Staff was not overly friendly, old old carpet in the room and small room. It did have a queen bed and we had a balcony but it's a definite dtep up and down to get in. No dresser to put stuff away. They do give a free drink at the bar but its limited to 4 choices and bar tender is not please with serving them. Parking is expensive and very few spots so u might need to park in staff or handicapp or just block others in. And it is not walking distance to anything or its a min of a 2 hr walk . There are worse places to stay but there are allot of better places to stay. Also this is not the place to stay if you don't speak any or little French.

I don’t like the bed it’s hard and hurts the back this is a Marriott so why is it not comfortable like a Marriott? Bar is good, had a blast doing shots w bartenders at closing! Also no closet, hardly any space to put anything!

Prima hotel om te verblijven wanneer je Parijs wilt bezoeken. Het hotel zit in een rustiger gedeelte van de stad, maar je kan prima met het openbaar vervoer (step, fiets,metro en bus) de stad door. Onder het hotel zit een parkeergarage waar je eventueel de auto kwijt kan. Wel even contact opnemen met het hotel om te vragen of er plek is.

Fabulous location, fun decor, friendly staff! The room was a bit like an IKEA dorm room, but cozy and quiet. Super location near 2 Metro lines and buses. Also a great Sunday market right down the street!

I don’t usually write reviews but I was compelled by the fact I had such a great stay at the Moxie. Rooms are great, clean and as roomy as can be for Paris. Lobby is so inviting. Love the fact that reception is the lobby bar, great seating area, friendly staff, foosball, free coffee and breakfast. And finally in a great location walkable to cafes and restaurants or bike rideable to famous attractions. Oh, and very reasonably priced. Will miss you Paris & the Moxie. Darcy.

Overall, I would stay here again as the location is great and the price is reasonable for what you get. The room wasn’t very quiet but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit worn down - only one tap worked - but it was clean. Staff were kind and breakfast had fresh and healthy options.

Staff themselves lovely in attitude but I had to ask 3 times for shower gel as the room bottle was empty. Some did eventually arrive but only after I’d showered using shampoo - not exactly the end of the world but not what I’d expect from a good hotel . The fact you only get one bottle of water per stay wasn’t good either. The lack of decaf coffee was also annoying. All little things but add up to a sub-par experience.

This is basically a hostel. I stayed here with a group and was given a dramatically lesser experience for booking through a third party website. The staff member I dealt with the most left me feeling like I was on a hidden camera show. My room had black mold in the shower and I discovered the under layers of my bedding had urine stains the morning I was checking out. My room specifically was incredibly loud and in terrible condition.

The Staff is excellent, friendly and very helpful. For breakfast there’s a wide choice of both sweet and salted food as well as a large variety of beverage. The rooms are just acceptable. What I liked the least is that 1) the bathroom is small and 2) there’s no real wardrobe to store your clothes. Just a tube with 6 holders. The area around offers a very good choice of restaurants, cafés and pubs. Moreover the metro stop (Breguet-Sabin) is literally at 100 m from the hotel door, which give this strutture a certain plus.

They checked me into the worst location, next to the kitchen and garden where smoking was prohibited but everyone smoked and it filled my room. It was very loud and inconvenient. Night clerk was completely out of it.

The staff were great n the hotel was conveniently located to the metro. The room was comfortable n just what I needed, the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the inter-room doors were not locked (I asked for it to be but it never was) n the walls were paper thin, I could hear everything from next door.

En dépit d’une équipe très sympathique (mention spéciale ou réceptionniste de soir qui devant une simple question, s’est transformé en guide touristique) je n’y remettrai pas les pieds ! Raison principale : zéro pression sous la douche, donc il faut 30 à 40 minutes pour se doucher, alors que je suis habitué à la prendre en cinq minutes, pas sûr que l’hôtel fasse des économies d’eau avec ses réducteurs de pression… en attendant, c’est 30 minutes de perdues dans votre journée. Deuxième raison : pour un séjour de travail, il n’y a même pas un semblant de bureau pour pouvoir poser l’ordinateur et taper un rapport, vous êtes obligés de le faire plié en quatre sur votre lit… Avec une chambre à 405 € la nuit, difficile également de ne même pas trouver le meuble destiné à poser une valise. Bref, certes c’est Paris, mais cet hôtel ne vaut pas plus qu’un ibis budget.

Malgre avoir reserve 2 mois a l’avance , j’ai eu une chambre minuscule ou etait impossible d’ouvrir ma valise ( taille moyenne); linlit empechait d’ouvrir la porte d’entree a la chambre completement. Chambre donne sur patio inteîrieur ou il se déroulait des evenement et partis bruyants

Very disappointing: for nearly $300 a night (and a Marriott name) you get a minuscule room with no closet, drawer or place to hang.the shower is impossible to set, going from boiling hot to cold (no pressure compensation!) and has to be held; the pillows are huge and hard, the sheets too short for the bed. It is clean.

We booked Moxy Paris Bastille based on a friend’s recommendation and the competitive price and good reviews we saw on Expedia— and we are so glad we did! It was just what we were looking for: a clean, comfortable, stylish, and safe hotel in a nice area of Paris. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. The area was lovely and convenient to major tourist attractions, but just off-the-beaten path enough that it was cleaner and quieter than other neighborhoods we’ve experienced in this city. Lots of charming cafes and restaurants nearby. The famous Bastille is a 5 min walk away. Notre Dame is a pleasant 30 minute walk away; the Louvre is also 30-40 min by foot. Of course, you could also use the convenient and efficient metro or taxi/uber. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful— even accommodating an early check-in without an additional charge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here immensely! Highly recommend!

Hi I have had the worst time with check in. I arrived at the hotel and they said they were sold out after confirming my booking a week ago and said they will rebook a hotel for me. I was made to wait for an hour while they were attending to other guests that came after me. Then they rebooked a hotel which was in a different location which I had no clue about and had done no research about. The hotel had lesser stars than the one I booked in some platforms and It was priced lesser than the hotel that I booked. They room itself is super small and was definitely not some thing I was looking to spend the night. I defenitely would like a refund for the night since I was not given the room I booked at the hotel, was put in a different one, was delayed quite a bit of time post my all day travel and was not treated the right way. This is unacceptable behavior and I would like for hotels.com to help coordinate the returns. I reached the room and was able to check in almost at 12:00 AM which is ridiculous.

Myself and a friend came to Paris for 48 hours from London. I picked this hotel as I had such a positive experience with the brand in NYC just a few weeks ago. The team were super friendly and gave us recommendations for food & drinks spots, breakfast was quick & convenient in the lobby and the amenities of the room was just what we needed. Easy access to what we wanted to see of Paris and the Bastille area was perfect for drinks in the evenings! Will come back to Paris because of such a lovely experience and will look to stay with the brand in any city I now go to, it’s been excellent!

They checked me into the worst location, next to the kitchen and garden where smoking was prohibited but everyone smoked and it filled my room. It was very loud and inconvenient. Night clerk was completely out of it.

Staff themselves lovely in attitude but I had to ask 3 times for shower gel as the room bottle was empty. Some did eventually arrive but only after I’d showered using shampoo - not exactly the end of the world but not what I’d expect from a good hotel . The fact you only get one bottle of water per stay wasn’t good either. The lack of decaf coffee was also annoying. All little things but add up to a sub-par experience.

Nice hotel and very close to a metro station. Only problem was the check out, I had to make a reservation on the full amount for the stay, even that I already paid everything through hotels.com, I didn’t have time to fully understand the reason since I had a plane to catch. The front desk staff and bartenders were excellent, very good costumer service skills. My room was beside the maids storage and we would wake up everyday around 8am with the slamming of the doors. Everyday we have to come out and let them know there were people sleeping and they would stop but the next day it would happen again due to a new maid in service. The hotel is NOT close or walkable to the main attractions. I would spent from 15-20 euros everyday back and forth in taxis. Other than than, the stay was very nice, the staff makes the stay enjoyable!

Fabulous location, fun decor, friendly staff! The room was a bit like an IKEA dorm room, but cozy and quiet. Super location near 2 Metro lines and buses. Also a great Sunday market right down the street!

We booked Moxy Paris Bastille based on a friend’s recommendation and the competitive price and good reviews we saw on Expedia— and we are so glad we did! It was just what we were looking for: a clean, comfortable, stylish, and safe hotel in a nice area of Paris. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. The area was lovely and convenient to major tourist attractions, but just off-the-beaten path enough that it was cleaner and quieter than other neighborhoods we’ve experienced in this city. Lots of charming cafes and restaurants nearby. The famous Bastille is a 5 min walk away. Notre Dame is a pleasant 30 minute walk away; the Louvre is also 30-40 min by foot. Of course, you could also use the convenient and efficient metro or taxi/uber. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful— even accommodating an early check-in without an additional charge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here immensely! Highly recommend!

If you are going to Paris to stay in your room and watch television this not the hotel for you. If you need a reasonably priced clean hotel with good restaurant and bar this is the place. The staff is great and food/service is good. The rooms are small with no real extra space. We had a great experience.

Nous avons réservé une chambre familiale, pour quatre personnes, et avons payé en conséquences. Le canapé-lit servant à ajouter deux couchages est tout simplement HONTEUX. Il est franchement même impensable d’y faire dormir son pire ennemi. La soi-disant directrice nous a gentiment expliqué que nous étions les premiers à faire ce genre de remarque; je n’y crois pas. Elle nous a proposé de nous faire dormir dans deux chambres (les dernières nuits), voyageant avec nos enfants il en était parfaitement hors de question. Aucune compensation, aucun geste n’a été ne serait-ce imaginé et donc accordé par l’équipe de cet établissement vraiment médiocre. Je passe sur le « barman » qui ne sait même pas couper un croque-monsieur en deux (littéralement) et ce après avoir découvert à l’occasion de cette commande gastronomique comment fonctionnait le four… à dix euros pièce attendre une demi-heure pour ça et dans ces conditions est stupéfiant. Bref, passez votre chemin. Ps: Si aucune compensation n’était faite, si aucune prise de contact n’avait lieu, je pense que je porterai officiellement réclamation. Ah oui j’oubliais, j’ai toutes les photos et preuves, y compris les asticots dans les dates au petit déjeuner. A bon entendeur. Sachez que pour raisons professionnelles je suis client d’hôtels depuis une quinzaine d’années entre deux et quatre fois par semaine… Et je n’ai jamais vu ça!! The rooms are very small and we had no place to open our suitcases and could barely walk around the beds. The drinks are very good though! The welcome drink was a nice bonus.

Amazing from check-in to check-out! We immediately want to come back again :) Mathilde at Reception is exceptional in her professionalism and customer service. You can tell the staff enjoy their job, it was obvious in how we were served. Friendly, polite, fun, and attentive. Rooms are compact but very clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff are amazing, too! Location of hotel is great, short walk to 2 different lines of Metro making it very easy to go about Paris. The complimentary and refillable cartons of water is a great idea. They don't understand good service. All of my many mails before arriving to check for a parking lot were ignored. When I arrived there was no place available so I had to park somewhere else. When checking out they booked the amount twice. It was a coincidence that I saw it before leaving Paris. Addressing it they promised to refund it, I am waiting for the money now. Worst part about those incidents was the reactions from the staff though. They didn't really care about their mistakes or bad service. It seemed like that's exactly how they expect daily business to go. No standards. Of course they didn't offer any compensations for the inconveniences. Can't recommend unfortunately.
