The location and breakfast were wonderful. Stay far away from the elevators and housekeeping material storsge room, because there may be noise in the mornings. There are not any flying insect preventer barriers on the wlndows. The staff was very friendly, they helped us change our room due to the noise from the elevators. The cleanlng was extremely well. You can take drinking natursl water and mineral water from the nachine whenever you want. The bad thing is the old guy who is at reservation for some nights, the old guy behaved so rude to us and other customers.

One of my best finds on our Euro road trip. Location is so close to all Budapest attractions and restaurants. The hotel staff were world class and the breakfasts were amazing! Many stairs though so not good for seniors unless you are in great shape. Parking was handy but limited. Budapest is spectacular and has so much to offer to the truly curious.

Die Unterkunft ist grundsätzlich sehr gut geeignet, um Budapest kennenzulernen. Leider gab es bei meinem Aufenthalt ein unangenehmes Problem: Trotz schriftlicher Bestätigung eines Tiefgaragenstellplatzes war bei meiner Ankunft kein Platz verfügbar. Dies war für mich jedoch eine grundlegende Voraussetzung für den Aufenthalt. Daher musste ich mein Fahrzeug kurzfristig in einer Garage, 1,4 km entfernt, abstellen. Beim Check-out wurde mir dennoch die Tiefgarage des Hotels in Rechnung gestellt, was glücklicherweise vor Ort geklärt werden konnte.

From arrival to departure we felt so welcome. The atmosphere and decor was amazing. The staff were so helpful, on reception they welcomed us with a smile, in the bar they made us some amazing cocktails and were always happy to chat and the housekeeping team did wonders, even coming to check with us that everything was up to scratch after our first day. Situated right next to the chain bridge and the castle quarter there's no shortages of places to eat and things to do. Can't recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle enough.

Great location, next to Chain Bridge. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Breakfast was well worth it. Water fill station was convenient. Just below Buda Castle and near stop 16 for hop on hop off bus line.

Had a lovely 4 night stay here, very nice hotel and excellent staff. Clean and tidy rooms well looked after by the room service staff. Nice smart bar area next to reception and a very nice breakfast area with a very large selection of food and drinks, which is constantly monitored and refreshed by the excellent staff. The usual cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes etc as well as a great selection of cold meats and cheeses to go with a huge bread display. Fruits, yoghurts, nuts berries, cakes and plenty to select from the drinks area, and on and on - very impressive. Location is great for the Buda side, just under the Fishermans bastion which is a short walk up, or bus 16 stops just down the road. On the main road next to the river the trams 19 and 41 will take you up and down this side of the river and to connections to all over the city. ***Recommend the 3 day travel pass for about £10 which is date and timed so you can forget about finding validation machines - just get on and sit down - much easier

Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt im Carlton Hotel in Budapest sehr genossen. Das Hotel war insgesamt sehr schön und sauber – das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt, und frische Handtücher gab es ebenfalls jeden Tag. Besonders praktisch fand ich, dass man sein Gepäck sowohl vor dem Check-in als auch nach dem Check-out sicher im Hotel unterbringen konnte. Das Gebäude selbst ist teilweise etwas altmodisch eingerichtet, aber dennoch gepflegt. Der Balkon meines Zimmers lag ruhig zum Innenhof, allerdings darf man hier keine besondere Aussicht erwarten. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt mit gutem Service – ich würde das Hotel weiterempfehlen, vor allem für Reisende, die eine zentrale, aber ruhige Unterkunft in Budapest suchen.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They made the experience as seamless as possible. Clean rooms, with good amenities. The location of this hotel was also very convenient as it made exploration a lot easier. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. I would stay there again!

Mycket bra läge i Budapest. Mycket att se och uppleva. Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam receptionspersonal på hotellet. Rymliga rum med bra badrum. Lite högt kostnadsläge för frukost och i baren. Väldigt hårda sänger och lite dålig luftkonditionering också lite negativt.

Great Buffet Breakfast, Our room was under the dining area so noisy in the morning.It never affected us too much as we were up and going early touring. Room was warm A/c do not activate till June . Our room had a little Patio which was nice . Overall a great spot , right next to the steps going up to Buda Castle .

The location close to the Chain Bridge was very good. For $3 more per night, we stayed in a Superior room, nearly twice the size of a standard room. The room was clean and comfortable, but the maid staff had a habit of opening the door without knocking, despite the Do Not Disturb sign being in place. The room was at the end of the hallway and electrical wiring was not extended into walls on 3 sides of our room. Without unplugging both the TV and a dim lamp, we had only 2 outlets, none within 15 feet of the nightstands. Ridiculous. As a retired airline captain with 24 of a 37 years career spent flying to and vacationing in over 100 cities in over 40 countries, this was the worst electrical layout ever seen. The friendly front desk staff was not very helpful with simple questions. The evening and morning desk staffs do not communicate together. The woman at the desk the morning we left was in chaos mode regarding the two shuttles arranged to pick up our group. Overall, I assess this as a nice, 3-star hotel. Given the electrical layout and front desk staff, I would look elsewhere for a next stay in Budapest. Two points deserve extra awareness: (1) There are two, distinctly different but nearly identically named hotels near each other: Carlton Hotel Buda Castle and the Buda Castle Hotel. (2) Unless driving/parking in their garage, the hotel is reached by walking down 15-20 cobblestone stairs or by walking uphill on a short but substantially inclined driveway.

Courteous and friendly staff. Very helpful in answering all questions; ordering transportation and bookings for attractions. They even provided an electric kettle for my room so I could have my early-morning tea. Will definitely recommend to others and hopefully, return myself.

The staff were amazing with my calls from the USA. They answered all my questions and were so nice in helping me! I was worried because it was the first time my sons were traveling alone, but the staff there were so helpful and kind that I was happy I booked this hotel room for them!

The woman at the desk the morning we left was in chaos mode regarding the two shuttles arranged to pick up our group. Overall, I assess this as a nice, 3-star hotel. Given the electrical layout and front desk staff, I would look elsewhere for a next stay in Budapest. Two points deserve extra awareness: (1) There are two, distinctly different but nearly identically named hotels near each other: Carlton Hotel Buda Castle and the Buda Castle Hotel. (2) Unless driving/parking in their garage, the hotel is reached by walking down 15-20 cobblestone stairs or by walking uphill on a short but substantially inclined driveway.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They made the experience as seamless as possible. Clean rooms, with good amenities. The location of this hotel was also very convenient as it made exploration a lot easier. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. I would stay there again!

The hotel is at good location if you wish to stay at Buda side, and the rooms were clean. The entrance is in the middle of steep hill so you might have issues to carry the luggage. The biggest issue is the customer service. Unfortunately we had to deal with younger reception lady couple times, who was rude.

This is a good hotel in a great spot close to the chain bridge on the Buda side. Staff were very friendly in this clean hotel. The room is a bit warm & 19 euros for breakfast is a bit steep but we had a great time here overall.

From arrival to departure we felt so welcome. The atmosphere and decor was amazing. The staff were so helpful, on reception they welcomed us with a smile, in the bar they made us some amazing cocktails and were always happy to chat and the housekeeping team did wonders, even coming to check with us that everything was up to scratch after our first day. Situated right next to the chain bridge and the castle quarter there's no shortages of places to eat and things to do. Can't recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle enough.

Great location, next to Chain Bridge. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Breakfast was well worth it. Water fill station was convenient. Just below Buda Castle and near stop 16 for hop on hop off bus line.

Had a lovely 4 night stay here, very nice hotel and excellent staff. Clean and tidy rooms well looked after by the room service staff. Nice smart bar area next to reception and a very nice breakfast area with a very large selection of food and drinks, which is constantly monitored and refreshed by the excellent staff. The usual cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes etc as well as a great selection of cold meats and cheeses to go with a huge bread display. Fruits, yoghurts, nuts berries, cakes and plenty to select from the drinks area, and on and on - very impressive. Location is great for the Buda side, just under the Fishermans bastion which is a short walk up, or bus 16 stops just down the road. On the main road next to the river the trams 19 and 41 will take you up and down this side of the river and to connections to all over the city. ***Recommend the 3 day travel pass for about £10 which is date and timed so you can forget about finding validation machines - just get on and sit down - much easier
