Amber greeted us warmly on arrival and was fantastic in helping me resolve an inadvertent double booking. Hotel bar was well stocked and good atmosphere. Small shop at reception for soft drinks, confectionery etc. As someone with food intolerances the only thing I wish they would do would be to put allergy labels on their food at breakfast, but other than that we had a great stay, and would stay again. This was a very short notice booking about 10 Mins before arrival, due to accident and long delays on motorway.

Great hotel, conveniently located for M4/M5. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable food. Cleaning is a bit average, especially in the corners in the room/bathroom, but generally is OK. Be aware: this hotel now charges for parking, it is £5 overnight, which is not prominently displayed when booking. You have to pay on arrival. This smacks of profiteering, as previously you entered your registration number into a tablet at reception, so they knew which cars belonged to hotel guests and could fine/clamp the rest. There is no justification for charging for parking at this site as there is no other reason to go there. It also makes the hotel less good value for money - there are other hotels in the vicinity that are similar price, but better, for the same cost if you include the parking charge.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner. The first room we had , had no heating other than a portable radiator as the heating unit didnt work, we also had very noisy neibours( not the propweries fault) they moved us as soon as we requested. . There was no beer on tap in the bar , however there is a pub that shares the car park.

Most Breakfst items had run out by 9:00 am on the Sunday, even though they knew the Hotel was full. The Dininig area for the breakfast was filthy and dirty, tables empty and not cleaned either. Bar had no draft beer and beer bottles were price was unbelievably expensive.

Great hotel good service good food booked with them as my wife has mobility problems however out of 8 disability parking spots used up but only 3 of those cars displayed a blue badge. Had to push my wife in her wheelchair from the parking area of the restaurant opposite.

Not enough parking especially for disabled people. Paid £15 for the weekend and couldn't park anywhere on Friday evening. Air conditioning unit drips onto bed and has done for some time - room 241 Lounge/dining/bar area too noisy due to design. This is ready for a refurb. Stains on carpet, curtains and bathroom.

The hotel was very clean and the room was perfect and very quiet. All the staff including cleaners said good morning which was nice. Breakfast was great and lots of choices were available. Overall a good night.

The ceiling of our room was dusty, the edges of the seats were dusty, there was a sock from the previous customer on the floor, and the cleaning was done carelessly. I really wouldn't stay here again.

For the quality of room I will not be booking this again, the bathroom felt like a cell and the room was very compact. Due to the location of the hotel if you are wanting to go into the city centre I would recommend you drive as you would be doing a 20 minute walk to the train station or getting a £20 uber. The snack space is great and very handy however once again it it overpriced

Nice hotel but the bed was too hard and it was impossible to heat the room with the ceiling mounted Aircon unit. The bed was also very small and only came with a small duvet meaning my feet hung over the bottom and my shoulders got cold.

Fantastic location for visiting son at Uni. Initially in room on 2nd floor but heating didn’t work and dog constantly barking for over an hour you could hear in room 2 floors below (apparently dogs are allowed on ground floor and this one’s owners must have left it to go out to dinner 😬)! Loads of complaints including from us so we were moved to third floor on end which turned out to be more modern, bigger bed, lovely shower and very quiet being on the end. Breakfast was a good choice considering it was included.

I arrived early as my family had booked two rooms the day before were staying for 3 days I was only staying for one night. I understood I could not check in till 3 but I asked at 10 clock would there be any rooms free at this point I was told there were none but if I came back about 1 ish would let me if one was available then , good service at this point. Went back at 1 clock was rudley told in a there are no rooms and there is a lady waiting in front off me sat on a chair!! I said you know I been here scince 10 clock is there nothing you can do I was told to come back later . I had been in my mum and dads room waiting and seen the cleaner clean several rooms so not sure why said no rooms available or she could off took my number and phoned me when a room ready . I was due to go out at 3 clock so got ready in my parents room . Went down at 235 and got a room . I understand rooms are generally not ready to 3 but this could off been handled in a much better way which did not make me feel I was wrong for asking if there was a room available. I have worked in customer service for 20 years and this is not customer service Disappointed is all I can say!!

We had a single night booked and were happy with the room and the hotel in general. The buffet . Unfortunately we forgot something in the room when we checked out, only realised when we got home. I contacted the hotel and the duty manager Alex was very helpful and suggest and way forward and sorted it out brilliantly.forward breakfast was very nice.

I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The service has significantly improved since my previous stay. I dealt with a young man called TJ on reception/bar and he was very courteous and attentive. Big improvement in service!

Reception staff repeatedly canceled our room key - meaning repeatedly we couldn’t get into the room and had to go back downstairs to reception. Reason given was they had our room as empty, despite us being in there for 4 days and that was where they booked us in. And they didn’t seem to fix mistake as it happened repeatedly Also - heating didn’t work. No attempt to fix. They gave us a heater to plug in that had faulty feet meaning it was unstable and probably hazard. When checking out - stood at reception for a while, no sign of any staff - so had to just leave

Convenient for Bristol centre but far enough out so parking not a problem. Shopping centre a short walk away in case you forgot stuff, and has a few places to eat. Room clean, lovely sheets, good shower. Staff very pleasant and friendly.

10 min walk to MOD AbbeyWood, Filton railway station and a few coffee shops, retail stores chain restaurants and supermarkets. 15-20 min walk to Bristol Parkway railway and the mainline trains. Functional and convenient with helpful staff.

Hotel is in a great location within easy reach of Bristol city centre, and onsite is walking distance pub and many restaurants opposite the dual carriageway, so lots of options for dinner. Also the included breakfast each morning is a definite plus!

Staff are lovely and welcoming. Room was clean when we arrived and breakfast buffet had a good choice and was replenished regularly. Watch out for the option to not have your room serviced some days. We opted for this as it was a short stay and didn't realise that it meant not even the bins were emptied. Staying with a baby, we were glad not to have been staying any longer! I'm sure they would have emptied the bins if we'd asked though, the staff really were ever so helpful.

The breakfast was terrible. Despite arriving mid-session, there were no eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, no yoghurt. The coffee machines had no milk, not coffee at one point. Bread constantly empty. A truly dreadful experience.

Nice rooms, staff friendly. But the real let down was breakfast: Limited amount of choice, ran out of certain things and not replenished quicley, no jams, choatic seating, watered down fruit juice, cereals strewn across the setving atea, poor quality. Also, i messaged via Expedia to ask if the breakfast sausages were gluten free or not, as my husband is coeliac but never got a response back

I have stayed here several times and would have normally given it a 4 star rating. The reason for dropping down to 2 stars for this visit is that the 'hot' food for breakfast was cold for the two days we were here. I do not mean 'cool', I mean completely stone cold; cold bacon and cold scrambled eggs. I did not try anything else. On telling a member of staff they just said that they would inform the manager.

The breakfast was not of the same standard quality as other Holiday Inn stays. I get the impression they have lowered the quality of the produce to cut costs. Be prepared also if you are a solo traveler to be directed toward the high chairs, facing the wall away from the tables when eating your breakfast. I went along with the direction but she looked genuinely surprised when I replied "if I have to". Nothing like paying for a hotel and being treated to a breakfast facing the wall in a high stool like a child. Sent an email to management and got a generic we will look into this and adjust training etc. The room itself was reasonably priced. The lady that greeted me on arrival was friendly, very informative of hotel stay details which was useful. I would stay here again for the same price but I would not expect much from the breakfast.
