Good place to stay if catching the Eurostar to London as it is just a short walk from the station. Comfortable and clean and jug with tea,coffee,sugar and milk provided. However the power did go off in the morning just before I was leaving so don’t know what the problem was.But because no power I had to carry my bag down 2 lots of stairs because couldn’t use the lift.

Pros: Staff was kind and helpful. Restrooms look remodeled and clean. There was a safe provided. Beds were clean and housekeeping did a great job of cleaning up daily. Cone: Property itself was poor compared to my expectations. Our room floor was slanted, making all the furniture slanted. The room was on the smaller side. There was no AC but they did provide us with a fan, but still the room ran hot. The walls are definitely thin and you can hear everything around you.

6e étage alors que l'ascenseur ne va que jusqu'au 5e et que je suis une personne à mobilité réduite... Porte compliquée (dure à fermer ou à ouvrir la poignée tourne dans le vide). Chambre vraiment petite et surtout entendre les voisins ce n'est pas très agréable. Le petit déjeuné est très limite pour 9€. Le plus c'est que c'est très simple d'accès, bouteilles d'eau et madeleine dans la chambre offertes :)

The front desk staff was great. They were all very helpful and kind. The cleaning staff didn't have much consistency with their supplies for the room. Some days we had the proper towels, etc. and some days we didn't. Some days we were provided bottled water and some days not. The bed didn't have a top sheet, just the comforter. This may be standard for this hotel but seems odd.

Mon séjour à l’Hôtel Altona a été une expérience des plus agréables ! L’accueil a été extrêmement chaleureux, avec un personnel toujours souriant et attentif. La chambre ainsi que la salle de bains étaient d’une propreté irréprochable, ce qui m’a permis de me sentir très à l’aise. L’hôtel est également bien situé, parfait pour profiter de Paris. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour leur professionnalisme et leur gentillesse. Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation et y reviendrai avec plaisir lors de mon prochain passage à Paris !

O Hotel é bem antigo. Da para perceber que antigamente, deve ter sido um hotel de qualidade. Os quartos são bem antigos e pequenos, com várias adequações e melhorias a serem feitas, como por exemplo, o carpete está antigo e manchado, as paredes descascando. I am a room attendant/ housekeeping for 5years in a 4star hotel in the Philippines. And I stayed for two nights in Hotel Altona and it is so amazing. The room is clean , also the bathroom. everything is perfect! And when I plan to visit in Paris again I will definitely make a reservations here in Hotel Altona. :) Overall had a great stay! We chose this hotel because it was close (but not too close) to the Gare du Nord. It is small and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast there as we don't usually eat breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Very clean room and comfy bed, our shower room looked newly done. Only criticism is that the carpets on our landing need replacing. Very good for the money.

Welcoming staff. Hotel itself was in a central location in Paris but the trade off was that this meant noisy streets outside, especially with our hotel rooms facing the street. We did have fans which helped offset the noise outside, which was helpful. Other people in our group got quieter rooms facing the back courtyard.

Though the hotel at a bit rough area, from my perspective, the hotel was rather nice with quiet and clean. Some of receptionists were very kind and have good hospitality. I recommend this hotel if you have small luggage.

If you’re staying here it must only be for convenience. The location is average, the rooms are minimal and the price is cheap. The service is terrible, the shower leaks, and you may need to drag your suitcase up some stairs. The wifi works and they give you a bottle of water, and it’s near the station.

Trevlig personal när man kom dit. "Sängbordet" som satt på sängramen ramlade ner under natten.... Såg på morgonen att den bara hade tejpats på med dubbelsidigt tejp på sängramen... Inte konstigt att den ramlade ner. Duschen var ok första natten. Nätterna därpå var vattenstrålarna VÄLDIGT svag av någon konstig anledning. Det gick inte äns att ta en snabbdusch. Pratade med receptionisten som tyckte den var normal och sa att dom ej kunde göra något... Man såg tydligt att vattnet inte sprutade ut något. Bra läge med nära station, men ej säkert om man bor själv då stationen som ligger närmast verkar väldigt livat på kvällarna/nätterna.

For a budget priced hotel we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were always pleasant, room serviced every day and a beautiful en suite shower room which looked newly done. The locality with the metro station, patisserie, and several cafes and restaurants very close by more than made up for the unkempt look of the area in some places. A short stroll brings you to MontMartre and the Opera the other way plus Gare du Nord was €11 in an uber. We would definitely use Hotel Altona again.

Two couples, four night stay, exploring Paris. Out all day after an excellent breakfast at the hotel. Our two rooms were recently refurbished, clean and perfectly adequate. All staff we came into contact with were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotels price/location were great for us - very easy to get to wherever we wanted to go in Paris. We had a great time.

Property is situated in close proximity to public transport, rooms are clean, staff is friendly & responsive. Would have preferred room with Patio as advertised on Expedia, however received room with window facing back of property which is clustered and not much of natural air. Shower space was quite cramped, making it very uncomfortable for normal sized person. Breakfast was not value for money, most of my stay they ran out of croissants by 10 and was served with dry bread which is far too much for 6 Euros.
