⭐ Very disappointing for a supposed 4-star hotel We booked this hotel expecting a comfortable 4-star experience, but unfortunately the reality fell well short of what was advertised. The room was particularly disappointing. We had booked what was described as a Junior Suite, but it was essentially a double room with a pull-out bed. Once the bed was pulled out, it blocked the only exit from the room, which was completely unacceptable. The bathroom was dirty, and during the night the toilet cistern leaked/flooded the bathroom, making an already disappointing room even worse. The condition of the hotel also didn’t match the 4-star description. While the front-of-house areas looked reasonably presentable, the decor elsewhere was tired and dirty, including in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was equally disappointing. The restaurant food was bland; the prawns were overcooked and had a soapy taste, while the gazpacho was grainy and tasted strongly of dish water. These are not standards I would expect from a hotel presenting itself as 4-star. What made the experience particularly frustrating was the hotel’s response when we raised these issues. There was very little acknowledgement of our concerns, no meaningful apology and no compensation was offered. For a hotel marketed 4 star and priced accordingly, the accommodation, food and customer service all fell considerably short of expectations. I would not stay here again and would advise others to look elsewhere.

This is an amazing hotel if you are going to use trains or buses. The breakfast is excellent. We had a newly refurbished room with a good outlook so that was good. However, there was no easy chair despite neighbouring rooms having two. We asked a couple of times for a chair to no avail. We’d have given five stars otherwise

Parking on site HAS to be booked otherwise 3 euros gets you 24hrs in the Bleyle car park around 100 metres away. So drop luggage off first. Room and bed big. Room has kettle and some coffee etc. Air conditioning is set by the hotel with no obvious way of changing as is too warm imo at 23 degrees C. Bedding on the outside was clean, but quilt on the inside was dirty and smelly. Breakfast is excellent but a little chaotic at certain times. This is a large hotel, so staff are ok, but are trying to keep up with the customers so little or no personal touch.

The location from train is a huge plus to unload everything before heading into beautiful Colmar. I have been many times and this is the first time I opted to stay near train station. I am glad I did this and will do it again. Clean and newly renovated with a friendly staff.

The hotel is well situated across the street from the main entrance of the train station in Colmar. The reception area appeared good, the ladies were nice at reception. and breakfast was decent. With that said the room I had was really worn down- carpet was filthy, furniture and door frame with chip marks. The closet area looked dirty. Bathroom was very worn down and dingy, shower area was disgusting and toilet seat paint chipped, shower faucet was missing hardware. The room needed a remodel! I will look for another hotel to stay the next time I return back to Colmar.
