Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Philadelphia Airport

We booked this hotel 2-3 weeks ahead of our trip. Travelled very far from Canada to Philadelphia 9 hours . Despite calling them when we booked that we will be arriving early morning booked Thursday through Saturday. And when we got there early morning Friday. They had sold our rooms. We booked for 12 people total. And the booking even said 4 people each room. They tried giving me only 1 room with 2 beds and other 2 with only 1 bed. A family of 12 getting only 4 beds how does that work. Fortunately I found place to sleep after 1 hour of standing tired. And than they refunded my booking. But that too after I called helpline 2-3 times. If doing early check in even if you have booked a day before call them so they don’t sell your room to someone else without confirming with you.

The staff was kind of rough with attitude like he was doing us a favor . The interior safety latch door lock was broken. In the shower they got soap dispenser with no soap , the bathroom door lock needs to be adjusted or replaced The room smells got cigarette smell we have to buy an air freshener to try to blend the smell. I’ll will think twice about staying again in this hotel

Our room was very dull smelling, AC unit did not work well, it never cooled down our room and made it feel very moist inside as well as turned off by itself randomly. Plenty of parking.

Overall bad experience. Staff was short and distant. Parking area was unsafe. Room smelled like previous tenant was a smoker. Bed was lumping and uncomfortable. Do not recommend

The room lighting was horrible there was no soap or shampoo or conditioner in the shower
