Sleep in is under new owners, and the new owners went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Property needs a lot of TLC, and they are doing their best to make sure it's being done in a timely matter! Breakfast was hot and very good, also was the coffee bar. and had a lot to choose from. Pool area was clean, and pool room was kept around 86 degrees also water was warm and inviting in below 0 weather.
Sleep in is under new owners, and the new owners went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The back entrance door was broken, so it wasn't secure and that hallway smelled like urine. When we walked into our room, there was a chair in front of the bathroom that should have been on the other side of the room, and it looked like the cleaning hadn't been complete - the comforter had dirt on it and the floor wasn't vacuumed. The bathroom was mildewy, and had a broken toilet paper holder, a wall that needed repair, and a leaky faucet. However, the front desk staff was friendly and it was nice to have breakfast included.

This property functions for what we needed it for (overnight stay, shower, breakfast) at a very affordable price. Everything works; the staff is friendly and approachable. We didn't use the pool, but it was open. Breakfast was great! Full selection of hot breakfast and other good food, attentive service ready to refill. I was impressed with all those things. The only downside to this hotel is the physical upkeep - the carpets and appholstry are dirty, the hallways are very smelly (but the room wasn't!), counters are falling, towel hook was falling out of the wall - stuff like that. Nothing that detracted from our stay, but enough to knock a star off the rating. Everything worked (including the mini fridge and microwave), and we would stay there again.

It was an O.K. experience. The one employee I was very happy with was Dhavel. He checked us in and took care of many of the items that were dirty, not working, or improper. Dhavel was a very conscientious employee. Very respectful and cooperative. He helped us throughout our stay. I was very happy with Dhavel overall, however some of the items in our rooms needed repair or updating. Lots of rust in the sinks, bad lighting in the shower and dirty chairs (dog hair on them that were not cleaned) Safe not working properly. The side door that we entered thru several times during the stay was broken and you did not need your card to enter thru this door. It was always open so anyone could just pull the handle and come into the hotel. Many other items need repair and updating throughout the hotel. The swimming area needs painting as do the rooms. Lots of rust throughout our rooms along the ceiling where there were overhead lights. Someone needs to walk thru that hotel to clean it up as far as updating and painting.

Amenities are false there is no sauna the pool was cold they take your dirty towels do not give you new ones front desk is rude for two nights in a hotel room for two people we had half a roll of toilet paper had to beg for a roll and before we left we had no tissues no toilet paper and we're sharing a towel.

The pool was slimy and gross. The bathroom was nasty. Old shower with gunk all around the door of it. I myself had to clean it. Hair dryer came completely off the wall. Dust everywhere during our stay. They were doing remodeling while we were there. So it was noisy. The staff is wonderful they just need to do better cleaning.

Fast, friendly service at check-in. My husband commented that the carpet needs to be replaced on the third floor. Mattresses need to be replaced too. Great breakfast options. Our only big disappoint was that the pool was advertised as a indoor heated pool. It definitely was not heated.

The carpet in the hallways was coming loose and was extremely dirty. Carpet in the room was dirty but at least cleaner than the hallways. Was suspose to be non smoking and you clearly smell cigarette smoke. The staff did make you feel welcome.

The hallways were filthy! The carpet was disgustingly dirty and threadbare. There was trash in the hallways. The rooms were a little better. The bathroom was freshly painted. There was dried blood on the carpet in front of the sink. This place should be condemned.

Weird smell in room had to get candles and spray. Couches and floors covered and stains. Bathroom was dirty. Jetted tub had to be turned on with a toothbrush, after it ran black mold rested at the top of the water and bubbles. Bed was uncomfortable.

We checked in around 8pm last night, then left, and came back around midnight. We were all tired from traveling and visiting family, so couldn’t wait to jump in bed. I was horrified when I woke up this morning to find brown stains on our sheets, and red stains on the comforter. I didn’t tell the lady at the desk when we left, because she was busy. I guarantee that will be the last time we stay there. The halls and lobby looked dirty too.

The price was decent but I would’ve paid more for a cleaner room, unfortunately found 3 live bugs, one in the jacuzzi tub and 2 in fridge/near fridge. The jacuzzi tub was nice but dirty. Rooms need updated, moldy in bathroom ceiling, older curtains and carpet I believe, seemed older and didn’t feel that clean.

It was very warm inside. The room was dirty. Pieces of carpet cut up in square just laying on top of floor. The rest of carpet had stains. The bed sheets also had stains on them. Not clean at all. Did not stay here immediately asked for refund and went somewhere else.

I stayed here two years ago and was happy enough to book again but things have changed. My remote for the TV did not work so I tried using the buttons on the TV itself but it didn’t work either. The hot water wasn’t very hot and the A/C wasn’t very cold. The breakfast offered was meager to say the least and on the first morning there were no forks. My second visit found no fruit or pastry options. On my prior visit, a woman was keeping everything well stocked and hot. I don’t really mind the lack of maid service but the hallways were full of guests trash cans full of trash, not a good look in my opinion. When I arrived to check in, it was pouring rain but I couldn’t park under the awning because there was a group of workers grilling food. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable.

Low end hotel but clean bed and nice staff. Housekeeping does not care about their job and it shows. The bad: Me and my girlfriend got the jet tub room, the jet tub was filthy and my girlfriend ended up cleaning it herself. On top of that the tub didn’t work at first, the staff had to reset it for us and then it worked. The water pressure is awful, it took 30-40 minutes to fill the tub. The wallpaper was stapled to the wall and there were spots where it was just peeling, the fridge had a broken cup and liquid spilled inside, the tv remote only turned the tv on and off and didn't change the channel or volume, our room had a weird smell to it, we were on the 3rd floor and the window has no safety lock or screen on it, you could literally hang out of it if you want, the hotel lobby smells like cigarettes. The good: staff is very nice, hotel is in a safe area, hotel is right next to Meijers for any shopping needs, the price is decent for the area it is in, the bed was clean and no signs of bed bugs

We were given a room that said non-smoking but clearly smelled of smoke. We were given a new room right away, but then found out in the morning that the shower didn’t work. We went and talked to the front desk and they were able to get us into a room with a working shower. They did their best to fix items that came up, but it was a little frustrating to have to do all the things to just get a room that had all of the items we expect when you travel.

It's a "tired" hotel that is need of some upgrading (i.e. carpets are worn, window had toilet paper sealing up an air gap between panes). Staff at check-in were unsure about processes (insisted on making a photo-copy of guest driver's licences...bit of a security concern for me. Feel free to verify ID for credit card purposes but making an actual copy of ID to keep on file is concerning). The free breakfast was good and there is lots of parking.

Location was decent. Fairly close drive to big tourist spots. However the property was on the older side and would benefit from a remodel. Also alot of areas were dirty and run down. Could do with a very deep cleaning.

Decent hotel, I’m not fussy about things but the room we had just hadn’t been up kept- hole in carpet, areas in need of minor repair or replacement of wall paper etc. Room looked as if had sent for some time- dust, dirty window, just not good attention to cleanliness. Room was spacious and had a nice large bathroom with jacuzzi tub (which I chose to clean before use) Staff very friendly Location easy Price was great Pool Looked nice but we didn’t use Breakfast was not my thing- but basic choices- coffee was better than expected :) Overall just ok If they’d pay more attention to old fashioned cleaning would be better And some small simple updates or fixes would go a long way in making this a much better hotel.

Room was spacious and had a nice large bathroom with jacuzzi tub (which I chose to clean before use) Staff very friendly Location easy Price was great Pool Looked nice but we didn’t use Breakfast was not my thing- but basic choices- coffee was better than expected :) Overall just ok If they’d pay more attention to old fashioned cleaning would be better And some small simple updates or fixes would go a long way in making this a much better hotel.

Our room keys quit working two times during our 6 day stay. No fault of the hotel, but our neighbors were very noisy and the hotel staff was slow to respond. I will say that the hotel staff overall was pleasant and helpful, but I will look for a better option next time I stay in the area.

We were given a key to a room that was already occupied and walked while they were undesent and naked. Complained or surprised we didn't get jumped or attacked after walking in to their room. The only solutions was to give us anpther room Handicap and no shower other than a hose or shower head to hold. Tv also had to be fixed during our stay l Management didn't reimburse and apologize. Don't go to this place. No staff for room cleaning was the excuses.

Expedia and the hotel were not able to properly communicate my reservation. I had an Expedia confirmation number but the hotel had no record of my reservation. I even connected Expedia customer service with the hotel front desk staff and they couldn’t resolve the issue. After 30-40 minutes Expedia issued a refund.

Property is under new ownership. Previous manager Susan is still with the location and she has always been very kind and accommodating. I also was able to meet new Owner BP, and he was very accommodating as well. I appreciate that this hotel has an affordable nightly rate, pool, continental breakfast and overall a comfortable environment.

This property is right off the freeway. Would be nice to have a sign at the driveway back to the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is a bit dated, but clean. Otherwise a huge room with an equally huge bathroom. Great stay!

This property functions for what we needed it for (overnight stay, shower, breakfast) at a very affordable price. Everything works; the staff is friendly and approachable. We didn't use the pool, but it was open. Breakfast was great! Full selection of hot breakfast and other good food, attentive service ready to refill. I was impressed with all those things. The only downside to this hotel is the physical upkeep - the carpets and appholstry are dirty, the hallways are very smelly (but the room wasn't!), counters are falling, towel hook was falling out of the wall - stuff like that. Nothing that detracted from our stay, but enough to knock a star off the rating. Everything worked (including the mini fridge and microwave), and we would stay there again.

This property has gone downhill rapidly in the past 8 years. The first stay was excellent, we stayed 2 years ago and noticed decline. This time WOW There were black hairs in the shower wall when we checked in. The room was dingy and banged up. The breakfast was horrible. Sausage had an off taste and did not look fully cooked. No bagels or English muffins. No microwave for oatmeal. The water in coffee canister was not hot enough to make oatmeal. Milk for cereal not cold TV only got a few channels with a lot of buffering. In general I have noticed a decline in the Choice family of hotels and will stop staying there

The hotel is older and starting to show its age. While the staff is welcoming and friendly a closer look at the overall hotel shows signs of missed opportunities. Hallways not vacuumed daily, floors swept, but not mopped. The breakfast bar was minimal, with stale bread for toast. The desk chair in our room was peeling so badly that each time we sat in it we found pieces laying on the floor. The location was ideal for our visit, however without attention to detail it will be difficult to justify returning there in the foreseeable future.
