showed up at 5:30pm and room was not ready. A/C in the room did not work. Pool was dirty and the hot tub. broken plastic in the pool. Show water smelled.

The staff was friendly, and the services were timely. However, what is not good is the daily parking charge. I have never been to a Marriott to pay for parking daily when it is open to the public.

We always enjoy our stay at a Marriot. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. However i did find things from the previous guests, crazy straw on the floor behind the curtain, tooth pick on the floor next to the bed. And we were very disappointed that the hot tub advertised was not heated. When i asked the front desk, they said it was broken. This was a deciding factor in why we booked this hotel, and we were looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub

Staff was exceptional. Everyone was helpful, genuinely kind and seemed to be enjoying being at work. Ms Tami at the front desk was very helpful, getting me checked in earlier then originally planned. Rooms were clean and smelled fresh.

The greatest part of the hotel was the staff! All were amazing! However, the hotel is definitely showing signs of neglect. There were stains all over the elevators, including smear stains of only god knows what. They had hand sanitizer stations at every elevator but none of them worked. The exterior of the hotel was dirty and desperately needs to be power washed. I guess I can’t be too surprised, we were in Newport News.

The linens on the bed had the most disgusting smell. I could not sleep soundly due to the need to keep my face off the pillow. Disgusting industrial detergents.

We stayed here after a long day at the beaches. It was only a one night stay for us. We used the pull-out couch that could have been improved with a better mattress. The bed was comfortable. The room was a bit humid, but it could have been a result of the heat-wave that we were experiencing when travelling. The luggage carts were almost non-existent, which was slightly inconvenient but not a deal-breaker for us. There were a-la-carte food options in the hotel, and restaurants nearby. Easy to get to this hotel from the highway. The hotel upkeep was excellent.

The staff made the stay amazing! They were professional and friendly. The hotel overall was great. There were issues during the overnight hours with the AC. My daughter stayed the same night as well and her AC also stopped working overnight. Outside of that it was amazing and we would stay there again!

The tv in the room was 32 inch and would not turn off, asked for a tub and did not get one, A/C was sluggish and didnt cool the room very well, bathroom light could only be turned on if hallway light was on, staff was nice but expected much better for the price I paid

I had a good stay overall, but the room was not in good shape. The glass shower door seal at the bottom was coming off so the door didnt want to seal shut all the way, the light on the ceiling right inside the main door to the room was flickering and making a loud noise when on, and the light on the side of the bed didnt turn on and off with the switch, you had to screw and unscrew the bulb to use it. Please check these things and fix them before having people stay in a room in that shape. Other than the room issues, the staff was great, and the hotel itself was fine.

Went to the hotel at 4:00 pm room wasn’t ready. Was told to come back in a hour, room still wasn’t ready. Was told again to come back. Finaliy at 9:45 pm I checked in. Very disappointed.

Friendly registration. When arriving at room, the tv was on and there were towels and sheets on the floor. Obviously it wasn’t ready for guests. We went down and were assigned a new room promptly.

Based on reviews of the hotel online, I thought the place would be nicer. Also, our room was not ready for check-in at 3 PM, was delayed until after 6pm. Had somewhere to be that evening and they were not prepared.

Check in was amazing the front desk ladies helped get me in extra early cause I was traveling by myself and had no transportation after landing early that morning. I even got to extend my stay for the next night but it was a little more expensive then I would have liked.

We had one of the best customer service experiences at this hotel. From the moment we checked in the women at the front desk were accommodating and very friendly to speak to. Everyday the same women would see us and make sure we had everything we needed, even recieved a hug from one before we left. Amazing experience, plenty of cozy spots throughtout the lobby and outside to socialize with family, breakfast/coffee, bar w happy hour. Great experience.

This was our second visit to this hotel. We like it because it is kind of tucked away from the main road. It is still very close to many restaurants. It is close to the local university as well as other places such as Yorktown. We think this hotel offers a good value for the area.

Good location. There was a disgusting odor when you get off the 2nd and 3rd fl elevator. We were told the bar and restaurant would be opening and it never did because the worker did not report for work.

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was very clean. The amenities were good. Clean towels, etc etc. The Bistro was opened twice on my 6 night stay. It would have been nice to stop by and enjoy a drink any night that we would have liked but it’s understandable as to why it was closed. Overall stay was good.

It was a nice stay. The service at the bistro was lacking. It had one person operating it and it seemed like they were making to food on top of serving the people at the bar ( which meant you had to wait a bit to get served). In the shower was a note to close the door all the way, but even with me having to hold the door closed there was no complete seal so water ended up on the floor outside the shower. Lastly this location does not provide house keeping everyday (which was not a problem for me), just a heads up. Overall I had a nice stay.
