Europe Saint Severin-Paris Notre Dame

Booked for my nephew and daughter to stay in 2 rooms for 2 nights. They were made to pay in full at check in. Quite noisy but to be expected in a city centre. Noisy cleaning staff early in the morning, no regard for guests. 1st morning no hot water. No working telephone in the room to contact reception. When they went down, they were rudely told it was being dealt with, no idea how long it would take, but it happened often. No apology. Another noisy night and at check out they complained to a much more helpful receptionist who could only suggest a reduction on a return stay. No chance of that!

Well-run and friendly hotel. My room had a powerful and hot shower; unfortunately the drain was partially blocked so that you were standing in 3 inches of water by the end. Also the mini-fridge did not work even though I confirmed that there was power in the socket. I reported this but nothing was done.

Can’t beat the location! The staff were very helpful regarding helping with information to see attractions. Continental breakfast was very good. Tiny elevator was fast. I would go back.

Great location, Metro around the corner on St Michel 5 minute walk to Seine another 2 minures walk to Notre Dame another 5 minutes walk to St Chappel many, many restaurants in the area from crepes to upscale full menu convience store directly across front desk very friendly & helpful luggage storage available for early check in or when checking out only NEGATIVE was the breakfast was weak, give that a miss

A charming, old, smallish hotel that has an elevator!. Has great staff and located in a central location just a short walk from the Seine and Notre Dame. Rooms are small but many in Paris are, property is kept spotless. Our shower would run over onto the floor if we weren’t careful, but I was told a renovation is to be done soon and they thanked me for letting them know. Our room had a lovely balcony where we enjoyed a Few breakfasts and evening drinks. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

The rooms were clean; the beds were good; good towels; and the air-conditioning was strong. Check-in was slow; there was no ice in the hotel; the rooms are predictably small and a little worn, but for price and location, the offering is good.

Only issue with the hotel was its lift. We were given 6 floor junior suite for stay. Lift goes till 5th floor and unfortunately it stopped working day before our check out. So you can imagine walking up to 6 floor. Surroundings if hotel is amazing and highly recommend everyone to stay here.

Delightful location & property with easy parking nearby in garage. Close walking to everything. We enjoyed every minute in our balcony rooms. Friendly staff & delicious breakfast.

Love the location of this properties. It has all restaurants and shoppings around it. Also very close to metro and buses. Property is old but well maintained and clean. However if you come back to hotel late the hot water may be out for the entire building and you may need to take a room temperature shower.

Chambre exigu au vu des prix mais comme toujours sur Paris. Pas contre lit confortable et draps doux. Je ne suis pas fan des oreillers à mémoire de forme mais pourquoi pas. Service impeccable. J'ai même pu laisser mes bagages le temps de ma journée. Très bien placé niveau visite et transport (rer, metro)

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Europe Saint Severin Paris sehr genossen. Wir haben zu zweit ein Classic Zimmer gebucht und waren aufgrund des Wetters knapp 2 Tage dazu gezwungen im Zimmer zu bleiben. Der tägliche Reinigungsservice ist top, schnell, effizient und gründlich. Leider waren einige Fliesen bröckelig bzw. fehlten, wodurch sich Asseln und ein paar andere Insekten dem Reinigungsservice entzogen und bei Dämmerung wieder hervorkamen. Wir fanden es aber nicht übermäßig störend, da es sonst wirklich sehr sauber war. Zusätzlich hatten wir in fünften Stock einen kleinen Balkon, auf dem man mit zwei Personen sitzen konnte. Die Balkone sind aufgrund der Altbauweise sehr klein, bitte beim Buchen beachten. Das wirkt sich auch auf die Zimmergröße aus. Obwohl wir wussten, wie groß unser Zimmer ist, da das Hotel die Zimmergrößen online angibt, kam uns unser Zimmer doch sehr sehr klein vor. Mit Bad und Balkon hatten wir vielleicht 12 Quadratmeter. Das heißt in das Schlafzimmer passte gerade so das Bett, ein Schrank, ein Tischlein und zwei Nachttische. Viel bewegen konnte man sich anschließend nicht mehr. Dennoch war das Bett sehr bequem und auch das Bad war sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Klimaanlage war leise, sehr effizient und leicht zu bedienen. Man bekommt bei einem Petit dejuner kein näherreiches Frühstück, sondern eher einen kleinen Snack. Das Buffet im Hotel ist ntsprechend gestaltet. Die Pancakes sind nicht frisch. Die Lage ist atemberaubend und das Personal wirklich super!

Great location! Cute hotel. 4 stars because there was a very strong fragrance smell. I opened the balcony door to air the room out but once the for close that smell filled the room again. Also smells like that in lobby and hallway.

The room was spotless. The staff was very helpful. The location was perfect. I was able to walk everywhere. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to Paris.

What a wonderful place. Spotlessly clean throughout, and friendly helpful staff. We had a room with a balcony and even in November one day was unseasonably warm, so a glass of wine on the balcony in the Latin Quarter was perfection. There are so many bars and restaurants nearby you're spoiled for choice. It's just a few meters from Notra Dame and the number 4 metro to Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est stations is just round the corner. If museums are your thing it's really close to the Cluny and a short walk to the history of medicine museum and the Louvre. I cant wait to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here last week for the last 5 days of our honeymoon. The location is amazing! The hotel and rooms are clean and housekeeping staff does a good job! Our bed was hard and the pillows were like lying your head on a flat surface. They need to update the furniture, bedding and pillows. We did love the big deep bathtub and the balcony. The free breakfast was good enough to get you started and out site seeing for the day. The breakfast ladies are so friendly and helpful! The front desk staff left a lot to be desired in terms of being welcoming and friendly. But, they did get the job done and answered questions when asked. The attached restaurant is good and friendly service. There is a store next door where you can buy toiletries and snacks and tons of restaurants everywhere! For the location, I highly recommend this hotel. I felt it was a little high priced for what you get in the actual room; but, location made it worth it! All in all, a good stay!

Great hotel, very clean, water pressure was amazing, very friendly staff, always welcomed with a smile from Emma at the front desk. Bus and metro stations very close to the hotel so that helped a lot to move around.

There was an unresolved issue of a strong odor of black-water coming from the bathroom. At one point I could hear water coming out of the shower head with for several seconds with the faucet fully off. Staff was not very helpful. Sent an email to owner and got no response. Need to try the manager also apparently. Fourth time we stayed there and not happy

Great location, staff, cleanliness. I had a room that was on the interior (non-street) side and it was very quiet. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

Great location for restaurants and not too far from anything in the city. Very close to Notre Dame & the Seine River. The only downside is that the rooms are VERY small.

Great little hotel and in a convenient location. Only issue was when I arrived I was offered a larger room - which was fantastic- but once I arrived in the room the A/c was not working. I notified the front desk and they were aware of the problem and that it would not be fixed anytime soon. I wish they would have made me aware initially and given me the option to choose an upgraded room without a/c or the original smaller room with a/c. All worked out in the end. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel area is very well situated - close to Notre Dame and the major sites. Very walkable area. However, the corner block that the hotel is located in is very busy and quite touristy with cheap cafes, souvenir stands, etc. So the street was noisy and busy late into the night, and it may be hard to sleep depending on the location of your room Rooms quite small with minimal decor.

Our bathroom had an oversized tub with a small shower head no higher than my hip. I don’t take baths, so using the shower was difficult. There was no grab bar, and stepping into and out of the slippery tub was a challenge. The balcony was great! It is a popular night life street, with loud voices continuing late at night.

The Hotel St. Severin is in a wonderful location. Walkable to many sites especially Notre Damn. There are many restaurants and other connivences nearby as well. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and provided us with information about the area. The service was attentive when we needed something during our stay. Our stay was short so room size did not really matter, if we had a longer stay we would have liked a bigger room, which I do think they have. Inquire when booking about this. Our shower and vanity were in the same room and there was no division or door to the shower- this was less than ideal because of flooding and the whole room got wet when using the shower. They do have other types of bathrooms in the hotel, inquire when you book. Overall, this hotel was great for our needs our only complaint was the bathroom/shower area.

Great location, very convenient to metro, RER to airports, Siene and monuments, charming areas to walk in. Room was snug with an odd corner bathtub that was raised and hard to get out of when slippery.

PERFECT location! Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Made us feel like we were their family. GREAT experience.

Every member of staff was friendly and supportive. When we had to shorten our vacation they worked hard to find a way to reimburse us for the nights we would miss and without being asked!

The hotel has a very central location, which made it convenient for getting around and exploring the area. The room was a decent size but quite old-fashioned and in need of some updates to feel fresher. The price was fair for what it offered. However, service quality varied — some staff were very friendly and helpful, while others seemed disengaged. One staff member was watching a movie on his phone at high volume and didn’t seem aware of who was entering or leaving the property, which didn’t feel very safe or professional. Overall, a convenient location but the hotel would benefit from better upkeep and improved attention to guest security.

Unhelpful & rude staff, the customer was an inconvenience! Noisy rooms, listened to a couple argue next door all night, the room smelled of sewage. Very poor experience and would not stay in this hotel again

The area is safe, right next to the metro station Saint Michel, the hotel is just perfect for a week in Paris, specially if it’s your first time. There’s a lift, the rooms are nice and the staff is so friendly, I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’d heard that hotels in Paris are old and have weird rules, but not here, it felt like a modern hotel set in a cosy historic building, and run very well. We specially loved the staff in the breakfast room, they made our day everyday by being so kind and patient, it was just so easy we kept going breakfast there every day instead of eating out.

Lovely little hotel in the heart of Paris. Only one block from the Seine and the metro station so it was easy to get anywhere from here. The staff was very nice and we were able to get a room on the 6th floor that had a view of Notre Dame. Would highly recommend

Location is beyond fantastic. If you want to be in the middle of everything, save on uber/taxi and still see and experience the city, this is the area you want to be.

This hotel was in the perfect location for walking to all the fabulous Paris sites. Sometimes a little noisy in the street outside but not unbearable. Staff was friendly and professional - would stay again!

We had the best stay ever! Our room was so clean and had the most beautiful balcony over looking the quartier. It was very close to Notre Dame, the metro stations and red bus stop. Definitely do the tour, day and night. The location was amazing! The breakfast was delicious with cappuccinos, chocolate croissants, brie cheeses, baguettes, eggs and more! The staff was amazing and very helpful. We totally recommend this hotel and we will return for sure!!

This hotel is in the lively Latin Quarter and is surrounded by good shopping and a variety of excellent restaurants. The hotel staff is exceptional. They are very friendly and efficient. My breakfast and dinner were included at the restaurant next door. The menu choices for both meals was excellent. The restaurant staff were very helpful and attentive. The hotel rooms are small and cosy. The bathroom was newly rennovated with a large bathtub. The large king size bed was extremely comfortable. A small balcony provided an additional space for viewing the Paris street scene below. Some noise is to be expected as this is a very active community with a lot of tourists and locals enjoying the cafes and evening strolls. This can go on until 10pm or midnight in the warmer months. I have stayed at this hotel twice and I have enjoyed my stay both times. Highly recommend.

This is a very good hotel and very good value! The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide selection including scrambled eggs and bacon, and custom coffee drinks such as cappuccino or double expresso. We got the dinner option included in out package, which was served at a restaurant 1/2 block away. The food there was very good ! The front desk was fluent in English. The neighborhood is a lot of fun, and the hotel is close to Notre Dame.

The breakfast was well worth the extra fee. Fresh fruits and pastries and the service was so pleasant and welcoming. The location was the primary reason for booking…in the Latin Quarters with lots of food options from quick walk in restaurants as well as nicer restaurants. The wide range of cuisine from all different countries provided many options. The metro was less than a 5 min walk. The hotel staff was very helpful with directions and transportation services.

We were surprised that our stay included breakfast AND vouchers to dine at the attached Italian restaurant. Loved the location. The room was charming, efficient, comfortable. Easy access to Transit within a block—RER B straight to CDG, another train straight to Versailles, and other metro. Would stay here again.
