Hot tub was broken

It was a nice hotel just sucked that the elevators were out completely and being that our room was on the thrid floor wasnt fun having to go up and down with all our luggage and having little kids wasnt easy ither. Beds were that comfy and our ac leaked i let the front desk lady know and she seemed to not care. Most my family had issues in the pool as well with the high levels of chlorine made some of the sick. Some of the staff are nice but some are rude just depends who your talking to but other then these issues it wasnt that bad i just dont think we would stay here again.

Broken elevator. Open lobby to second floor made our room loud. People on the hall until midnight made it louder. Hall carpet smells like wet dog.

Nice room design and had everything we needed for my family and dog. A little disappointed that the hot tub was out of order, but my kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. Would stay here again if we have the chance.

Definitely nothing to write home about. The pool and hot tub have left us scarred. The amount of bleach used is unreal. Our lungs are burning and we have dry and irritated spots through our body. We turned on the jets in the hot tub and it all went down hill from there. It was within two minutes we all (6) of us in there, exited and had to wipe our eyes with a towel. They were burning so bad. The worst part was trying to talk to the front desk employee the next morning. She completely shut us down and said everything was tested after the other complaints and it all came back fine. So, I went back in the pool area before we checkout out to make myself feel better about it. I wasn’t wrong. Something is terribly wrong with that pool.

The layout of the rooms is quite comfortable and the staff is friendly. The location is within walking distance of any supplies you may need and just off the freeway. We were pretty disappointed that the hot tub was closed and the pool was really cold. But, otherwise the stay was comfortable.

All of the staff were excellent & friendly. The hotel is slightly dated & the bed a bit lumpy. The breakfast was decent & kept well stocked. I really didn’t se any recycling options, but may have missed? My only super disappointment was that the hot tub wasn’t working. That & the pool was the reason I booked my stay here. I should have called direct to confirm but obviously it wasn’t a deal breaker & my Granddaughter was happy with the pool. It was a bit chilly for me.

The only drawback was a non functioning elevator, which can get old when you're on the 3rd floor.

Reserved a room here because it had a pool and hot tub and served breakfast. After a day of traveling, I wanted to have a pool for the children and hot tub for my wife. When we went to the pool, it was small and was practically full and the chemical levels were so high it stung our eyes instantly. I was disappointed.

Room was clean. Didn’t use pool area. Tried to park car in well lit area. Staff were very young and spent a lot of time outside smoking and visiting in a group. Elevator broke our last night there and we had to pull a lot of luggage and bags downstairs. We all three are elderly so it was a bit hard for us. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Pre made omelets to pop in microwave and hard boiled eggs. There was sausage, gravy, and biscuits. You could also make a waffle.

Always clean and quiet.

Room was dirty and had old food in the refrigerator from previous guests.

There was dog hair everywhere in the room and the floor was very sticky. The only good thing is the bed was clean.

Pillow covers were not washed , there was hair and other particle from a previous occupant. The sheets looked like we’re not changed

Hotel looked nothing like photos. First impressions, the whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and it was questionable, if it would be safe to stay with our child. When we got to our room the floors were sticky and we almost left, but it was late and we did not want to go through the hassle of repacking up and booking a different hotel. Furthermore, they were unable to refund us. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everyone and everything. It was very run down, with scratched up floors and doors, etc. Fortunately the beds were clean enough to sleep on. In the top three worse hotels, I have stayed, I would NEVER stay here EVER AGAIN. Stay away!!! The only thing about this spot that was good was the staff, they were very kind.

Hotel is very run down and dirty. Elevator was gross. Our bathroom floor was nasty. Bed was sacked out. Breakfast was okay. Lots of parking. Nothing like the photos...time to update them.

Rooms were very clean very spacious

Clean and well maintained property. Well appointed room, Comfortable bed. Easy access to the I-5. Hotel is in a mall parking lot with easy access to a Safeway, restaurants, JCPenny. Many other restaurants near by. Very nice breakfast with sausage gravy, waffles etc. Very good coffee.

I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of our room (hairs in the bathroom, floors were sticky) but the bedsheets were fresh and clean and the friendly and helpful staff, reasonable price and convenience of the location made up for it.

Tried to get the fireplace to work but couldn’t, couch uncomfortable. Otherwise it was just fine

Great rooms

My room was somewhat “beat up”. My shower didn’t work at all. It was also very loud. I could hear people walking and talking.

Room was strangely large and a bit empty. Was clean and quiet though. Beds were comfy. Bathroom wasn’t in the greatest condition.

The tv service and wifi were not working, when we talked to the front desk, they said that maintenance was working on it but it never came on during our 2 night stay.

I loved the room size. The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly!

Stay was overall very nice, the fountain was great. I would recommend that because it’s a hotel and that is where people go to sleep wether it be one night or 2 weeks that the beds would be top priority for any hotel. This was a nice hotel for the price but my husband and I had a rough night on the mattress that was saggy and what I would call “pitted” in the middle, yea it was a rough night and rough the next day with back stiffness that was no fun.

Rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. Convenient location, close driving distance to places. Grocery store is right next door. The only issue we had is that the lobby echos and sometimes we could hear it in our room. Excellent breakfast options in the morning.

Very comfortable beds! This place is dog friendly and the walls are thin so we heard a large dog barking...a lot. Excellent customer service.

Staff was friendly, check in was easy and fast. Room and bathroom were clean and bed was comfortable. We really liked that breakfast hours started early.

We were awoken twice in the middle of the night because of noisy neighbors and the attendant did not address the issue

Disappointing stay. Before arriving, asked for adjoining rooms or same floor as rest of family. Was put on separate floor. Room I was given smelled of wet dog. Told the front desk, said they were sorry but completely full so could do nothing. Clerk did come up to room with Febreze, acknowledged room smell, sprayed room & left spray with me. Unfortunately, the Febreze gave me a headache. Had to leave window open entire stay. Upon departure once again mentioned to front desk about room smell. Said they were sorry, but were full and did not have time to air out room. Also told me that because I had paid through Expedia they could not adjust the price/give me a break in price. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and have to say theirs was poor.

Comparing to other hotels near this price point, even as a last minute stay, this hotel stands head and shoulders above the rest. Well stocked continental breakfast that stayed open until 10am on the weekend which was great, lots of options including waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausages, hard boiled eggs, fruit, toast, muffins, and more with juice, coffee and a selection of tea. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. Clean room, clean linens and despite there being a few areas showing a bit of wear, it looked like maintenance did a good job keeping things quite serviceable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area!

The staff at GuestHouse Kelso was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is definitely a 3 star hotel. Breakfast was good with a number of choices available

The staff here were completely unhelpful and rude. I reserved a room for three people that had a pull out couch bed. Pillows and blankets were not provided in the room for this pull out bed, so I went to the front desk and asked for them. I was told by the front desk staff that they would not give me a pillow or blanket for the bed because at first "we don't have any" and when I requested them again I was told "my manager wouldn't like that." If a room is for THREE people, then bedding should be provided for THREE PEOPLE! I had to request these items multiple times and basically argue about how I wasn't going to spend $200.00 a night and sleep without a pillow - until finally the woman in a huff went to a storage room and got me a blanket and pillow that smelled like a wet dog. They were definitely not clean (and apparently saying the hotel did not have any was a lie). I also asked this woman for restaurant recommendations in the area and she rolled her eyes at me and said, "I don't know, I don't eat out." That is just ignorance. Even if you don't eat there a front desk worker in the hospitality field should have food recommendations and should be able to direct guests around the area. The staff at this hotel were so off-putting I would never recommend anyone else stay here - especially if you want to have a pillow and blanket on your bed.

The check in staff were over the top with their customer service. Friendly and helpful! They need to be cloned.

Property was pretty good, much better than modt of the lower reviews. A bit noisy with trains and road noise the main factors but there was hallway noise also. Not the easiest place to find but i am from there so i knew how to find it. Nice lobby. Very small elevator

We stayed for 3 nights and the warm breakfast never changed. There’s also too many tables and not enough chairs in the first dining room space. That being said, my kids ate without complaint each morning. And we were able to find seating each morning. The pool was basic, but great for the kids. The room was as expected. I interacted with a few women and each was kind and helpful. One front desk, one over the food and one cleaning woman. Each made sure my needs were met when I asked for help.

Parking was easy, onsite. Breakfast needs to be updated to provide more healthy options.

Front desk was friendly. Room was clean but pretty stark and uninviting. Pillows uncomfortable. Breakfast nice. Adequate little gym for overnight workout.

Staff were friendly rooms were clean no foul smells My only negative that I had to say is the breakfast menu was very limited with the cheese omelettes being in. I don’t know how far premade and put in the little fridge so they weren’t hot and fresh for that morning wasn’t a big variety or selection.

We had two rooms. One room was heavily scented ( perhaps with cleaning agents) smelled like scented dryer sheets and even had strong smell the next day. Upon entering lobby, smelled of chlorine. Breakfast was minimal with staff not refilling items. There were no milk or sausage replenishments at all while we were there. Beds were clean. Site needs major refresh.
