The room had a strong cleaning odor that didn't dissipate. Staff were terrific.

Staff was not very helpful or Knowledgeable the amenities were even less so u less you wanted the pool. The room was updated but little warm the ac wasn’t working very well and the internet was unusable at the time.

I rated this hotel as a 3 because the AC was very loud and woke me up every time it turned on. Also there was a group of people outside our room arguing, screaming, and cussing. It went on for two hours and the police had to come twice.

Our stay was during a planned orientation for the local university, because of the local natural disaster of flooding rains, the orientation was postponed. We checked in on time and the staff was super friendly. I did ask if we could have a a day, or two, comped since we had no control over the flooding rains, nor the postponed orientation. We were told no. I felt this was a little unfair, since again, we had no control over any of it and we did arrive on time for check in; as well as, we booked an appointment for the newly planned upcoming orientation. While there, we did walk around the grounds of the hotel. It is a well kept, and nice area to stay at. The room was very clean, and kept at a comfortable temperature. The smell in the room was almost like an old, musty smell. The local stores and shops were closed because of the flooding rains, so finding a place to eat or buy food at the stores was very difficult. We have another reservation coming up and hoping its better than the first.

Front desk staff are incredibly RUDE and extremely inhospitable for the industry! This was the first time I was treated so badly and refused check in due to a strict but unreasonable check in policy of 4pm! Upon entering the lobby, they all blankly stared at me as if I was interrupting their conversation. When I asked to check in, the man immediately said No very loudly and rudely that the room is not ready and pointed and said it’s on the sign posted here! I was flabbergasted at his response. They all just glared at me. It was 2:30 in the afternoon without a soul in sight and the parking lot was nearly empty! But I had to “wait” until 4 to check in!?!? Made absolutely no sense. Either way, the man finally relented and let me check in at 3:30! An hour later..while I sat in my car. He acted like he was doing us the biggest favor.! I could hardly wait to escape to my room! Management needs a new front desk crew immediately! This place was built in 1958 btw and it shows. The ac in our room is probably original bc it never cooled down below 78. So hot and humid. Awful. Everything in our room was terribly outdated and even the really old, flat screen tv was difficult and often stopped working.. However, I could have easily overlooked the problems with the room if we had been welcomed in instead of being admonished and made to wait an hour over a check in policy. Your guests deserve better! I would never come back or recommend this place. What a shame.
