THIS is where we made memories. The home is exactly as represented; a cozy cabin in an idyllic setting. We came to see the wildlife and we were not disappointed. The cabin has a retro vibe with modern amenities. A step in time to a writer's cabin where looking out each window opened up the possibilities of what each day could bring: moose, eagles and immersion in local culture. It's close enough to town for a quick meal or ice cream outing yet far enough away to immerse yourself in the beauty of the nature and wilderness that makes Alaska unique. We read the home manual, and we were hooked- lots of local info and even dining suggestions. Everyone in town was exceptionally nice as well! This place truly lived up to our expectations. Thank you, Karl!

Pictures on line were not what we found. Upstairs bathroom had mold around the shower, flooring around showing was soft. Master bedroom had a blanket for one curtain, the other curtain had a hole in it that was closed by a safety pin. No TV, no form of entertainment. Could not go outside, weeds surrounded the back door and "firepit" area. After looking up the types of plants, one appeared to be type of plant that was bad if it was touched. There were boots and tools left on the front porch Side of the house had board missing. Definitely not worth the money that we spent to stay there.
