The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good. Nice ambiance and a very good breakfast. The pool was a little bit cold and it was a pitty that we booked a hotel with a spa but we couldn’t book a treatment in all 3 days we were in the hotel.

Pas à la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles (pour en avoir testé d’autres de la même collection) La chambre a besoin d’un vrai rafraîchissement, d’un bon ménage. La couette était trouée, il y avait de la poussière, de l’eau remplie à la fontaine avait été mise dans notre frigo et elle datait de 4 jours auparavant (un hôtel de ce standing pourrait au moins mettre de l’eau du jour je pense). Piscine petite, comme le hammam. Peu de transats à disposition au vue du nombre de clients. Le sauna est un peu caché, il nous a fallut poser la question de l’existence d’un sauna pour découvrir qu’il y en avait un, qui était réservable et qui se trouve dans les étages au niveau des chambres. The place was amazing, it was really cool as it was a hospice for many years before it was converted into a hotel. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was amazing. The bar was stellar. If there was a question the front staff was there to help me out.

This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe! When they say five stars, they mean it!!! As soon as we walked into the hotel, we were warmly greeted. The staff is exemplary and immediately makes you feel like a valued guest! The gentleman checking us walked us to our room, turned on the lights, and showed us some of the amenities on our way to our room. The room is so comfortable and beautiful! Even the room coffee and filtered water are wonderful details that exceed any other hotel! The architecture is a masterpiece as they retro fit this luxury hotel into an existing building. The art in the hallways, the centered lounge, and spa are so classy and chic! I’m thankful that I got to rest here after three tiring days of exploring Christmas Markets in Belgium and Germany. This hotel sets the gold standard!

It was lovely from outside but quite old and needed attention inside. Reception staff great but bad staff very slow and inattentive. Pool was very dingy and dark and very noisy filtration or water system. Steam room smelt musty.

Inspection de la chambre qui n'avait pas été faite (vieux sandwich entamé resté dans le frigo) Un peu loin à pied du centre ville ; mais il y a le métro à proximité de l'hôtel. POINT POSITIF : belle piscine et SPA agréables. Dommage que la qualité/ prix n'y était pas.

Malheureusement les chambres ne valent absolument pas le tarif de la nuit.... le matelas n'est clairement pas confortable (on touche pratiquement le sommier), la moquette vieillote, le contrôle des chambres laisse à desirer, la peinture du couloir au 2eme etage n'est pas finit (pour un 5 etoiles cest moyen). Gros souci avec l'eau chaude de la chambre (l'eau froide est revigorante mais bon ....) heureusement que le personnel à la reception est sympa et disponible (merci au night qui est venu constater pour l'eau froide dans ma chambre) Vraiment dommage car le bâtiment est magnifique

Rooms were very comfortable and a good size. Staff very welcoming and good customer service. We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We had interconnecting rooms which was perfect for our family. However one of the showers was weak and not up to standard. The pool and spa was very clean. For the size and standard of hotel, perhaps more facilities like more showers and amenities would have been even better

Bel emplacement géographique et locaux agréables; bel accueil de la réception; service du petit-déjeuner à revoir pour ceux qui arrivent une heure avant la fin. Le principal problème a été le non remplacement de deux draps de bain et d’un peignoir alors que nous avions encore une nuit à passer. Notre fille et nous avons dû partager pendant 24h un drap de bain et deux peignoirs. Ce dernier point a été problématique lorsqu’il a fallu se rendre à la piscine.

Overall very good stay, old hospice that maintains the old structure/gardens, pinturesque, only issue is that the place is quite old and you can hear people from other rooms or as walls are ceding, there are cracks in the e.g. bathroom door frame that offers little privacy.

Stunning hotel, a very short walk to the old town. Our room was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Only one criticism - the lighting in the bathroom was seriously inadequate. We will definitely return!

The team at the hotel were amazing. They lets us check in before 3pm after a very early start to the day. The room was so comfortable and spacious. It was made up every day when we came home in the afternoon - this is a rarity in hotels these days. The hotel is walkable to all parts of the city and in a great location for the metro which is two stops from Lille Europe. Pool and steam room were never that busy and I nice way to start the day or unwind in the afternoon. Would definitely stay again.

This was our 2nd stay for the Braderie and the hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and all very stylish. The service however was bad. The maid left our room completely unlocked 3 times. We alerted reception but each day had to request refreshed glasses/mugs and to lock the room. I met the maid and asked her and after that she left the full set of skeleton keys for the hotel in our unlocked door. The bar manager was aloof and too busy chatting with his colleague to serve anyone promptly. A few other guests complained. The night manager was gracious and pleasant clearly properly trained to work in hospitality and comped us breakfast and a few other things so all ok in the end We paid up the night before we left. On leaving 3 grown men at reception watched idly whilst we made 3 trips to our car - pretty poor. And if you are going to speak critically about your customers on earshot make sure they don't speak french. Not what I would expect from a Marriott

Lieu fantastique, belle piscine et petit déjeuner à la hauteur. La chambre en revanche peut quelque peu décevoir. Surtout, le service est à revoir pour un établissement de cette catégorie. Malgré nos appels à la réception, pour un souci avec le rideau occultant, et plusieurs promesses de nous envoyer quelqu'un, personne n'est jamais venu et nous avons dû dormir en sachant que nous serions réveillés dès le lever du soleil. Pire encore, une alerte incendie s'est déclenchée à 1h du matin (à cause d'un résident qui s'est mis à fumer dans sa chambre, l'hôtel n'y est pour rien). This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe! When they say five stars, they mean it!!! As soon as we walked into the hotel, we were warmly greeted. The staff is exemplary and immediately makes you feel like a valued guest! The gentleman checking us walked us to our room, turned on the lights, and showed us some of the amenities on our way to our room. The room is so comfortable and beautiful! Even the room coffee and filtered water are wonderful details that exceed any other hotel! The architecture is a masterpiece as they retro fit this luxury hotel into an existing building. The art in the hallways, the centered lounge, and spa are so classy and chic! I’m thankful that I got to rest here after three tiring days of exploring Christmas Markets in Belgium and Germany. This hotel sets the gold standard!

A beautiful hotel within a few minutes walk of the main square and old city of Lille. The hotel is sited in a former hermitage and lots of original features have been retained. It’s like staying in modern hotel with a museum attached and is fascinating to walk round. The staff could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful. The pool and spa were very welcome after a wintry day in the city. The only slight issue we had was in the restaurant where our order was somehow lost and we were unable to have our original choice of food. However, the staff were apologetic and we left satisfied.

Stunning hotel, a very short walk to the old town. Our room was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Only one criticism - the lighting in the bathroom was seriously inadequate. We will definitely return!

A really unique characterful property. Good faciliites and the pool and steam room were nice. The midday checkout meant we got opportunity to use them. The breakfast was quite poor given the room rate. We weren't offered fresh coffee, until the nespresso stopped working and the cooked breakfast was very poor quality.

Rooms were very comfortable and a good size. Staff very welcoming and good customer service. We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We had interconnecting rooms which was perfect for our family. However one of the showers was weak and not up to standard. The pool and spa was very clean. For the size and standard of hotel, perhaps more facilities like more showers and amenities would have been even better

The hotel main areas are impressive, although the bar is a little lifeless. However, our room was awful and outdated. When booking I didn’t realise there was an old part and a ‘new’ part. The room didn’t look like the pictures at all. We looked out onto an office block and it was just a bit depressing overall. The area that the hotel is in isn’t great either. I’m sure if you actually get one of the rooms in the pictures you’ll have a great time but I wouldn’t take the chance again.
