No air conditioning here. I forgot to check whether or not this hotel offered air conditioning ("climatisation" in French) when booking, something that was sorely needed here (and expected at the price we paid for our stay). Tiny room (expected) with an upper loft, which made it hot and stuffy in the upstairs bed. They did offer fans (which helped) but then we kept tripping over them (due to the tiny room). Opening the windows wasn't a good option due to the street noise (and outside heat). So we barely slept the couple of nights we stayed here. The overall condition of the hotel, rooms (and especially bathroom) was rather worn and dated (nearly dilapidated). There are definitely better hotel choices at better prices.

For those visiting in the summer, please note that there is no air conditioning and the rooms get extremely hot. Even with two fans running and taking cold showers, the heat never really went away, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The room itself is very small, though the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again during the summer.

Though the hotel advertised it was air conditioned that was only in the lobby. The individual rooms did not have AC. Therefore if you wanted to leave the window open for air it let in bugs and you has to deal with the street noise

The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We stayed during extremely hot days, and there was no air conditioning in our room. It was hard for us to come back to a hot room after a fun, long day in Paris and try to sleep at night with a fan and the window open. ( We booked our room months ahead , so we didn’t know it would get that hot during our stay in Paris. ) Although, we were offered free water bottles each day and they were very helpful! The bed was comfy and the location was perfect for us.

Great location by the Opera. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was very dated and didn't seem like 3star. Elevator is situated right by room doors and is very loud. Thin walls and could hear conversations until all hours from neighbors in the whole hall. Stated on signs they are ecofriendly, but when hanging towels to conserve, they would always give new ones everyday so I had to stop asking for service so they wouldn't change out for no reason.

We had a lovely stay. The family that owns the hotel are warm and helpful. They speak French, English and I heard at least one speaking German. There is a small elevator, and our room was small, but these things are to be expected in a building of that age in that area. We arrived early and were able to store our bags there so we could walk around the city. There was always plenty of free bottled water available to us. We found our beds very comfortable and we slept well. The area is charming.

It was a good stay for 3 nights, very clean and excellent customer service from the reception team. The only problem was the shower area, I was not able to properly take a shower due to the or lack of room inside the tub. I bend down in my knees so I can wash my self.

The hotel is in a perfect location, just a few minutes was from Paris Opera Garnier. The family who runs it are bilingual in French and English and are extremely helpful. Our rooms were small but very clean, and there is a lift so you don’t have to climb the stairs.

I have to be completely honest with my review. I think the friendly staff made the experience much better. All minus the first night where there was broken glass all over the floor in our room and the first lady who welcomed us at reception had no interest in helping us however the next young man after her helped clean this up instantly when we told him so he was great. The design and style of the hotel was pretty but the rooms are very small and as it was over 25 degrees with no AC, it was hot but we were given 2 fans and kept balcony window open which helped. The elevator is quite small and old school. The property is only a 10min walk from Louvre and 15min from Opera Garnier and Galleries Lafayette so it’s a convenient location close to everything including good food nearby. The lady in reception on our last night/day was so lovely, gave us plenty tips and great at making us feel comfortable. Overall the hotel, I would say the property is more a 2 star and needs some TLC or refurbishing.

A great place to stay if you’re looking to be in the Opera area. Tons of food options (lots of asian styles for the foodies!), tons of site seeing places all within 5-10mins walking or biking, and an overall cozy and safe area to be in for any type of traveller/tourist. The staff are the standouts for this location. All attentive, knowledgeable, and so pleasant. My frequent receptionist, Setti, was such a lovely and pleasant representative to ask any questions, requests, and even just to chat with. I won’t forget her! 5/5 overall!

This hotel is owned and run by an exceptional family that made us feel as though were family rather than guests. The hotel was clean comfortable and safe. We were able to walk to sites and while the streets,and sidewalks are narrow we had no issues getting to our tours on time. This is where we will always stay when we are in Paris.

Nice, cozy hotel and super convenient location just short walk to all touristic sights! I was looking for a single room and this hotel exceeded my expectations. My room was renovated and had a Juliette balcony and a desk - I could work from my room! The bed was very comfortable. Very clean room - new flooring and no carpet (unlike other hotels I was looking at when looking for a place) The breakfast was very nice - well worth 10 euros - the lady serving it was super friendly and attentive. Special kudos to the manager - Alice - she was so helpful and professional - my wifi was not working due to my phone settings and she could fixed it quickly! Also she is always there smiling and ready to help! They even have bottled water for you in the reception. Wonderful experience! If I ever come to Paris again, I will choose this hotel!!!

The staff were wonderful and friendly and were happy to give recommendations for restaurants and cafes in the area. We arrived at 10am on the day of check in and asked if our room would be ready any earlier and they understandably said that’s not possible and to come back at 3pm. We did this but at 3pm they said the room will be another 40 minutes. We were very tired and this was a big inconvenience as check in time is listed as 3pm. For the rest of the stay there were no issues and staff were very helpful

We found our stay at Hôtel Baudelaire Opéra to be okay. The best part about the hotel is the location, on a walking distance of the Louvre Museum, the Tuileries Garden and the Place Vendôme and with metro stations nearby. The fact that the reception staff speaks English quite well is an extra plus, especially for a hotel in France. On the other side, the guy at the reception didn’t recommend breakfast at the hotel, which he was right about, since it’s served in the basement of the hotel, without any daylight and not very cosy or pleasant. We had a standard room, which is very small, yet convenient. The interior of the room doesn’t seem changed in 30 or 40 years, but the bathroom seemed newer. One thing we really lacked during our stay beginning of August, was airconditioning. It was very warm in the room, which wasn’t great for our night rest.

The hotel is in a great location, walkable to almost everything, with easy metro access to places too far to walk. The staff is very helpful. The beds are very comfortable. Everthing is super clean. La ubicación del hotel es excelente. Es un hotel modesto con lo necesario para la estancia. Cuenta con wifi, desayuno (se paga a parte). El elevador es pequeño. Cuenta con TV (variedad de canales). La habitación en la que me hospedé no hay aire acondicionado, la ducha tenía una gotera, contaba con frigobar con algunas bebidas dentro (no son gratis), bastantes toallas, la cama cómoda. Cada que sales del hotel hay que dejar la llave de la habitación en recepción.
