There is not an elevator in the building we stayed in. The room smelled closed up, but it was spacious and comfortable. We had a balcony which was lovely. Overall, a nice place we return to each time we are in Kerrville.

Hotel is ok. The lobby is gorgeous but that doesn’t continue to the rooms. Our room felt like a summer camp room with rusty and dirty showers, peeling wallpaper, and very dated. We were also looking forward to the hot tub but it was a home, residential hot tub and was out of order. It was not a horrible experience but the lobby and photos definitely didn’t match the rooms.

Overall pleasant. Lobby is classic hunting lodge and very nice. Rooms are clean but 1984 bathrooms, desks, and AC units need an update. Unfortunately the swim up bar I liked in the past was closed due to short staffing. They also allowed smoking on the pool deck which is a major turn off. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but I don’t think I’d stay there again until they address these issues. Banning smoking on the pool deck and opening the swim up bar might be enough to change my mind and those don’t cost much. I really hope the management will do what is needed to make the place live up to its potential.

Nice older facility. Staff very accommodating. Convenient location. The door cards kept losing their ability to open the doors but the staff is aware of this issue and recharges the cards without a lengthy explanation. Pool is wonderful and Restaurant was good.

Outdated decor and curtains/moldy shower curtain/moldy tub caulking /air conditioner leaking on outside creating mildew/need replacement of matresses. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here until they do alot of remodeling and upgrade. We should have left and gone somewhere else, but we were tired and it was late. Glad we only stayed overnight.

The room was filthy upon check in. There was hair all over the toilet, in the shower, and in the sink. There was either dried feces or vomit on the inside of the toilet lid. The entire floor of the room was also dirty. It was obvious the room was not cleaned. The sheets and towels looked like they had been changed, but we ended up going back to the front desk and getting a refund. The desk personnel were apologetic, and refunded our money right away.

I have wanted to stay at the YO since I was a kid. Overall it did not meet my expectations, the hotel was run down. The check in was great, the lobby was cool. The hotel room was a little difficult to find. Once we got into the room and it was nothing special. The bathroom could use some updates. The internet would not allow us to connect a tablet or computer. When I called to ask the front desk I was told the internet was fine, and no guests had made a complaint. Hello, I was a guest and was complaining. We ended up having to find a Starbucks to get our projects done on time. Check out was a breeze. And we tried the hotel restaurant, It was good, the service was mediocre but we enjoyed the food.

Older resort property that is in desperate need of a refresh. The bathroom was very dated. Paint flakes falling from the ceiling. Lots of evidence of water damage repairs. Mini-fridge in room was malfunctioning - loud and leaking.

The hotel is a bit older and the room had a simple, dated look with hard tile floors and no area rugs. That said, the shower was hot, the towels were crisp and clean, and the bed was soft with fresh sheets. It was also very quiet, which made for a good night’s sleep. The taxidermy animals in the lobby were interesting and added character. I didn’t try the restaurant or bar, but it was nice to know those options were available. What really stood out was the staff—super nice, welcoming, and attentive. The staff were very nice, but due to a mistake during check-in, I was assigned a room where the current occupant had extended their stay. This led to some confusion when trying to enter the room. Still, the staff were able to relocate me to a different room and were very apologetic, also offering a complimentary breakfast buffet.

Nice hotel although AC filters super dirty and bed was very, very soft so not best option for longer term stays. The room was spacious however and reasonably clean. The strange thing that happened is the day that I left. I got a phone call from a man asking me if I had checked out which never happened to me before in my life. Then when I told the man I couldn’t hear what he said, he started yelling at me and asked me again if I had checked out I said yes, and then he hung up on me so I will not go back. The front desk lady was great.

Checked in, gotroom key, went to room and unpacked, received phone call from front desk stating they had checked me into the wrong room. So i repacked my belongings and returned to the front desk.young girl began making excuses which i did not want to hear. Everyone at front desk that day seemed a little confused.

Jamie at the FD was great! The rooms are alittle outdated but clean, big and spacious and solid walls help dampen the noise from the room next door. Location is close to the freeway but far enough not to hear the traffice noise. Breakfast was equal to the higher end big names hotels but the big differance was the staff enjoyed their work. Made is feel welcomed and happy we were at the hotel. pool is large and clean, parking was plenty and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Great Job to all, especially Jamie at the FD.

One night stay with my wife; such a beautiful lobby and restaurant and the pool area was delightful. Just past I-10 as you come in to Kerrville on Hwy 16 from Fredericksburg; also not far from downtown Kerrville and the river park below. A must stay kinda place in Kerrville!

The venerable YO Ranch has begun to show its age. Nothing egregious, just a general sense of wear. The rooms are large, though, and the family suites (with bunk beds in a separate room) are especially nice. YO's dining options (never great) have declined. Its buffet is lackluster (overdone chicken fingers and not much else worth mentioning for lunch) and the on-menu items are bland. My advice: drive the 22 miles up to Fredericksburg for dinner. There bar is still nice, though the swim-up station in the pool is no longer manned. Service is still friendly and helpful, though, which is what makes this still my favorite hotel in the area, despite its decidedly down-at-the-heels condition.

Visit was fine close to everything. Clean room I only have pictures of are room when we leave. But we forgot something valuable and called and they had it. Clean and honest great buffet on Sunday. Bar was hopping but we don't drink sat in lobby they had a band they where pretty good.

Everyone was really nice except the bar tender. She was not very friendly. The restaurant was terrible, food quality was not up to par with the price. Breakfast was Continental style with nothing more than motel six offers, was over 20$ per person. We had to get our own drinks, refill our coffee. Definitely not worth it. We did have ants in our bed, shower, floor. Told the maintenance guy he sprayed outside our room and gave us a can to spray inside the room. Price of rooms are extremely high for what this hotel offers. 😬 I don’t think we will be staying here again.
