We loved this hotel. Would absolutely stay there again. It's in a very walkable area and is steps away from a great Metro stop. The people are incredible: friendly, knowledgeable, and FUN! We really felt like we were coming "home" at the end of each day. Great bar, nice bathroom, comfy bed, and a fantastic location.

I stayed at le general hotel christmas eve and christmas day. I am irish so I will quote a famous irishman James Joyce and use Molly Bloom soliloquy at the end of Ulysses to aid my review. Are you greeted at checkin with a sit down on a lounge and Champagne yes. Are the rooms modern with all and extra inclusions ( like a coffee machine with cafe Ricards chocolates and locatanie toiletries plus uniquely a pod shower spa) oh yes. is breakfast worth the price yes. Is there a gym and sauna yes. Is it quite yes. Is the lounge stocked with books and fun activities (eg scate boards) yes yes. Is and was Ekatarina in reception the perfect generous knowledgeable host oh my yes. And to tantalise you stay to find out “what the duck ?” is your going away gift? Like Ulysses returning home to Penelope this is where I will return to when next I stay in Paris. There is nothing general about Le General Hotel it is exceptional.

Had a great stay from start to the end. Welcome on the first day was so cute coupled with recommendations (based on a survey sent to me before my stay), chocolates and a goodie bag waiting for me on my bed:) Really clean hotel, gym area was way better equipped than I expected and the sauna was clean (both were open early and closed at midnight). The receptionists were always helpful and attentive whenever I asked for sth. I highly recommend the breakfast:) last but not the least, the location was really good. I went everywhere on foot:) Definitely recommend!

This hotel gives us full of surprises in a good way. From the moment we checked, we were offered drinks coffe and snacks. The receptionist made us feel like coming home. Location is superb, public transportation is at door step. Choice of restaurants and eateries are endless. This cute boutique hotel has everything you need. Comfy bed, nice bathroom with bath tab, gym, sauna and great brwakfast. Above all what makes this hotel so homely and unique are the staffs. They are the stars and thank you for making our short stay so wonderful. We will definitely be back again.

Can't really give a proper review as we weren't in our room very much for the 2 nights other than for sleeping only. Too busy out and about. Firstly on arrival we were offered snacks and drinks and as we were early and room wasn't ready reception took our luggage for storage so we could get straight out. When checking out they also held our bags for us so we could again go out and about and pick them up later for our evening flight. Hotel is located a very short walk from republique metro station which is connected to 5 different metro lines and only a few stops away from Gare Du Nord for connecting to CDG airport. Area is quite busy, bustling at times with plenty of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants etc Hotel is down a side street so wasn't much noise at night. All staff at Le General we dealt with were excellent, very friendly, helpful and polite. Room was absolutely fine for what we required, big enough with comfortable beds. Nice touches with Nespresso machine, some bottled water, l'occitane toiletries, robes and slippers. Everything worked, room was well cleaned and water and Nespresso capsules topped up. Didn't have breakfast and didn't even get into hotel bar so can't comment. Would definitely stay here again, staff were excellent, hotel was nice and clean and location worked for us.

Adoramos o hotel, aquele lugar que te acolhe, nos sentimos em casa, Luiz, chefe da recepção nos recebeu com café e croissants, o acolhimento brasileiro com toque francês, não poderia ser melhor. Hotel bem localizado, perto metrô, café da manhã, serviço, limpeza, uma pequena academia, enfim, não decepcionou em nada, super recomendo.

Mange små detaljer som gjorde et super inntrykk, som f.eks. espresso & croissant ved innsjekk, liten reisevennlig Evian vannflaske og Nespresso på rommet, og en egen brosjyre om løpeturer med start fra hotellet. Helt stille inne på rommet og komfortabel seng og romteperatur. Jeg ankom tidlig og rommet mitt var faktisk klart allerede, så det var helt topp å kunne sette igjen bagasje og begynne å oppdage Paris tidlig med en sightseeing løpetur. Kommer såklart igjen!

Friendly and helpful staff. Area is very convenient with 3 metro stations nearby, lots of restos and shops in the area, very walkable. At night you can hear the traffic and crazies on the streets but that’s all over Paris. Sad to see all the graffiti everywhere, even on monuments. Coffee, tea and water provided, small in room safe and treats. Daily housekeeping. Room and bed comfy, washroom decent, need some touch up and shower had no door. Hot water was scorching. 2 fast elevators. Breakfast decent. We would stay here again. No need to bring cash as everyone wants you to tap credit card. No tip required at most places.

The front staff was great. My disappointment appear that the cleaning staff doesn't report problems in the room. Our drapes were torn badly. Clearly visible by maids but front staff unaware, tried sewing it and using duct tape. also some minor mold in bathroom ceiling, again front staff unaware

I was taken by surprise as to how amazing this hotel is. From the minute I got there until I checked out, the staff at this hotel went over and above to make sure I had everything I needed. Their food recommendations were so good. The hotel is conveniently located and you can either walk or hop onto the metro that is a 2 min walk away. My room was always clean and I was surprised how large the bathroom was for Paris standards. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Thank you.

One of the best value for money hotels I’ve stayed in recently. Great location with two metro stops within few minutes walk, same for restaurants and grocery stores. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room is not big but it’s normal for Paris, very well designed, great coffee maker, large window to the quiet street, large bathroom. Will absolutely stay again.

Wow, what a awesome quirky hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming. We arrived early and were checked in almost immediately which was great. When we arrived in the room, they had provided my daughter with a card and small gift which was lovely. We had a double room which was a comfortable size and decorated nicely. The bed and pillows were sooooo comfortable and felt like I was sleeping on cloud 9. The bathroom was a good size too and the shower pressure and temperature was great. The hotel provide L’Octaine products which was a nice addition and speaks to the quality of the hotel. The hotel is close to Republique metro station which links you to most places in Paris within 20 minutes. There are several lovely restaurants located close to the hotel. The best thing about this hotel was the staff who go out of their way to help you at any time of the day.

I had a seemingly unique room designated for one person only. It was small as expected, but just be aware that the bed is short (I'm 5 ft 9 and was reaching the end of the bed) so do not book this room if you are taller. Also after committing to the 18 euro buffet breakfast, I realised there was only cow's milk so I did not enjoy my coffee or cereal. In 2025, there should be milk alternatives offered. Apart from those things, I enjoyed my stay, the staff were nice, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. And most importantly, the shower pressure was great! Excellent location; close to metro stations and also quiet.

Boutique hotel in a very convenient area. Fantastic staff and easy to get to from Gare du Nord. The bed/pillows could be slightly more comfortable but we slept well. Thanks to all the team for a great stay.

The stafff are very friendly. The room is very small but it’s clean. Be mindful for those with mobility issues that you have to climb into a bath tub to shower and stepping out can be slippery. It’s a very quirky designed hotel. Mid century style. There are lots of restaurant and bars around but so noise does become an issue if you are a light sleeper. This hotel was a perfect 10 for my family. We booked the junior suite. My daughter had her private area to sleep and we were able to close off our room as well. It was clean and the staff was incredible. We got there a couple hours before check in, so after we did the paperwork, we left to get lunch and came back at check in time to find they had already taken our luggage to our room. So stress free for us. There is an elevator and air condition for a comfy stay. The breakfast was basic but good- eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. Hotel is located close by the metro. Theres not a single negative thing I can say about this place. I would definitely stay here on my next visit.

We got there a couple hours before check in, so after we did the paperwork, we left to get lunch and came back at check in time to find they had already taken our luggage to our room. So stress free for us. There is an elevator and air condition for a comfy stay. The breakfast was basic but good- eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. Hotel is located close by the metro. Theres not a single negative thing I can say about this place. I would definitely stay here on my next visit.

Wow this hotel is amazing ! Firstly the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they gave us a coffee and some croissants free of charge when we arrived in the morning to drop off our bags, they also gave us a complimentary glass of wine later in the day, how many hotels do that ? Our room was clean and beautifully presented, the bed was very comfortable, shower was brilliant, the outlook from our room was also great, I cannot praise this hotel enough, it is also very individual, with many interesting pictures and books around to look at, we will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Paris.

We had an excellent stay. Staff member on check in was excellent, friendly and efficient. Room was very spacious and clean with l’occitane products in bathroom. When we returned after rugby match, night staff member was again fantastic. Went above and beyond to recommend and make a hot drink to aid my sore throat. Best service I have received in any hotel! Highly recommend!

The staff at this hotel are absolutely fantastic, So helpful and kind, willing to go out of their way to help with any request you may have. Loved the hotel, especially its location, walking distance to 2 metro stations (within 3 mins) which has great connections to many metro lines. One of the best value for money hotels I’ve stayed in recently. Great location with two metro stops within few minutes walk, same for restaurants and grocery stores. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room is not big but it’s normal for Paris, very well designed, great coffee maker, large window to the quiet street, large bathroom. Will absolutely stay again.

This was such a great hotel to stay at during our week in Paris. The location is perfect: the metro station is literally a 3 min walk. Most of the places to eat that we had bookmarked for Paris were within a 20 min distance. The neighborhood is safe to walk around in, late at night. The 3rd arrondissement (Le Marais) is extremely walkable and has so many boutiques and eateries that you’ll always keep coming back to it. The hotel staff couldn’t be nicer! They were very warm and welcoming, they suggested a place for lunch while we waited for the room to be ready (we were a bit early). The lobby is very artsy and cool and stocked with yummy snacks to eat. I will recommend this hotel to anyone I speak to!

We enjoyed our stay in Le General. It's a very quirky little hotel, with friendly staff and very conveniently located. Super quick and easy to get to/from Gare du Nord. Plenty of good options to eat at walking distance.

Can't really give a proper review as we weren't in our room very much for the 2 nights other than for sleeping only. Too busy out and about. Firstly on arrival we were offered snacks and drinks and as we were early and room wasn't ready reception took our luggage for storage so we could get straight out. When checking out they also held our bags for us so we could again go out and about and pick them up later for our evening flight. Hotel is located a very short walk from republique metro station which is connected to 5 different metro lines and only a few stops away from Gare Du Nord for connecting to CDG airport. Area is quite busy, bustling at times with plenty of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants etc Hotel is down a side street so wasn't much noise at night. All staff at Le General we dealt with were excellent, very friendly, helpful and polite. Room was absolutely fine for what we required, big enough with comfortable beds. Nice touches with Nespresso machine, some bottled water, l'occitane toiletries, robes and slippers. Everything worked, room was well cleaned and water and Nespresso capsules topped up. Didn't have breakfast and didn't even get into hotel bar so can't comment. Would definitely stay here again, staff were excellent, hotel was nice and clean and location worked for us.

The whole experience was great from start to finish, the staff were so attentive could not do enough. Rooms had all you needed and very clean, breakfast was mix of great and tasty food. The location was fantastic close to all ammonites metro, shops, restaurants and main attractions.

I had a seemingly unique room designated for one person only. It was small as expected, but just be aware that the bed is short (I'm 5 ft 9 and was reaching the end of the bed) so do not book this room if you are taller. Also after committing to the 18 euro buffet breakfast, I realised there was only cow's milk so I did not enjoy my coffee or cereal. In 2025, there should be milk alternatives offered. Apart from those things, I enjoyed my stay, the staff were nice, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. And most importantly, the shower pressure was great! Excellent location; close to metro stations and also quiet.

We are so glad we discovered this boutique hotel! It’s full of amenities and surprises while being centrally located near so many places and public transportation.
