The hotel is a bit dated but fine but for one glaring thing. The pool was not heated. Resort-like facility with a gorgeous pool that humans could only look at. One desk clerk said that of course the pool was heated and another said that the heater was broken. IT WAS TOO COLD TO SPEND MORE THAN A MINUTE IN.

Likes. Comfortable and convenient location. Lots of recreational options. Dislike. No hot tub side of pool. If you know weather is not going to be 110 degrees out, please can you heat the pool. It was freezing.

My room was clean and smelled good upon entering. The outlet that the coffee pot was set up at did not work, also both headboard reading lights did not work. The parking lot was broken asphalt, dirt and rocks, nasty to walk in flip flops in. The front of the outside building looked unkept. Inside -4 stars, outside 1/2 star.

I've stayed at this resort several times. I have always had the best service, clean rooms, and a lovely time in the pool. It is affordable and in a nice place. I highly recommend it for business travel or for family trips. I'm going back for spring training!

Had a really nice stay and staff was great. Hotel is showing its age, but was adequate and clean for our purposes. Really enjoyed the pool and they had canoes and pedal boats to use on the lake, just didn't have a chance to because the recent storm raised the water level so much temporarily. Had breakfast at the restaurant and it was really good, with the view being the best part.

This is a beautiful property, great location, nice pool area.(although pool has areas in need of cleaning and/or repair). That's where it ends. The room, other than bedding and towels, was filthy. Floors, walls, windows, chair even....have not been cleaned in goodness knows how long. Walls had MANY stains. Front desk people greeted me twice in entire time I was there. Maybe that's not an expectation...fair enough....but I'm used to hotels in this price range having excellent and friendly service, greeting you when you pass by/enter leave/so on. Houskeeping and engineering on the other hand were very friendly. Service at the pool...unsure if it exists or not. Out of 5 days at the pool I was asked twice if I wanted to order anything. One time was fine. The other time I was there for a couple of hours and had to hunt down the server to get my bill before I left as Id not seen her again. At that point she asked repeatedly if I was sure I didnt want to order anything else including lunch. Um...I would have!? Not clear on extra amenities offered like kayaks or bikes. Information was not offered and I did not ask. Did use gym. Again, quite dirty. All in all stay was average. Hotel is definitely overpriced for what it offers. Theyre getting by based on their location which if thats whats important...fair enough. Just be careful in the parking lot as it is very dark. Did not feel safe unless parked directly underneath one of the few lights.

Overall stay was super enjoyable and peaceful! But the room that we stayed in was NOT clean. We found trash under the bed and behind the T.V, unmopped bathroom floors, and dirty underwear from a previous guest shoved in the closet. Which was unsettling, but after informing the manager(who was very very nice), she took care of our resort fees and gave us $30 towards our next morning’s breakfast. So that helped end the trip on a good note. The staff was friendly and the property itself was beautiful! Definitely would stay there again.

Room was dirty when we arrived told the front desk they didn't offer to switch to a different room even after we showed the photos, we took her comment was yuck! Staff was rude it was like we were an inconvenience while there. Coffee machine broken and no draft beer at bar cooler broken. Will not stay here again this was our second stay and the first time was not much better thought I would give a second chance. Too many other options to stay elsewhere close. Expedia has this hotel a 3 star its truly 1.5 at best. disappointing stay.

Everything about this place was disgusting. The water to the shower would not go down and when it did it took the entire day sometimes it didn't even go down that we ended up changing our room. It just feel weird being there! I am actually very upset with choosing this place. Just ew.

Be careful with this place. If you want a nostalgic experience from the late 70s go here. The beds have springs you can feel. I could hear the guy next door on his phone on speaker. I could hear the whole conversation clearly. Not because I have great hearing but because the walls were so paper thin. I think it’s an okay place but I wouldn’t call it a resort or luxury. It’s an okay place. If you want to hear your neighbor taking a shower listening to lady Gaga the. This is the place for it.

Nice hotel but we were stuck with a room facing the Scottsdale Rd which was very noisy. We tried each day to switch rooms but were told that hotel was booked during spring training. If they wanted, the staff could have accommodated our request. They did not. If you want to stay at this hotel, let staff know that you do not want room along Scottsdale Rd before you book the room.

We checked in and went to our room, only to to find it was a King size bed when wanted a double, and the bed was unmade. 🙄 The reservation desk gave us a new room with double beds but one of the beds were sagging in the middle which made it an uncomfortable sleep. 💤 Over it was just okay.

This was a very good choice for staying in Scottsdale. The price was good even after taking into account a $35 resort fee, which is something a lot of places do these days. There is an excellent view of a small lake and golf course. Room was comfortable with the minor exception of a platform under the bed that I kept stubbing my toe on. if that’s the worst thing I can say then I guess I have no complaints.LOL

Friendly staff and the restaurant on the property was excellent. Unfortunately there were many negatives. Headed up to our room and the entire 3rd floor smelled of cigarette smoke. Notified the front desk and they were able to resolve it. The front desk gave a guest our room number to a stranger who proceeded to knock on our door repeatedly until i got out of bed to answer it. The lady did apologize but i was woken up out of a deep sleep so damage was already done. This room must of been above the janitorial room because it sounded like the dryer was squeaking all night and the clunking and banging was endless. Bathroom door to the toilet wouldnt close all the way. Came home around 9pm on Saturday night and there was zero parking due to the hotel having events. Concession store was slim pickens with most of everything out of stock. Had a charge on our account from the restaurant that wasn't ours. It was removed but good thing we caught it. I leave this review in hopes they can improve on these issues because this hotel is convenient, well priced and has great views.

The location on the hotel was very convenient, being that it was on Scottsdale Road. Just a straight drive the old Town Scottsdale and the entertainment district. Our room was very quiet and had a wonderful view of the grounds (swimming and lake). It had all the necessities needed for a pleasant stay and it was very clean. The biggest asset was the front desk staff, Wedley in particular. He was so welcoming, friendly and helpful that by the time we left it felt like we had made a new friend. Wedley not only made a very good first impression upon first entering the hotel but continued to be wonderful throughout our stay. He was just the type of person you want to greet you. We would return if we were in the area again.

kate is a rockstar! she took such good care of our needs during our stay. the room was clean and well appointed, the grounds are lovely and the pool had a fun party with dj and excellent cabana service by ryann. highly recommend for a staycation, also a great location for visitors with proximity to old town. great job mccormick and team!

The bartender, Terry, is the best!! He added a level of friendliness and conversation that made our experience truly amazing! We will be back! We also had a wonderful experience checking in. The woman at the front desk was kind and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here.

I requested a late check out at the front desk upon checking in. This was accommodated. But house keeping repeatedly came into my room while I was working prior to my checkout time and was disruptive (not house keeping’s fault this obviously was just not communicated by front desk and it was very chaotic)

Check in time is 4 pm if you want to check in ANY time before you have to pay $35. Check out time is 12 pm. We went to breakfast at 8:30, came back in an hour and they had come into the room on their own and turned it for the next guest. Hotel is Old and Dated not anything like it used to be. Will NEVER stay here again.

Nice location on a lake. Ribs in restaurant good. Room on ground floor close acess to pool area meant it was convenient but if you want better views ask for higher floor. Bed corners sharp took skin off my leg quite badly.

This is an older property that has been renovated and is an excellent value for the price. My room had a nice balcony that overlooked a small lake. Location is close to Old Town Scottsdale, so very convenient to shopping and dining. Staff is friendly and helpful plus the room was very clean, comfortable and big. Will definitely book again.

Slider out to the patio was barely able to lock. The frame was pulling away from the wall. It did have a security bar but still a little shabby.Otherwise room was good, and we will probably stay there again because the location and the water view. My main complaint though was the terrible food in their restaurant. Incredibly overpriced and poor tasting. I don’t mind paying a higher price for my meal if it’s quality but it was woefully sub par. If we do stay there again most definitely will not waste my money at that restaurant.

The pool bar wasn't open. The music wasn't loud enough to hear. The burger I ordered took 25 minutes to be delivered which was the wrong burger. It was not the Southwest burger that I ordered, it cdid not have the avocado tortilla strips proper cheese nor aioli sauce. The bartender took my order back to the kitchen twice keeping the same burger which was just warm when returned to me.

I was so impressed with this hotel! The grounds were beautiful, the pool was so refreshing. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the grill… delicious. The staff was attentive. They overheard my husband and I talking about our anniversary, and sent us a bottle of wine. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and lounging in the hammocks. Also, very clean and super comfy beds and pillows. We will definitely visit again.

Here’s a polished version of your review that maintains your experience and tone clearly and respectfully: --- Everything was fine at check-in and the room itself was okay, but the experience during our last night was very upsetting. We had planned to have a quiet dinner at the hotel restaurant, especially since we were traveling with my grandson. The posted hours said the restaurant closes at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, but when we arrived at 7 p.m., we were told it was already closed. The man in charge offered no explanation or apology—just a flat "it's closed," which left us scrambling for other options at the last minute. To make matters worse, this same employee had earlier tossed my credit card back at me after I purchased a couple of drinks at the bar. His attitude throughout was unprofessional and frankly rude. At checkout, the front desk attendant didn’t ask how our stay was or whether we needed anything else—basic hospitality that was completely lacking. The overall level of customer service at this hotel is below expectations. The only two staff members who made a positive impression were Anita at check-in and Irma at breakfast—both of whom were professional and helpful. Unfortunately, their efforts were overshadowed by the overall disappointing experience. Very disappointed.

We hung out at the pool for 1.5 days. The grandkids came over to enjoy the pool with us. Friendly staff and a shout out to Mary. She was the staff member servicing the pool. We rented a cabana for one of the days. Best thing we did. Will stay again when visiting the grandkids.
