Tru By Hilton Charlotte Tyvola I-77

Staff is outstanding, bedding is very comfortable, very clean rooms, welcomed my dog. Breakfast was good, indoor pool. Highly recommend. I will definitely stay with Tru again!

Pool is nice, small and a little chilly. House keeping only every other day.

As soon as you walk in it just smells so clean It just looks so clean. Everything looks so bright and colorful and new the room was super clean very roomy. The hotel was very easy to find. The gym is 24 hours which is awesome The pool is super clean and nice.

One day out of 4, we had hot water. We talked to the front desk about the problem each day. The first day we were surprised by cold water in the morning. We were promised that it was fixed once, still not hot in the morning. The next day it was fixed, and then on our last day, cold water in the morning again. Check the hot water before you stay. Also, they couldn't print out the discounted bill from the front desk. That's the first time I ever heard that. All other hotels can print out bills, why not this hotel. Business travelers beware.

The staff was really nice and helpful. I stayed with my 2 kids for 5 days and we ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and went swimming at the hotel pool every evening. I ended up needing things like deodorant, cough drops, and laundry detergent. I literally found all those things in the lobby shop of the hotel. I did multiple loads of laundry and was psyched to see the washer and dryer were free. No quarters! We filled our water bottles every day at the filtered water fountain. We played a little on the pool table. The kids even worked out for an hour in the gym. And It's not even 15 minutes to Carowinds. Our trip could've been so much more stressful for me if the hotel weren't as great as it was!!

Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was okay the hot options were slim. Like having unlimited coffee and tea. The doors kept sticking. Could do without the multiple silt text about my stay while I’m trying to enjoy my time off. Seems a bit much. Like not having to pay to park. The staff were pleasant and helpful with food options. It’s a bit much having to run to the lobby every time we need to use a microwave.

This was morning I had no hot water to take a shower. Other than that, everything was great.

Overall I had an average stay. The shower water water very Luke warm which made showering uncomfortable due to it being cold outside. Room was very clean though. Hotel was very well kept. Still would stay again.

Overall stay and the breakfast was very good. Only issue was the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night for no apparent reason

The property is fine. The issue is that for those that want to charge their EV the hotel only has chargers for Teslas. Considering that there are so many non Tesla EVs out there it’s a real let down that you can’t charge your car during a stay.

The room was as advertised . Clean and comfortable.

It was convenient that it was close to the airport, Costco, and the Billy Graham Library. The hotel was clean and in good condition. The king room was a little small but was fine for our one night stay.

Everything was clean and relatively new. Girl at check-in was friendly, welcoming and professional.

This was the cleanest and most pleasant hotel I have stayed at in a very long time! They allowed early check in without question. And the ambiance is so inviting, bright and clean! I will definitely recommend to others!

Parking was super nice and accessible! Very clean and cozy room and very kind staff! We loved our stay and would love to stay again on our next trip! :)

We stayed here a few nights while visiting Charlotte. Convenient location and reasonable price. Hotel appeared relatively new, clean, and beds were very comfortable. Only issues were you can hear people above you if you stay on a lower floor and the AC unit is loud when cutting on and off, even with fan on go mode.

Clean and Modern. Bright rooms, thoughtfully designed for the traveler’s convenience. Comfy beds, super clean and modern bathroom and shower. Great streaming TV. The lobby is so cool with happy colors, lots of seating choices for breakfast, phone chargers, computer spaces, and a pool table. Lobby TVs and friendly, accommodating staff. We will stay here again. We loved it.

The hotel was clean and convenient to highways. However, the A/C unit in the room was extremely loud. There was no coffee maker in the room (although coffee was available in the lobby).

Rooms are extremely small

The room was very small. The one chair was uncomfortable.

I was overcharged. First I was charged twice for my stay, then I received another charge for something completely unknown. Staff was always unable to help, my bank did most of the resolving. Never staying at this establishment again.

Got to the hotel after midnight after being delayed at the airport because of the crowdstrike nightmare. Hotel clerk gave me a key to a room that was occupied. Scared some poor lady half to death because of this failure. Unbelievable. How does that happen???

Whenever we travel, we look for Tru hotels to stay in because we love them! This was the first visit where I've ever had an issue, and it was really disappointing. I called the front desk to let them know that my TV was not working, and asked for new batteries for the remote control. They would not bring this to my room; I had to go down to the front desk. One of the girls at the desk gave me a replacement remote. Once back in my room, that did not work either. I opened the back of the remote to see the batteries were corroded. I returned to the desk, asked for someone to come up and look at the TV, and was told that for safety reasons they could not come up. I was offered a new room (it was now 8:30pm and I had been there since 5pm, unpacked and steaming my clothes for an early job interview the next morning), and when I said that I did not want to change rooms, one of the girls at the desk replied, "Then you must not need a TV that badly." I was appalled. This is not the Tru customer service I am accustomed to and was very taken aback. The other girl did come to my room with me, where she had to lift the TV off of the wall to unplug and reset it. She was apologetic, but it was not her who was rude and inappropriate with a simple guest request. I hope to never have another customer service experience like this again, because it does not align with what I typically believe to be excellent customer service at Hilton properties.

Long travel, booking to just sleep for the night, do not book here. I called location before booking and informed them I would be checking in at 2am maybe later, they told me it was fine but check out was at noon. Upon arrival they told me my reservation was canceled, I received no notification, they did nothing to help me.

Front desk associate was sleeping in the lobby when I checked out and when I checked in the front desk associate was in the back and came out with an attitude then just walked away after he gave me the room key to go right back in the back. Was not the best experience due in part to the staff being unprofessional and confused at times

I wish i would have asked for the name of the lady that checked us in, she was AMAZING. The front desk staff was excellent throughout our stay. My kids made friends and had a blast in the pool. My husband, parents, and i loved playing pool in the lobby! Room was exactly what we expected (maybe a little more.modern which was nice). I have had horriible experiences with other Hilton properties but this stay has me wanting to continue staying with them.

This is a fairly new and modern place that is very clean. However after settling into our room, when our daughter went to take a bath, the water was barely warm, even when the handle was turned to max hot. After trying different positions on the handle and not getting hot water, we requested a new room. The front desk attendants were both helpful and happily put us in another room…..however after moving our things, we discovered that the tv in the new room did not work, and the hot water in the shower was only marginally warmer. So we requested a third room, where we finally got a nice HOT shower and a working TV. The next morning we woke up and discovered the window of our truck had been smashed (along with the windows in two other vehicles). Despite the cleanliness of the hotel itself and the mostly friendly staff, we will never stay at this hotel again as we don’t feel it’s a very safe area. I will say that after the multiple breakins, some mobile security cameras and lights were brought in to the parking area the second day (and last night) of our stay.

Very close to the airport and to uptown. Everything was less than 15 minutes away.

I do not have any complaints about the hotel itself. However, my truck was broken into in the parking lot of the hotel. Apparently, that is not uncommon in the area so I must highly recommend others not to stay here unless additional security measures are taken.

After a delayed flight and missed connection, this was a great place to rest for the night. Super clean with comfortable beds and the hot breakfast in the morning was delicious. Highly recommend.

First Tru experience. Love the energy of the lobby, in contrast to the quiet On the room Floors. Love that guest laundry is free. Nice breakfast too

The place was clean and check-in was a breeze. However, the beds were very firm. Breakfast did not last as long as expected, especially for a weekend. In my experience, breakfast generally runs until 9:30 or 10:00 am on the weekends.

Good location, and nice and clean. Had an easter hunt for the kids. The only negative was the choices for breakfast and they shut breakfast at 9am which was bit early, and will not let you obtain food even if you are there before 9am.

This was a nice hotel to stay in! I was there for 2 nights and 3 days as a solo female for a concert and it's super safe! Staff is friendly and it's nice and quiet at night. The breakfast is especially nice too!

The breakfast was good, but the serving hours from 6-9 AM is too early IMO, especially on weekends. The rest of the day was absolutely perfect. From the fun environment of the lobby, decorated for the holidays to the cleanliness throughout the hotel. Will definitely return.
