$14 charge for suburban parking that was not obvious at booking. Rooms and hotel were very worn. Worst gym I have ever seen with treadmills that made loud gear grinding sounds. One treadmill had a footlong tear in the tread. Staff was nice was the only plus.

Nice hotel and close to everything but was not aware of the pool being down during our whole stay and was not compensated for it one bit. We purchased drinks and food at the bar and did not get a discount. The front desk manager was rude and no help at all when we asked about going to another property’s pool when another worker told us we can we just need a pass and the manager said that is not a thing. Overall i will not stay with Sonesta again i travel often and this was not a good experience at all. I’ll still to my Hilton property’s.

Although Expedia says 3 pools, there is only one large (half of it being indoor and half outdoor) and it was closed so there was no pool whatsoever to swim in.

Firstly, with so many hotel options in Charlotte I would definitely NOT choose this hotel. Disappointing experience that did not match hotel description. We arrived for a 3 night mini vacation and had looked forward to the indoor/outdoor pool and exercise room. After we checked in, we discovered that the pool was closed (since 2 weeks prior and until July 4th earliest). Front desk should be telling everyone this info at check-in. No compensation or apology was offered. Determined to make the most of it regardless we went to use the weight room at 7:30pm and found it LOCKED. Front desk staff informed us that yes, it's locked after the pool bar employee leaves for his shift. The hotel advertises that the gym is open 24 hours but at minimum should be open until 10pm. Disappointing. Children running in the halls during our first night. Carpet had not been vacuumed (found a few coins on the floor upon arrival to room). Was informed AFTER taking a Lyft ride from the airport that the hotel has an airport shuttle. The bathroom does not have a real door just a sliding door with dirty, frosted glass which does not offer privacy. No bathroom fan. We stayed for 3 nights and were not offered fresh towels, nor was there any housekeeping at all. Keurig in room had to be moved from cabinet to connect to outlet and came with 2 disposable cups (for 3 nights?) Just choose another place to stay. PROS: comfortable beds, quiet AC unit, dark room, nice outdoor sitting area.

This hotel has several EV car chargers, which was very convenient for me. Overall, nice experience. On the negative, they only had one desk person and there were long lines to check in throughout the 24 hours I was there. I also did not like that they charge you $15/night for parking in an open, unsecured lot in a suburban area.

The room overall cleanliness was a 2-3. The room was very dusty and the bathroom had unknown particles on the wall and tub that were not scrubbed. I performed myself. The carpet was damp for some reason as well. Otherwise ok. The breakfast was not free but we had quality, fresh food. The waiters were very professional and welcoming.

The room was atrocious, completely uncleaned. The floors not vacuumed, there was used floss and trash bits all over the floor. The bathroom I cleaned prior to using and their was hair all in the shower still. Floors dirty. Sink and toilet. My son and I flew into Charlotte because I was my uncle's medical power of attorney and he was hospitalized in the ICU. I rushed out on a red eye overnight, so imagine my frustration when I finally arrive to a room I paid way too much for that wasn't cleaned and we couldn't change without losing way too much money, while also having to emotionally manage to take my uncle off of life support. Not to mention almost everywhere in the hotel smelled like p0t smoke, the coffee shop was never open, staff were rude and dismissive. In the 3 days we were there housekeeping never came by our room to clean or anything. Never ever again will I stay at a Sonesta

We were disappointed with our stay at the hotel. A few years ago, we hosted an F3 Women's Empowerment event there, and the property was in much better condition then. Upon our arrival, we were assigned room #1218. Once we opened the door, the musty smell and stuffiness made me nauseous. I informed the hotel desk clerk that we could not stay in that room due to the foul odor. We were then assigned to room #1216, which had a more tolerable smell, but it was clear that the hotel needed renovations. The arm of the sitting chair was deteriorating as if an animal had chewed on it, and the furniture was outdated. The ice machine on our floor was also broken, forcing us to go to the 11th floor to get ice. My daughter, who was assigned a room on the 5th floor, also experienced significant issues and had to be moved to another room. To make matters worse, the next morning, on May 3rd, we discovered her car had been broken into while parked on the property. The floors of our room had not been vacuumed well, adding to our disappointment with the stay. We have contacted management to discuss compensation for our unsatisfactory accommodations, particularly concerning my daughter's rooms. She was initially assigned to room #502 but had to be moved to room #910 due to various issues. My daughter even recorded a video of her room to document the uncleanliness, which needs to be addressed.

We booked two rooms. The hotel overall looks clean and nice; however one of our rooms had bugs crawling in the bed. To date the hotel has not refunded the $176 paid for a room that was infested with bugs- which is unacceptable. Especially for the price paid for the room. Neither room phone worked. One of the rooms the phone was missing the handset cord and the cord to plug it in the wall. Breakfast is $23 per person.

I had a horrible experience when staying at Sonesta Charlotte Executive Park last night (check-in: Wednesday, May 15, 2024; check-out: Thursday, May 16, 2024). The room had a strong musty smell – to the point that the rug was damp. It was disgusting. I’m sure it was not safe to breath the air in the room, but I checked in late and there were no other available rooms. The room was 519. I cannot image why the room was so damp – and why the staff thought it was a good idea to be used. I’m incredibly disappointed – and will not stay at a Sonesta in the future. There are just too many options available.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The room was solid. Only caveats I encountered was that there are no microwaves in the room. They do have microwaves on your floor and in the lobby. The WI-FI was also down the rest of my stay. The hotel itself has poor cell reception. Had to step outside a few times. Still had a decent stay in the end.

Room was underwhelming for the price. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and had low quality linens and a lack of comforter. Most of the furniture was dinged on the corners and beat up. One of the side table lamps did not work and the hair dryer smelled horrible when turned on.

Not what I expected the hotel is gorgeous. I like the bar and the pool has a nice indoor area. However, the service was really bad. Every time that I will call the front desk I would kind of feel a little bit of attitude. There’s no reception at all for my cell phone in there and the Wi-Fi. It’s really bad Even the one that you paid for. It’s not as good as I thought it was gonna be it was in the best experience.

Property clearly has been upgraded recently, but some dings and dents show through: room furniture showing wear, bath tub slow draining, hair on a washcloth. Not something I'd complain about because none of that really bothered me. Beds, especially pillows were SUPER comfortable. Good water pressure in shower and supply of hot water. Didn't use amenities like pool or fitness center but looked well maintained. Liked the fact the main lobby door and elevators require room card access. Five minute drive to Lynx lightrail system made it convenient to get uptown. Overall enjoyed my stay.

Pool out of service and that is not mentioned here nor the website. I would have NEVER booked had I known that. Not enough towels in the room. Like someone forgot to come back and replace them or just didn’t care. The towels that were in the room were rough mat towels for the floor not the fluffy body towels. The room was never at a comfortable temperature despite using the remote designed for it. Also booked a balcony room which was HORRIBLE! you cant sit on the balcony and enjoy the view because of this big concrete wall. You have to stand to even look over the wall. Defeats the purpose of a balcony if u cant sit out and enjoy the view.. so glad I listened to my instincts and booked 1 of 3 nights just to test it out.. so not worth it.

Terrible Experience – Would Never Recommend From the very first day, I requested daily room service for the entire duration of my stay, and the staff confirmed it would be noted. However, no service was provided. I called to remind them the same day, and they assured me again that it was arranged — but nothing happened. The next day, I contacted a staff manager who told me they "didn't have time" to provide room service. I found this unacceptable, so I escalated the issue to the main manager, who repeated the same thing — no time, no service. Both managers were incredibly rude and unprofessional in their responses. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Despite my repeated requests, room service was never done — not even once. Eventually, we decided to leave and change hotels. I will be reporting these incidents as a violation of customer rights. This hotel has serious issues with management and basic guest service. Avoid at all costs.

We arrived to be told no rooms available. Asked to speak to a manager and 20 minutes later!!!!!! They Eventually they “found” a room but without a balcony as was requested in my reservation. When we got to the room, AC didn’t work. Temp in the room was 89 and 92 outside. Attempted to call the front office but the phone was broken!!!! Walked back to the desk and complained. They then “found” another room, despite the fact that NONE were originally available and they were blaming Hotels. Com for causing their over booking. Finally got to our room 1.5 hours later at 0030. Just a miserable experience

Great staff! Had a little medical emergency and needed to stay a little longer after a late check out time and they accommodated. I also heard the lady downstairs at the desk on the phone dealing with a very rude customer and she dealt with it so eloquently and professional. It made me want to apt for his behavior. Great customer service

I drove 14 hours from Canada. Checked in at around 12 AM. I got woke up around 7 AM from the staff hanging TVs in the room right next-door to me.. not only was the drilling obnoxious but I can hear them laughing and chuckling having the best time of their lives well I can’t even sleep… peed $150 for a hotel that I had to check out at 11 AM… and the only thing the front desk manager would do was knock off the fee for parking… are you serious? I will never stay at this place again. I came down here for work. We planned on staying at this hotel for a month but not anymore…

I wasn’t aware of the $12.00 parking fee every night you stayed. When I checked in they gave me a room that someone else was in already. I walked into the room with a man laying on the bed. This honestly made me felt so unsafe. But due to it being almost 3 in the morning I didn’t leave. When I returned back downstairs to let them know she wasn’t apologetic and made it seem like it was a computer issue. I will probably never stay here again! If you are doing a solo trip please do not stay here!

This is a decent three star property. The rooms are clean, reasonably quiet, although the hotel is somewhat dated and needs some TLC . Staff at the front desk are fairly accommodating. There was a good restaurant that served breakfast downstairs in the lobby. The main problem with this hotel is its location. If you’re just going to the airport it’s well situated; for anything else no, you certainly cannot walk at least safely to south Boulevard, which is where all the restaurants and other facilities are located so the area is not walkable. You must have your own car or take taxi or Uber.

The room was nice and I had a balcony. I didn't like the fact that you had to pay for parking but I guess quit a few places are charging for parking now. Close to a Costco, McDonalds and a few other places. Not too far from Uptown and the airport

Overall, this hotel is very nice. The staff was great and the beds were very comfortable. The one area for improvement would be the bathrooms. They are showing age and could use a renovation. Also, the area around the property appears borderline safe - odd, as there is a Ferrari dealership a couple doors down. However, it wasn't enough of a reason to keep us from coming back. We would stay here again.

The highway is located adjacent to the hotel and it was really noisy. During my stay I heard what appeared to be gunshots. It was so loud that the dog in the room beside me started barking. Very alarming.

I was surprised that for the money I spent, there were no free breakfast options available and there really wasn't any food options other than the over-priced restaurant located in the hotel. Also, I paid for my room in full prior to my arrival, but was forced to pay an additional $50/day for "incidentals" with no prior disclosure, while checking in. The staff was apathetic at best.

No breakfast included. Person serving breakfast was extremely rude and condescending. Breakfast was a dried out egg croissant that we threw away. Elevators were dirty with food and coffee on the floor. So was the hallway. No lock on bathroom door. Extremely poor lighting.

Property stated they had starbucks daily but it was closed on. sunday. The day we were leaving the water was shut off . We couldn’t even shower before we left . I wish we had been notified by the property about upcoming water maintenance in advance.

The hotel was nice, the staff was exceptional! We took advantage of the hotel restaurant for breakfast and it was amazing! Overall, it was a pleasant stay with just a couple of small issues. However, we were very disappointed that the pool wasn’t available. Also, the carpet had a horrible smell. Those were the only negatives in our stay but in hindsight we should have mentioned the smell. It wasn’t unbearable so we just dealt with it.

It was the mlst amazing hotel my family and i have ever stayed. So happy with the staff and all of the hotel's amenities. The food options were great as well. The only thing i would say that i didn't enjoy too mich the was the weekend breakfast buffet comlared to the week days food. Yes they offered many options with the buffet but it was cold. We enjoyed the week day's breakfast more due to it freshly made and it brought out to you HOT. Other than that, everythijg was exceptional!

Very nice atmosphere. Local to all your needs. Everything you could want within 10 minutes. I would stay here always when I come to NC. The staff was super courteous and helpful. Love it!
