We booked 3 nights stay at Novotel Les Halles in Paris for family vacation. I didn’t have good experience during the stay and I filed a complaint and request some compensations for my stay from April 1-4. During my stay, the hotel was being renovated without letting customers know in advance. A lot of amenities was not available (gym, outside restaurant/bar, the dome or convention/conference, etc.) Because the hotel being remodeled, main entrance and front desk were bad. I do not think the hotel even has a right entrance. Taxi/uber had a hard time to drop us off and pick us up. Around the hotel being covered. Dust is everywhere and it smells very bad around the hotel (like urine). The front desk area, elevator and hallway on the 3 floor smelled very bad and some morning smell like strong vinegar. The room air conditioner didnt work. Called front desk and they came fix and it still didnt work. The shower door isn’t big enough to prevent water to splash out to floor and it ended up our floor always be wet. Very dangerous for customers considering unhealthy environment, unsafe physically and dangerous while water on the floor leading to easy to slip. I talked to front desk same day and all they told me was sorry. I asked for another room and I was told fully booked while someone else at the hotel told me half of the hotel closed due to renovations. Every early morning we got waken up by all the big noise from construction and hotel didn’t even do anything to address the concern

Hotel is being renovated. The entrance is a little tricky to find. Very comfortable room with plenty of space. Except the carpeting needs to be replaced! Very worn and dirty. Metro/RER right outside entrance to hotel. The location is less than half hour walk to almost anything we wished to see. Fitness room is not worth experiencing. The hotel next to Novotel is allowing guest to use their gym. Don’t bother. Maybe after renovations there will be a decent workout facility? Although the area is convenient, it is very touristy and not really a French vibe. Staff was fine. Not overly welcoming. I might stay again for convenience, but probably will stay somewhere not so populated.

I think people need to know that there are some major development going on at the hotel which means the hotel bears no resemblance to the pictures. If you’re giving a room in low 3 00s then watch out because the rooms are freezing because of the development going on below. I went through all of my emails from Expedia and there was no indication that the works were going on and that noise would go on from 8 o’clock in the morning till 6 o’clock at night. I couldn’t fault the hotel at all apart from the complete lack of information. I would be quite happy to stay at this hotel again because the location is fantastic and the facilities around the hotel are brilliant spoilt by the lack of information.

The staff was amazing! We had just returned to Paris after driving through the. French countryside. We had difficulty finding the property because it is under construction, but the gentleman at the front desk was exceptional. He even followed up with us to check to see if we were lost. He went above and beyond, and when we arrived at the property, he accompanied my husband so he could find the parking garage. The only thing was we wound up paying double for the parking because they didn’t honor the agreement from the hotel. The room was very cool and clean. We enjoyed our stay there.

The location of the hotel is great, walkable to a few attractions. Metro is right outside of hotel, a lot of restaurant options. There's also a small shopping mall not far away. A few bakeries near by too. The hotel was doing renovations when we were there but we were not informed, so not too happy about that. They have a garden but we didn't get to enjoy it because of the renovation.

As a mother traveling with my family of four, our experience at Novotel Paris Les Halles was appalling. The rooms were stiflingly hot, with no AC and no ventilation, not even in the bathroom. Opening the window only brought noise from screaming people at night and construction during the day. Staff offered no real solutions, and another couple also complained about their uncomfortably hot room, saying they were “paying an arm and a leg” for such conditions. The room was filthy—we found a pill near the window and trash under the bed. Housekeeping was a joke. Despite requesting a cleaning early in the morning, our room wasn’t touched until late afternoon, and even then, the beds were made with the same linens, the sink and bathroom weren’t cleaned, and toilet paper wasn’t replaced. Staff behavior was humiliating. One employee mocked us openly, laughing and saying, “Here they are! Room 606!” every time we entered the lobby. It was demeaning and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome. The glass shower wall, which didn’t fully turn opaque, offered no privacy and was inappropriate for families. Basic amenities like water were inadequate—two tiny bottles for four people for a five-night stay, with rude refusals for more. This hotel is a disgrace to the Novotel brand. Avoid it at all costs.

The hotel is under construction and there was no advance notice of that. My hallway had construction materials and open ceiling. The rooms were in need of renovation. There was major paint peeling in the bathroom. There was a lot of debris on the floor. I entered the room and found a convertible sofa ope. It took awhile to get someone to close it up and they only got it half closed so there was a slant when you sat on it. Staff was responsive , but only partially. Example, I was given restaurant recommendations without addresses. Overall it wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t rush back.

My husband and I booked a superior room for a 3-night stay to celebrate our anniversary. We were told that we were receiving an upgraded room, which was quite the opposite to an upgrade. The room was on the highest floor, which is similar to an attic, with a sloped ceiling through half the room, and a small dormer window that allowed some light to enter. So if you are taller than 5’ you have to band over to get in to the bed. The carpet in the room was matted and felt dirty. The bathroom was renovated and quite nice though, with a spacious shower.

We stayed as a family of 3 for 6 nights. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and there were always lots on hand in the reception area if needed. Free kids ice cream and sweets in reception made this ‘the best hotel ever’ in our son’s eyes! Even though renovation work was taking place when we were there this didn’t affect our stay as noise was confined to the day time. Bustling location with at least three bakeries in walking distance for morning pastry and coffee. Easy Métro access with a station just outside. We walked to Notre Dame and the Louvre with ease. Sound proof rooms really quiet. Comfy bed and great pillows - excellent nights sleep.

We had an amazing 6 days stay at Novotel Paris Les Halles! Ideally located at the best metro/train station in Paris. Easy to get to absolutely any place in Paris. The front desk staff is professional, helpful, and friendly. The room near perfect - well insulated so we never heard any noise from our neighbors or the hallway. Additionally, the windows blocked all noise from the street. Wonderful balcony/French doors overlooking Les Halles gave us the perfect breakfast spot. The shower is among the best hotel showers I have tried - great temperature control and plenty of water pressure. The only feature we were missing was a set of drawers for our clothes. Not a huge deal but it would have been nice. We will consider this hotel for our future visits to Paris.

Good Location and did not feel unsafe. The AC in two of the rooms did not work great. It was a bit stuffy in the room. The pillows are terrible. The view we got was of the dining room which is weird. I would skip breakfast in the hotel as it is expensive and not worth the quality nor quantity of what you get. In addition, if you do not speak french it is difficult to communicate with the servers.

Amazing hotel in a great location with super friendly staff! Close to shops, bars, restaurants, metro/train. Complimentary champagne and chocolates on arrival and great location for sightseeing using the Metro. Walking distance from Louvre and Notre Dame and close by parking at St Eustache if driving. Our room even had a view of the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame! Would definitely return. Thank you!

Nice hotel. Central, walkable close to the river, shopping and many dining options. You need to walk a block to/from taxi (since it is on pedestrian street). Staff at check was very helpful, getting us a room an hour earlier than check-in time, which was great, since we were coming straight from the airport and overnight flight, in dire need to rest and shower.

Very small room; hotel is under construction so lots of dust, loose carpet edges, paint odors, full scaffolding outside our windows, etc. Would like to have known that there facility was under complete renovation especially at $400+ per night. Even the lobby moved locations during our stay. But, great location literally outside the Metro, friendly staff (except one rude male receptionist).

We had a great experience from the moment we arrived! We were dropped off by our car at the bottom of the stairs outside the hotel, and the man at the door came running over to help us with all of our luggage. He assisted in, not only getting it into the lobby, but also up to our room. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. Hotel was in a great location in the city and very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Staff was always eager to assist with directions and even ordered the car for us for our return to the airport. Even during renovations, the hotel was very clean and we did not encounter any issues. Our only complaint was that the mattress was super lumpy. It did not allow for a good nights sleep, but we absolutely loved the hotel and will stay there again when we go back to Paris!

Super close to the Westfield mall, like right behind the hotel close. Lots of food options around the hotel and close to the Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle. Breakfast was scrumptious and we enjoyed their fresh croissants. Definitely get to the breakfast area early as it can get crowded and busy later on in the morning. Only complaints is that there’s not a lot of toiletries as there’s only a 2 in 1 shampoo/body wash combo in the bathroom, and the room seems outdated with outdated carpet and chipped furniture. Room definitely needs a face lift but the AC is good. I’m glad there’s an ice machine near the elevator. Front desk receptionists are super friendly and welcoming, and always makes sure to greet us upon entrance and exit. If I would stay in Paris again, I would definitely rebook at this hotel!

Sorry I cannot provide much of a review as I spent the vast majority of my time outside of the hotel exploring what Paris had to offer. I can say the location was great. Location is good because of walking distance to lots of cafes, restaurants, shopping mall and other main tourist sites. But train station is opposite the entrance which is both convenience and trouble. The area is dirty, full of unsavory characters moving about. Looked safe but didn't like the general look and feel of it, it was dirty and crowded. The room was terribly small. They said they are giving us an upgrade but felt like downgrade. It was on the topmost floor with slanting roof. One tiny window. Felt like a prison cell. Too uncomfortable for 2 people.

何より立地が大変良く、RERの駅もメトロの駅も目と鼻の先。ルーブル美術館は歩いて10分程度。オルセー美術館もオランジェリー美術館もノートルダム寺院も散歩がてらの徒歩圏内。モネの絵画で有名なモントルグイユ街も3-4分でカフェやレストラがたくさんあるし、ホテルから20メートルにコンビニのような食料品店があってとっても便利。ホテルの朝食はブッフェスタイルで種類も豊富で美味しく満足。マイナス要素は建物自体は古いのでエレベーターの反応がおそかったり、客室はツインで2人で利用したのだが、バスローブとスリッパは1枚分のみ。テレビのリモコンが故障しており使用不可。エスプレッソマシーンも故障してたので残念だった。1日目はティシュも切れていた。でも客室はモダンにリニューアルされており、綺麗でパリにしては25平米と広めだし、掃除はちゃんとしてくれており、タオルも毎日取り替えあり快適。スタッフの方は親しみやすく親切な対応。帰りのタクシーを頼んだつもりが、ベンツのワゴンが来てびっくりしたけれどやはり乗り心地◎。（ホテル→CDG €65）ベルボーイ？が、ちょっと離れたタクシー乗り場まで思いがけず、トランクを運び案内してくれた。日本では当たり前のサービスか。でも便利で料金的にもまあ良かったと思います。

Great Stay! I was traveling with my two daughters and it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A lot of tourist sites were in walking distance, including the Louvre and Notre Dame de Paris. The breakfast was fantastic! Loved their specialty coffee machine and fresh croissants. Great location with super friendly staff. The included breakfast was fabulous and staff amazing. The property is in a safe location close to tram and shopping.The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar/dining on property was great. Nice hotel.
