but has almost everything you need like a mini fridge and a safe, almira, good beddings and a mini bathtub in the bathroom. If they can add an electric kettle in the room it will be great plus. The metro station is also near by and notre dame is 15-20 mins walk away max. The neighborhood seemed very safe and quiet but at night you you can hear some cars going by but it's not something which bothered us. We only were able to talk to the people at the reception all of them very nice and polite. The gentleman at the time of the checkout was super friendly and offered us recommendations for the rest of our trip in france which was very helpful. Overall very happy with stay will come back whenever I visit paris again.

This is a pleasant hotel in a great area of the Latin Quarter. Rooms are plain, but clean and comfortable. The front desk staff and housekeeping were exemplary: I fell ill during my stay and they were helpful and supportive.

Hotel was very clean, but older and very small. I know this is typical for Paris, but a little upgrade would be nice. Location was perfect for us and we were only there to sleep. Looks like there is a slightly nicer hotel, 2 doors down for more money.

Centrally located hotel in the Quartier Latin close to the Pantheon, Notre-Dame, Palais de Luxembourg, the Grande Mosquée, and many other sites. My single room was relatively small, but ok, had a narrow window balcony, and a modern bathroom. The corner shower was hard to get into though, since it opened on the corner. Getting into the shower definitely required a stomach squeeze! The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful with a mix of cold and warm items, satisfying local and international travelers alike. All hotel employees were very friendly and helpful all the time. That was very much appreciated. The hotel is located between two Metro stops (Pace Monge M7 and Cardinal Lemoine M10) and near several bus lines. A number of good restaurants is also nearby. I fully recommend the hotel.

I will say that the very best part of this hotel is the location. We were able to have a very lovely few days in Paris because this was located in a good place. The bed was comfortable, and our window opened onto a large courtyard which was very picturesque. However, there wasn’t really a shower, more realistically a bath, which was a bit difficult to use at times. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!
I will say that the very best part of this hotel is the location. We were able to have a very lovely few days in Paris because this was located in a good place. The bed was comfortable, and our window opened onto a large courtyard which was very picturesque. Excellent location near restaurants and bars of Latin Quarter. Two metro stops close by. We walked to Eiffel Tower, Louvre etc although some may prefer Metro. Vincent and very nice man from Algeria were wonderfully helpful with suggestions and assistance. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel can arrange taxi to CDG for about 70 Euros. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff is ultra helpful. Room standard but nice. Does have ac which was a big plus as they have been having a heat wave. The only negative for us was the elevator was out and we were on the 4th floor so had to walk up and down with luggage and ourselves every time. We checked in Tuesday and checked out Thursday but no repair. They had tried to get someone and that company kept delaying coming. So it would have been really much better for us with all the walking around Paris if that were operational. Otherwise staff is ultra friendly. They have a luggage storage and staff are very helpful all the way around.

The hotel was very nice, clean, quiet and everybody was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in 51 Rue Monge, 75005 Paris, France. The nearest metro station was 1/2 block away and was very convenient. What I liked more about the hotel were the employees, especially the administrators in the reception area. They were extremely friendly, ready to answer whatever questions I had. I had lots of interesting conversations with Vincent and Jacob. They catered to my needs like old friends during my 3-week stay. I am planning of combing back and staying at this hotel again in 2024. I highly recommend Hotel Des Arenes.

Great front desk staff..location is fabulous! Metro 7 3 blocks to left, metro 10 one block to right. Another line straight around the corner to left. Notre Dam and Seine a short walk down the hill to left. Bakeries on all corners. A Starbucks about 4 blocks out front door to left! Open air Market 2 blocks to left. Laundry mat a few doors to the left!! So many eateries. 5th arr has it all!! My best advice is to hop on the metro! It's simple!

Enjoyed the location. Walkable to Notre Dame area and close to several metro stops. Weekly market nearby. Elevator and stairs available to access the rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Quiet and safe feeling street at night. The room itself was comfortable and clean, but not freshly remodeled or decorated. It is not luxury but a very good option for location and for the price.

Kleines süßes Hotel. Wir hatten, auf Wunsch, ein Zimmer hintenraus von daher auch sehr ruhig nachts. Ansonsten war das Zimmer zweckmäßig. Super nettes Rezeptionspersonal. Prime location, walked almost everywhere plus there’s two metro stations within a block either way, we had a laundromat and a pharmacy also a block away and shops and restaurants within walking distance, Our stay was a success we were very happy with the overall experience, our room was spacious, the bathroom a little tighter than we’re use to but nice and clean, with plenty of hot water, the front desk service and assistance top notch, and we enjoyed the breakfast spread as well.

Amazing restaurants and local night life, Pantheon is a short walk and Norte Dame is down the street 5 blocks. Situated in the Latin Qtr, La Maris area 4 blocks down. Very local vibe.

This hotel is in a great area in the 5th arrondissement and Latin Quarter. Within walking distance of many popular attractions. It had a great shower, decent AC, and the nicest people working the front desk. Behind the hotel is an ancient Roman arena ruin, which held a loud concert during the summer solstice while we were there. That’s not the hotel’s fault but do be aware. The beds are comfy. My only issue was that we could not find any electrical outlets anywhere except the bathroom and behind the TV. There is a pharmacy nearby, many fun cafes, two great boulangeries (we loved Maison Gaumer) and a metro stop.
