Magpie`s Nest, Nest in the Rockies

Excellent. The condo was exactly as marketed. The coffee machine was so good I barely ever bought coffee out. The windows and drapes could adjust so that I could be living above a physio and alcohol store and across from a grocery store and not see them only mountains. It was the best. Was quiet and convenient. Highly recommended

The property was everything we were looking for. We felt very at home here. Close to coffee shops, grocery/ liquor stores and within walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed grabbing our morning Starbucks and heading across the street straight into the trails. Every morning we awoke to beautiful mountain views. The only complaint I would have is that there was no ac. I will recommend this place to others.

Wonderful in location and cleanliness. The only addition would be A/C as I am a hot sleeper. The tan provided helped though. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Loved this beautiful condo. Perfect location in Canmore across from a grocery store and Tim’s and just a short walk to Main Street - we even found a little bridge over a creek to get us there. The condo had everything, and beds were very comfortable. So spacious and inviting with huge bathrooms that even included locally made toiletries. It was very nice to have a designated parking spot too. The fireplace was great after a cold rainy hike in Lake Louise, and an added perk was Netflix and ability to watch other streaming services. I highly recommend this condo, it has everything including maps and binders of things to do and how things worked. Would stay here again for sure! The hosts were very easy to work with and communication was exceptional. Probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with accommodations. Thank you!

This was a nicely appointed unit that had an amazing coffee machine and comfortable beds. Easy walk to grocery stores and restaurants. It is a bit of a noisier location, but after all the outdoor activities, it didn’t phase us.

The nest in the Rockies is exactly that! My husband and I and our great friends Kevin and Susan, came here to see Banff Park. We were up early, hiked most days and it was wonderful to come back to the nest, have a nice fire and dinner to doit again the next day! The kitchen was well stocked, laundry room we put to terrific use and the location fantastic! So convenient and beautiful. Will definately be back!

In town, grocery store across the street and walking distance to trails, shops, bars and restaurants. We used the BBQ on the deck, and this was the best view we ever had during a BBQ! We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Great location to downtown Canmore! Very clean, comfy mattresses, and enjoyed the espresso coffee maker! Could have used a few more kitchen utensils and a working air conditioner. Having windows open at night cooled things off, but the train noise was a little loud.

Overall we rate the property high. The location was excellent. There were dust bunnies under both beds which led to a lower cleanliness rating. We ran out of kleenex with no replacement in sight. Toilet paper short in supply too. We recognize it was warm weather during our stay but the air conditioner was inadequate. Both bedrooms were very warm for sleeping.

Conveniently, located in Canmore, everything in walking distance. Condo was well equipped and clean, with a great view of the mountains. Really enjoyed my stay.

We have stayed in this unit on two different occasions. It was excellent on each trip. The unit is clean and well stocked.

Property was convenient, well stocked, very clean, and comfortable. Host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We (4) stayed 4 nights and this Canmore house was a great home-base to visit Banff and surrounding areas. Only downside is if you are a light sleeper, the trains are loud and often.

We stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed the ease and accessibility of amenities of the town. Proximity of restaurants and shopping was fantastic. A well appointed two bedroom getaway. With a pet friendly location I would have more attention paid to the overall cleanliness of the main area floor and balcony area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 👍

The location was perfect for a relaxing week in the mountains. The convenience of shopping and areas for walking the dogs more than outweighed the slight inconvenience of the train noise. All of the extras in the kitchen made for a very " at home " experience and the espresso machine was a huge hit.

Canmore is a great place to stay - convenient to Banff NP but also vibrant by itself with nice restaurants and plenty of nearby trails and wildlife. Magpie’s Nest was nice; a basic 2 bedroom 2 bath space in a condo bldg close to restaurants and retail. Space was functional but a bit tight for our family. Place is well-stocked and owner was easy to communicate with.

Magpies Nest is a beautiful two bedroom condo. The bed mattresses weren’t to everyone’s liking. My eighty year old sister slept in a recliner. The kitchen was equipped with most essentials. It would have been nice to have an ice cream scoop and directions on how to use the fancy coffee machine. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Canmore! The condo/apartment had everything you could possibly need and if you forgot something, no worries! You are close to everything! The espresso machine was an added bonus! My husband and friend love their coffee and they said it was delicious. They condo was extremely clean and had one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in away from home. Canmore is an absolute delight! Excellent restaurants, shops and so much more and you are away from the rat race in downtown Banff. Don’t get me wrong visiting downtown Banff is wonderful but I would not want to deal with it everyday on vacation. This condo has great walking and riding paths surrounding it. There are excellent hikes just a couple of minutes up the road. There were Elk and wildlife all over. One day we went for a walk by the Bow River and there was an elk grazing and drinking right by us. I know people say Magpie’s nest can be noisy from the train, honestly I think I really only heard it once. Do NOT that deter you. The spectacular view of the mountains were breathtaking. A must do hike in my opinion while staying in Canmore is Grassi Lakes, it was absolutely magical. We did quite a few hikes everyday we were there and Banff National Park is only 15 minutes away, Lake Louise was maybe 40 away but the drive is filled with magnificent views you forget how much time has passed. We loved staying at Magpie’s Nest. The property was the perfect size for our family of four, and was clean and comfortable. Canmore is a lovely town and the condo was close to town center, allowing us to walk while exploring. Canmore is also a nice centralized location when exploring Banff and Yoho. We will be back. First off, this was the best property I have ever stayed at. It was very well stocked and having a full spice rack (maybe add cinnamon) was truly appreciated. It is one of those extras that I have never found at a property before and super appreciated. The beds were comfortable and bedding was incredible. The property was incredibly clean, access instructions were clear and the owner was super responsive to questions. Being able to bring our dog was a bonus as well to allow us to get away as a family. We all truly LOVED the Christmas decorations as well - so appreciated!!! The only downside would be parking - if only one vehicle then no issue but my daughter joined us later and had to park blocks away which in the cold was not ideal. Thank you so muchh for such a wonderful stay!!

Cant ask for much more from a last minute booking. They were accommodating for our party of 6 including a dog.

The property description is accurate, communication with the owner was excellent and always clear, and the actual location of the property for our vacation purposes could not have been better. We loved having grocery stores, other retail shops, and the downtown area within walking distance. Our days were spent out, as they should be in this area, and our evenings were in. This location has easy access to and from the highway leading into Banff National Park. We rented a car in Calgary and enjoyed our exclusive parking spot, just a few steps from the door. We enjoyed every minute of our time in Canmore and traveling around this region. The scenery is stunning and we recommend this property, which we will try to secure for a future visit.

J’ai apprécié la qualité de la batterie de cuisine. Les propriétaires ont la gentillesse de fournir le café et les produits Rocky Mountain pour se laver. Malgré les commentaires précédents, l’endroit est tranquille. Communication facile et rapide avec le propriétaire. Je le recommande fortement!

We stayed a week and has no issues. The location was perfect! Grocery store right on the other side of the parking lot. There is even a grocery cart available to use to get your supplies to your room. The elevator is a nice option to have after hours worth of hiking :). The area was quiet, safe and the host very responsive. All pros when staying here. I have no cons to report except I didn't want to come home :)

Great place to stay in Canmore. We were able to walk anywhere in the city we wanted to go and easily drive to access the 3 nearby ski resorts. Loved the condo, well equipped and clean. We’ve stayed in Banff and Canmore for skiing and I think we prefer staying in Canmore even though the drive is a little farther to the resorts. This is a great place for a couple or two to stay and access everything the area has to offer.

This is a unique apartment for two bedrooms, a living room with a folded sofa bed and a kitchen is well equipped for a comfortable living. It's clean, quite and walkable to the grocery shopping center. Four of us are very happy with it and we have introduced this property to our friends who are planning to visit Banff in the future.
