OYO Hotel Harriman near I-40

We were just a overnight stay on a budget and for the money the interior room was remodeled updated. It was very nice clean. They offered breakfast in the morning. They have a nice pool. The view is really nice and you can walk to cracker barrel for the money. I would highly recommend it

No elevaror..on 3rd floor... Didn't have room i reserved... No coffee in room... No room service...stayed 2 nights... Desk clerk had very strong Accent could not understand them.

The property was very close a few restaurants and the Interstate. The handicap accessible room that I booked was not available so I was given a room on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. The manager then put us in a room on the 1st floor that had a shower chair too big to fit into the tub and a toilet that my husband had to remove the tank lid and adjust the levers inside in order to flush it.

Not good at all! See my review on hotel website! Mold growing in pool. We and another couple had to move rooms because the air went out. The air I. The 2 nd room wasn’t extremely cold. Poor customer service. No cancellations or date are for a reason. Take heed!!

Room was clean and spacious. Parking lot was well lit, almost like daytime!!

we honestly had no issues at the property itself, other than the fact that only one of the power outlets worked in our room. The staff was very nice and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. The pool was dirty, but it also rained a lot right before we went. My complaint is with Oyo as a company. I booked my stay at the Oyo Harriman hotel through Expedia. And somehow ended up with two separate bookings. I was charged for a two day booking through Expedia and we added a day since we arrived in town earlier than expected. The front desk informed us that Expedia had listed our stay as a "pay at hotel" and charged us for the entire three days instead of just the extra day we added because we arrived early. When I realized I had been double charged for the original two day stay I contacted Expedia who was more than willing to refund me for the extra two day booking upon approval from the hotel. However, OYO refused to acknowledge there was a double booking and refund me my money. They claimed there was not a duplicate booking even though there were 2 separate bookings in my name, one for three days and one for two days overlapping the first booking. So I ended up paying for "five nights" when we only stayed at the hotel for three nights. OYO has still not acknowledged that there was a double booking and still refuses to refund my money.

We arrived early and no rooms available on first floor (no elevator). We were given the option of waiting 30 minutes or taking a room on the second floor. I opted for later since I had a pain and wanted to lay down. The floor was not vacuumed and I had to remove a big bug before my wife saw it. The linens were stained and the sink had hairs in and around it. The lampshades were damaged and one was missing making the room annoyingly bright. If I was asked if I would stay at another OYO motel, would say ONO.

Please think twice before booking here. There is a no cancellation policy for a reason. This motel rents to people on weekly basis. Strong smell of marijuana! Four cops were in back of hotel searching a uhaul truck. It was gone next morning. Lots of yelling and foul language. The only breakfast was coffee and cereal. No eggs, waffles or warm foods. Juice machine was out of order. Keys continuously stopped working. Lots of steps to get down to pool. No handicap ramp. Our room was so hot and facing the evening sun. The air conditioning barely cooled. By the next morning, it went out and we had to move rooms. Found out another couple had move rooms too because of the air conditioning. Booking through a third party is huge mistake The front desk will tell you they can’t add or change anything in any way. The pool was filthy. So unsanitary and mold on the sides, it literally needs to be turned over to some type of better business!

Room was clean, comfortable and cheap, it the pool that needed cleaning. Overall very pleased with my stay especially for what it cost me :)

Close to freeway. Easy in/out. Has parking. Entrance ramp is steep, so low profile cars could have difficulty

I was literally at this place about an hour and seen 3 ROACHES. We checked out and left. The person that Own’s this property own the motel next to it also. When I checked out and informed Expedia they had ROACHES they lied and told them We stayed the whole night and checked out that morning. I don’t know about any of you but I don’t do bugs that like to come home with you. This place said they have a no refund policy so now they are ripping people off knowing if someone saw ROACHES they are not staying. And that OYO owner is not going to return there money. This happened the weekend of 8/8/2025 NASTY!!!!!!!

Old run down property. Only stayed one night so not terrible but it’s as clean as you can get it but cockroaches on the wall need to taken care of

They have cockroaches. When I showed a picture of one I found in the bathroom upon arrival, she did seem surprised. She offered me a different room! I asked for a refund, as I was leaving immediately. She said I'd have to tak to Expedia.com, although I made my reservation through Hotels.com. was in the room for about 10 minutes before leaving. Very disappointed. Will not be using Hotels.com in the future!!

Towels were filthy, obvious dirt. Mold in bathroom. Cigarette burns on the bedcover, no blanket. Hole in ceiling. Grounds were dirty with lots of cigarette butts no front desk. A search to hotel next door that checked us in… worse hotel experience ever.

Floors were very dirty. Under the beds was a bunch of trash and cereal pieces. 2 towels were stained. Holes in the walls. Shower drained very slow. Door frame is rusted in the bathroom & entry, bed sheets have cigarette burn holes, and the door lock stopped recognizing the key card after just 1 use, the smoker detector was missing, and the phone had no cord. To top it off, when my son was getting ready to go to bed, he moved the clock to set his phone down and bugs/roaches ran out. We checked out and have requested a full refund. We travel to Harriman many times a year and we will not waste our money here again. Everyone should avoid this hotel like the plague.

Walked in room and within minutes seen roach on bed, bathroom wall and floor by bed. You could smell the roach smell when walking in. Staff seemed concwrn d got us set up in their sister property which was much better, beside pool and office; seen no insects or anything evidence of

The room was very clean the staff treated us like family

We check in and found mens underwear hanging in the bathroom. I took a shower and my feet were black by the time I got to bed. The place is run down. The room was sticky and moldy.

Terrible smell of smoke, found trash behind mattresses, missing drawer in dresser. Burn marks on bedding

I’m not the kind of person who complains and I’m fully aware and understanding that this is not exactly their faults. But bed bugs are a serious problem that can cost someone a lot of money in the end over one night. The guy at the front desk was super nice and offered to move my room he was very respectful and tried every alternative i just personally couldn’t stay there after seeing this.

Beds were not comfy at all. And is it normal to have "half pillows"? Front desk was nice, but for the price i think the rooms need some updating. The electrical looking mess was repurted to front desk.

OYO is an older hotel. Decor was worn. However, the room was exceptionally clean. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. The worst thing I could say is the Bullfrogs sang loudly. lol

Ok for one night but needs updating

Room was damp feeling and had either heavy cleaner or air freshener in it, making me wonder what smelled so bad they had to cover it up to that extent. Stayed on front side of hotel facing street (even numbers), which was a pain to move bags from car to room as there is no parking at the front of hotel (odd numbered rooms)- only the rear. Shower was clean. Sheets were clean but had multiple cigarette holes. Pillows required all 4 to make a useable pillow. Bed was well worn. Debated leaving and staying elsewhere but decided to stay as I'd just driven from Wilmington NC & was exausted. Front of hotel also overlooks the train tracks, be prepared to be awoken frequently if you don't leave the tv on or aren't use to it. Wouldn't stay again, the usual you get what you pay for, just expected better based on other recent reviews.

I wish they hadn’t taken the in room coffee maker out. That’s is my only complaint

Horrible experience. Couldn't find a check in area when i arrived. I booked 2 nights. Sat in my car for 45 mins trying to call the hotel. The number listed is an answering service in California. Spoke with 3 different people and no one could tell me where to go to check in. At the propery there is no signage to show where the lobby or check in area is. Ended up leaving and checking into a hotel nearby bc it was already 2a.m. Will NEVER stay at any Oyo hotels bc of this experience. The answering service for Oyo has the most incompetent employees and they are rude.

Staff is very friendly and helpful .they treated us like they knew us our whole life's.

Billed us twice on our credit card. The receipt of my stay doesn't even match the charges on my credit card bill. Your night manager could use some more training. The first room we were sent to and stayed in had no water running to the sink and the key card lock to the the door was not working. Bad experience at check-in. Not sure we will be back .

I made a reservation for OYO, but had to check in at the Quality Inn next door. It was confusing. There should have been notification of this on the door of OYO's closed lobby. Otherwise the stay was good.

The office was difficult to find. You had to go over to The Quality Inn, which was crazy! The person at the desk was not very friendly at all! The rooms were okay but nothing to brag about. The tub wouldn’t drain well, so while showering, you stand in water.

The staff was very helpful and friendly the manager super nice and helpful the stay was nice clean and comfortable will stay again.

Check in was confusing as there is Oyo office and no sign to tell you to check in at the Quality Inn. Room was clean but dated. Blankets had holes in them from being worn out.

Hotel is clean. Staff was very friendly. There is a Cracker Barrel within walking distance and a gas station adjacent to the property. So convenience is there.

This was a very peaceful stay close to the interstate with fuel and food locations near by. A pleasant stop with a friendly staff.

Two adjacent motels now jointly under new ownership but confusing and lacking clear signage. Only one office open and confusing directional notice at closed office. Could not operate credit card charging machine at check in and had to self pay room charge via emailed link, which I was concerned about but checked my bank app to make sure I did not pay twice. Room was not king as requested as only king left (although reserved king room weeks ago) was upstairs and clerk insisted on giving us 2 queen room downstairs because of mobility concerns. Room comfortable except for tiny bathtub that under 5 ft person could not stretch out in for a soak. Towels thick and soft but no third towel to dry hair, only 2 for 2 people. Location fairly quiet and breakfast adequate.

I didn't like the smell and the wifi wasn't working,there was barely any breakfast to eat.The juice machine wasn't working,coffee tea bags were empty.All night the mosquitoes were attacking us.

The ratings on hotels.com were completely false. This property was the worst hotel in terms of cleanliness, convenience, and amenities that we have ever been in. We considered leaving and canceling the room but didn't have other options and didn't want to deal with the front desk staff again. We weren't actually sure where we should check in. I have several pictures that show property neglect, possibly unsafe and definitely unsanitary conditions. The check in staff was dour and it seemed we were interrupting their nap. The coverlets on the beds had bleach stains and cigarette burn holes in them. There was only a sheet and thin coverlet rather than any blankets. There was no elevator and no luggage cart. The room did not have any USB ports for charging electronics. The plug on the light between the beds didn't work at all . There was no kleenex provided in the room. Room service consisted of providing one more bath towel and one more hand towel - didn't make beds or leave new plastic cups. The "breakfast" consisted of ice cold water in the hot water carafe, 1 remaining apple, no milk for the cereal and 1 remaining muffin and donut each. The microwave was filthy. There were personal items settled into the walkways that apparently belonged to long-term residents. The grounds were unkept and littered with decorations from holiday's past. There was a small hole dug in the dirt under one of the paint-peeling stairways that appeared very creepy. The site should be razed.

The door key wouldnt work and we were so tired. Instead of making us wait for someone to fix the door, they upgraded us from 2 queen beds to a single king. The room was beautiful, clean, and fresh feeling/smelling. The only flaw was the security latch was missing. The breakfast was great. The staff went out of their way to make sure the coffee was fresh, and every few minutes they checked to make sure everything was stocked full. The check in went quickly and was exactly what we expected. My family lives nearby, so i will be back often!

The door to the room was not shut when we got there barely got it to lock w/deadbolt then wouldn’t lock just push open when we left and the tv didn’t work Reported the problem to be told if you would have told us last night we could have changed you but when we checked in they told the person in front of us that they only had smoking rooms available Went down for breakfast at 8:00 leaving Hubby in the room because couldn’t lock the door. Breakfast area was a mess with garbage overflowing on to counter and nothing warm to eat no waffle batter and Juice Machine not working. Had to climb stairs to get to room and trash laying around.
