Every staff that I met or approached were very friendly and helpful. The junior suite is very comfortable and spacious for the 3 of us. The M club is cosy with good selection of food and drinks. Not forgetting the fantastic view from the room. The location is just 10min taxi ride from the main train station. There’s a tram which stops right in-front and a metro station within walking distance. Shopping, dining options and some tourist attractions are within walking distance. The only complaint I have is the water outside of the cubicle after showering.

We stayed in a 5 star hotel for 4 days. Not even once did our bedding get changed and bathroom services such as shower gel, towels etc. it was nice we got an upgrade but it would have been helpful to have the room tidied up and bedding etc changed.

We stayed 2 nights at the Marriot and absolutely LOVED it. Looking out onto the Danube alone was worth it but the room was clean, quiet and exactly what we needed. Service was impeccable and we will definitely stay here again. They were even able to get us an affordable car service to the airport so we didn’t have to take public transportation.

I stayed one night in August 2024, specifically on Hungary’s National Day. The hotel was a beacon of light and modernized Brutalist architecture, straight on the Danube’s bank. I appreciated the quick and very polite check-in staff, as well as the security around the hotel (the area was full of celebrants). In the room I found a beautiful set-up including a window-length couch from where I could admire the celebratory fireworks straight in my face (I got a River View room). The windows were surprisingly well sound-proofed: apart from the fireworks blown right in front, barely any sound passed through. The room service menu was delightful (chicken with greens; fresh fruit basket) and fast, and sleep was snuggly. In the morning I took advantage of their scrumptious and well-stocked breakfast with many options (including the basics of coffee & juices, sandwich materials, egg stations with omelette, waffles, pancakes; fruit, spreads, warm dishes, really aplenty), and then checked out. I have no negatives whatsoever and would definitely return here whenever in Budapest.

I was left not impressed by The Marriott Hotel in Budapest. The location is undeniably great, right on the Danube with gorgeous views, but the issues with the room took away from the experience. We had booked a room with two queen beds, but were given two doubles instead, which made the stay less comfortable than anticipated. The bathroom layout was especially frustrating. It felt like it was designed for children—the toilet was awkwardly positioned right behind the door, which made it easy to bump your legs every time you entered. Additionally, the glass door for the shower only covered about a quarter of the tub, which caused water to splash everywhere, making the space inconvenient to use. Service and dining were average, with nothing to particularly rave about. While the hotel has potential due to its location, the room setup and design flaws made it hard to fully enjoy the stay.

I did not add breakfast with my booking. I was told at check in that if I add it breakfast at check in it will be 25 euros per room for two people. At checkout, I was charged 50 euros per room for 2 people. Asked to change it but she stated that she can’t change now. Asked to call night person( who told us about the offer) to confirm the offer but she said no. Asked to to talk to the manager but answer was the same. I would not trust their word for anything in the future

This is an outstanding place to stay in Budapest. Perfect location for attractions of Vaci Street, walks on the Danube, Cruises on the Danube (Dock 10 is very close by. Plan for cruise close to hotel and you can walk there easily.) and easy transport to other parts of the city. Hotel takes fine care of its guests.

Beautiful hotel, even though modern design is disgusting and ruins the shoreline of Budapest. Right on Danube, walking distance to the center of Pest, and right across the bridge to Buda. Good service, wonderful terrace. Great location. Definitely a recommendation.

Amazing views of the Danube, great service and very clean. Lovely room, good size and high quality furnishings. Mini fridge with room for few of own items. Huge safe. Good selection of beers in hotel bar. Great maid service. Enjoyed the roof terrace but reccomend booking. If you order a pizza in the bar beware they are huge and one will do two easily. (Pepperoni pizza is quite hot.) Loved the cooked and deli selection at breakfast buffet. Do egg dishes to order. Walked most places and when did use transport was very easy but would advise Budapest Go app for tickets purchases as tickets machines not easy to fine outside metro. Would highly recommend hotel and area.

A great location for a hotel, the pre arrival team made me very welcome. Checkin was seamless, room was available at 4pm on the day of arrival. Room was excellent Having eaten breakfast and dinner on multiple occasions I would recommend having some “specials” as the menu is a bit dated. Also the wine mentioned on the menu was no longer available. I also recommend having someone at the entrance to welcome customers in and ensure there is follow-up with the floor staff.
