The room was dirty, found slices of old onion under the sofa, bed sheets weren’t clean, towels weren’t clean. Had to request all new stuff. Breakfast was just waffles and cereal and that’s it.

Don’t stay here. Housekeeping left towels from last ppl hanging in shower. Breakfast ends 2 hrs before checkout as if ppl aren’t getting in all times of nite. They don’t honor prices advertised. Indoor pool to cold to swim in. Highly disappointed in the Newport News City Center location. For an industry that charges full price at check-in, y’all dont cater to customers needs.

This hotel was disgusting. Our room smelled like mildew and mold. It was so humid and sticky. We stayed in July and it was more humid in our room than outside. The floors were sticky and covered in nasty crap. There was mold behind the bed and blood spots on our bedding. How ironic that they have signs everywhere saying “breathe in” this is a smoke free hotel….yet it smelled strong of marijuana smoke everywhere. The pool was foamy and cloudy. I brought my concerns up with the front desk and asked for a discount and they weren’t even willing to address the problems and refused a discount.

My room wasn’t properly cleaned; sheets had terrible stains which was definitely from the previous guest and the bed head had finger prints and very evidently smudged otherwise. The phone in the room didn’t work, the water from the shower doesn’t drain, towels & wash cloths were dirty, discolored & had hair wrapped in them. There was a constant noise coming from the room but couldn’t place exactly where, so prevented me from getting a good nights rest. After the room was serviced, the bathroom was still gross & not even the toilet paper was replaced. The staff was not terrible but the facility needs a lot of work.
