Libertel Canal Saint Martin

Though the hotel is small and tight, it was very clean and comfy for its price. Bathroom wasn't the most private as it was only a sliding door (we were a couple so we were personally okay~ might be akward for other pairs) but had a very convient drying bar for towels. Not luggage friendly like most of Paris, but it does have elevators. The true value of it lies in its location. Very good spot that connects to 3 metro lines and 2 major train stations, walkable by the canal/beautiful parks, and lots of choices for a late night bite. definitely recommend!

The room was in general clean but for some reason our room had a very strong perfume smell. We tried to open the window but still couldn't get rid of it. Otherwise it was a good stay. The room was spacious, but doesn't come with a fridge or a safe. We didn't need them so it was okay.

ホテルのフロントの方はいつも優しかったです。 部屋に冷蔵庫はないです。中庭に面した部屋はとても静かでした。 エアコンの効きはあまり良くなさそうなので、夏の宿泊は辛いかも知れません。服は特別あったかいわけではありませんが、タオルウォーマーが部屋を暖めてくれました。タオルが暖かいのも良かったです。 駅、スーパー、飲食店全てホテルから近いのです。 ムーランルージュを観てUberタクシーで帰って10€の距離です。

Everything was very nice. The only concern was I could not adjust the temperature or air flow in the room.

The hotel is at a great location, close to the train and Metro. The only problem was that there was no AC ( maybe there was but it wasnt working). There was a drying rack for towels but it didnt work. The matrass of the bed was like sleeping in a prison. Overall, only possitive side was the location. I dont reccomend this hotel. Way to exspenvie for what you get.

Hôtel en travaux mais chambres spacieuses et très propres. Les travaux sont vraiment nécessaires car l'équipement et la décoration sont vraiment vieillissantes Chambres coté avenue bruyantes. Accueil agréable et petit déjeuner avec des produits de qualité. La proximité du métro est appréciable.

pontos fortes: portaria 24 horas, educação do pessoal do frontdesk, localização excelente, café da manhã apesar de caro, muito bom melhorias: - porta do chuveiro muito grade, tinha que me espremer na parede para fechá-la, deveria ser um porta sanfonada, ou até uma cortina - nosso apartamento ficou em outro prédio, ficando sujeito ao tempo na passagem, deveria haver uma cobertura; - café da manhã poderia ter ovos mexidos e não apenas cozidos. - apartamento sem frigobar.

We had a good stay. The hotel was quite central, the staff were very friendly, helpful & informative. The access to the room was tricky, because the lifts exit between the floors, making the trip to the bedrooms quite dangerous, as the steps are very narrow & the floor is uneven.

A great location, not too far from the Eurostar station. Not too hard to find. You have the option to get here from the station via Metro or by walking. We didn’t have much luggage, so we walked and it was easy. Walk took about 20 minutes. Reception wasn’t busy when we arrived, so check in was quick and easy. We got the room at the end at the top floor, with no lifts, but it was fine as we were young and fit. Room was good, had what we needed for a few days and for the evenings to rest. We were out sightseeing most of the day. Really convenient location, with two supermarkets on the same round, quick walking distance. Room had a large bed, TV, kettle, and the main facilities. Room was small and compact. Toilet was small and had to walk to the other side to wash my hands. Shower always had hot water when we used it, and there was shower gel, cream and hairdryer; with a warming drying rack too. Air con wasn’t the strongest, and it times out, but good enough for our stay in September. Bed was comfortable. Just didn’t have a safe or wardrobe, but not too big of an issue, there were a few hangers. The main thing was it was clean.

The food options were hamburgers, kabobs, onion soup, salads, pastries, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and within feet of the hotel is a grocery store for people on a budget. Nearby is a pharmacy which requires some French. The hotel is near the metro or perfect for safe canal walking exploration. I found the best restaurants and souvenirs walking. You will need comfortable walking shoes in Paris. My check-in was easy. I showed my passport and Expedia confirmation email took 2 minutes. My room had breakfast included. Breakfast was fruit, hard boiled egg, cereal, various cheeses, pastries, toast, crepe/pancake ....syrup/ Nutella available. There is hot tea, juice, milk, water, coffee, and my favorite hot chocolate. The bathroom shower had good pressure and excellent temperature to adjust for preference. The rooms are quiet at night and the black out drapes make sleep heavenly. My bed was so comfortable I would return for a mid- day rest before walking some more. My only complaint was room cleaning service...not all the trash was taken, tea bags were not refilled, hand soap and toilet paper ran out, and the toilet was not cleaned. The staff didn't come clean twice when I requested. Sadly, I cleaned or rfilled my room. Self-service. Overall, it is a safe and wonderful hotel for a solo female traveler. I plan on returning because the rest of the staff was wonderful!

I like this hotel because it is just two metro stops away from Gare du Nord while being way better than any comparatively priced options near the station. The Canal de l'Ourcq and the Buttes Chaumont nearby are great areas for a walk or a run. The local area has a lot of food options that won't break the bank. Rooms are clean and quiet.

Good for solo travelers wishing to visit Paris. Easy access to metro and train stations, along with a quiet area at night, far outweigh the tiny bathroom and weirdly stained sheets. Good value for the price and friendly staff.

L’isolation phonique de la chambre est vraiment très insuffisante. Le fait que ce soit très petit n’est pas un problème, c’était propre. Mais le bruit des portes palières et des portes voisines et des occupants, non ce n’est pas acceptable

L'isolation phonique serait à améliorer car les chambres donnant sur la rue sont très très bruyantes.

Normal Paris size = small, but well designed and had everything I needed.

Nice hotel with big rooms for Paris. Good bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful personal. Our room was on the street side and loud, but this was due to the bus, the metro and the delivery to all the restraunts. If you are sensitiv, ask for a room in the back.

We had a courtyard room, but it was on the ground floor. Nevertheless it was extremely quiet. The room was extremely small - even by Paris standards, but perfectly clean and well decorated. Although there was air-conditioning, it wasn't particularly strong so took a while to cool down in the 34C heatwave. However, the best thing was the location. <5mins to the Metro, close to the canal and a lovely neighbourhood.

The room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast buffet is not special but has good options. The metro and supermarket are within 100 meters of the hotel.

One of the worst hotel receptionists i've met. Got there at 12pm a bit too early to check in which was faire enough, receptionist told us to come back at 2pm when check in opens. We wanted around and sat in a cafe and cam back at 2pm. She said the room isnt ready yet and to wait 5 mins. we waited 25 before i asked if it was perhaps ready yet. she told me she cant say when its ready and that check in opens at 2 but it could be anytime after and that was the hotel policy? meaning we could be waiting there until anytime after as in like 7pm and told us to go away out for the day and come back. We said we would like to go to the room to change for dinner etc but she was so so rude saying she doesnt know when the room will be ready and to go away. Honestly i sat there crying waiting an hour and 10 mins in the lobby after an 8 hr flight with no apology and the receptionist just saying stop crying. she was speaking french to another woman who was also super rude not knowing that i speak french. Room was small and smelly food from street came right inside. Just dont go here, not worth the agro or stress

The staff were excellent, friendly and courteous. I had a hassle-free change of room because I needed to stay a 3rd night. The first room was spacious and quiet (internal courtyard), and the second was smaller and facing the road. Had a good breakfast on one morning. The location next to Jaures (metro line 5) is very convenient, and the Canal Saint Martin is a short walk, and has plenty of food, drink and people-watching to cater to all tastes. All-in-all a good place for a few days in Paris

overall my stay was nice till the end. until the checkout person got upset with me for not saying good morning and then went to insult my country

The recepcionista mr Jean Claude was great, our room key didn’t work! And he took the time to come over and open the room he got us a cab, and we left! And then I noticed that I forgot my phone, we came back to the hotel, and I told Jean Claude about it and he took me back to my room and open it for me. He was extremely helpful and efficient.

The hotel was good, clean room, clean bathroom. Had a window but at night was noisy, because a cross the road the McDonald opened until 5am, and on weekends drunken people still partying outside. The hotel itself it was safe, but outside was sketchy, homeless and drunk dealers around, sometime asking money. Not an ideal of a good holiday for us as often we went out early morning to do activities. And arrive at night feeling alert all the time. Maybe good for short stays if you are fine with the area, as the hotel itself was good.

This is a good option in a wonderful neighbourhood in Paris that is not very tourist that has all the amenities you’re looking for.

Canal Saint Martin is an area that estate agents would call 'vibrant'. Stalingrad is the closest Metro, which while convenient isn't somewhere I'd want to loiter at night.

Location, location, location! Easy access to the metro (lines 2,5,7), a variety of boulangeries and cafes. The Buttes-Chaumond park is a 15 minute walk. Pleasant staff and clean rooms. Worth the stay.

We enjoyed our stay in Paris and this hotel was very close to the metro so it allowed us to get all over the city fairly easily. We should have done some more research as we didn’t realize just how far out the hotel was from the main attractions but also from dining options, shopping and cafes. There are limited options around so be prepared to metro anytime we need/want to go out. I’ll also mention that there is an unhoused population in the area near the metro so be prepared for that. Our room type had been oversold so instead of a queen bed they gave us two twin beds which was fine but not ideal. The quality of the toiletries was pretty disappointing but they do have the basics. The worst part of the room was that there is a small shelf above the desk and every time we stood up we hit our head on it. We’d highly recommend moving it. For the price it wasn’t bad and we still had a great trip, just had to venture out and didn’t spend much time in the room.

A good 2 night stay. Hotel is centrally located and easily accessible. Very clean and well looked after. Good breakfast. It had everything we needed. Would return.

Fabulous location near canal, great staff, good room although a little small and bed a little soft for us, but that is personal preference. Breakfast is good value

Short walk from the metro, supermarket nearby and nice restaurants in the area. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, noise insulation was a problem on two aspects: The street noise was not blocked properly and cars and buses were very loud in the room, and internal walls were thin enough to hear neighbors talking and going intimate. Breakfast lacks of healthy options (mostly pastry, some cold cuts). Shower had not enough water pressure, yet bathroom facilities excel otherwise. Very clean all over the hotel, hats off.

Right next to Metro. Staff is very friendly. 12€ breakfast is reasonable. Room is on the small side but bathroom is spacious and nice. Very clean.

Best thing about this hotel, apart from friendly staff, is the location, close to a vibrant area for restaurants, cafes and shops and the metro station, Jaures. The rooms are also quite spacious, which is not always the case in Paris. The breakfast is pretty generic, but good enough. I certainly think it is a good place to stay to explore this glorious city.
