I chose to stay here as they have a rooftop hot tub. When I tried to use the hot tub the door was locked - and the front desk told me it had been out of service for a couple of weeks. At no time during booking was there any word said about this - and I didn't see any signs or notices anywhere on the premises. They did give me a 20% discount on the stay but it's pretty frustrating as if I had known I would have stayed elsewhere. The front desk tried to help and offered to let me use a hot tub at a different location - but that isn't very practical. Otherwise the room was very good and clean.

It was a great stay for a group of 5. The place was very clean when we arrived and didn’t have a problem with parking. The front desk staff was always attentive and helpful when we had questions the area is very walkable and safe. It is by a railroad so it gets loud every so often with the train passing by. It was also nice to have a rooftop hot tub to hang out in.

Great location, rooms are good only downside is they don't clean your room everyday. There is only 1 hot tub available for all the units which makes it highly inaccessible so please don't even consider it when you are making up your mind for booking this place.

We were disappointed by our stay here. Firstly, the smell inside the unit was very sharp and strong. Secondly, HOT TUB is IMPOSSIBLE to catch empty. A tiny hot tub is the only one for 30-40 units to share, so it’s always occupied. No relaxation there. Thirdly, the unit was pretty dirty and the rules of stay are too demanding. Parking stalls are so narrow that my brand new vehicle got 2 scratches on the side door.

We stayed two nights in the off season, good price and the place was clean and cozy, but a few issues. The hot tub was out of order (we only found out late at night after trying to use it and calling) and the bathroom fan didn’t seem to work, so the baseboards are peeling from humidity. Parking is super tight, especially for trucks, and we could hear everything from the unit above, they do leave earplugs tho. The bed felt small and the shower water never got very hot, though the water pressure was great. On the plus side, check-in was easy, the kitchen was nice, and it’s right across from Rocky Mountain Bagel Co. Overall, decent value for the price we paid, just some maintenance and comfort issues. We would’ve stayed somewhere else solely just for opportunity to have a hot tub with a view :(

I had a wonderful stay at Basecamp Resorts in Canmore! The location is fantastic — just a short walk to downtown Canmore with great access to trails, restaurants, and shops, making it perfect for both relaxation and adventure. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, complete with a full kitchen and comfortable living space, which felt just like a home away from home. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the views of the mountains from the property were simply breathtaking. I especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities and the overall cozy atmosphere. The sheets/pillowcases had lots of hair on them and were unclean when I arrived. I called the front desk and they were able to give me clean bedding. I specifically booked stay for the hot tub and wasn't told it was not working until the date I arrived and it wasn't fixed for the remainder of my trip (4 days/3 nights total). If I knew earlier I would have booked somewhere else. The train is right outside of the room and is VERY loud. They do provide ear plugs which is nice because they are definitely necessary if you want to sleep. I was on the bottom floor and the upstairs guests were quite loud during the evening and until around 1 am. Unlikely that I will stay here again. I have stayed at the Basecamp in Revelstoke and it was 10/10 amazing, the Canmore Basecamp was a completely different story.

The condo unit we were in seemed run down considering their fairly new(lots of scratch’s on the walls, showers had mold growing, baseboards missing paint through out the unit and major swelling in the bathrooms). In addition they are located next to train tracks which were very noisy all hours of the night. On a good note they were accommodating with allowing an extra vehicle for the night.

Rooms were not very clean, the microwave was gross. Spot cleaning the walls would be a good idea. Lots of baseboards that were wrecked. Parking was a pain when only one vehicle could park in the parking lot. Great location though.

Everything was great, until we laid on the bed. The best way to describe the mattress would be to compare it to concrete, or cobblestones. Hard hard hard. With a plush mattress, this property is a 5 star. As an aside, the a/c unit in the bedrooms is louder than a freight train. Lol.

Modern and clean studio room with everything you need for a short stay. Soundproofing in the building is great, so it was quiet despite being near the train tracks. Our pet friendly room was conveniently located and I love that there are no fees for pets, which means we’re repeat guests.

I will say this is a nice property, much better than a hotel. unfortunately with a few critical flaws....that if rectified would make it the best. First off there is NO AC! This is a requirement for visitor comfort! The room has a small, noisy, underpowered portable... second the building is cheaply made. I can hear EVERY footstep above. Third, there is no way to throttle the shower, so you run out of hot water in less than 3 or 4 minutes. The parking is very tight just FYI. Also the train track is 50 feet away and very loud when the train frequently goes by.

Great location. Very clean and safe property. Convenient for dining shopping centrally located place. I would recommend this property in Canmore if you’re traveling to Banff area, it’s only half hour away. The room size are bit smaller which is inconvenient. and no air conditioner or fan in the room but you don’t miss that as the weather is great over there. Overall it’s a pretty good place.

I had a wonderful stay at Basecamp Resorts in Canmore! The location is fantastic — just a short walk to downtown Canmore with great access to trails, restaurants, and shops, making it perfect for both relaxation and adventure. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, complete with a full kitchen and comfortable living space, which felt just like a home away from home. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the views of the mountains from the property were simply breathtaking. I especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities and the overall cozy atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Canmore!

On-site staff very attentive to the smallest of our needs, they were super helpful and helped us figure out issues that us old folk had issues with as in tv reception,, very impressed with their efforts,, our repeat business was earned for when we most definitely return! The booking and check in was so easy. The coffee provided was not what was mentioned in the email sent out and there were no towels at the hot tub. Our neighbors above were quite loud late into the night but obviously that isn’t the resorts fault. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great location to stay in Canmore, we had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious, very nicely furnished, clean and well equipped for a short or long stay. The only thing I would have liked was a little more storage for clothing in the bedroom. The resort was quick to reply to any queries before our stay and on check in the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, when we enquired about using Bear Spray, they gave us a canister for free that had been left by a previous customer, thankfully we didn't need it, so returned it when we left. There is also a fantastic restaurant across the road from the resort Blake Brewhouse and Distillery, highly recommend for food and drinks and Safeway Supermarket is a short drive away. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at Basecamp Resorts and would gladly stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Unfortunately, we had a number of issues during our stay - the lock on our door wouldn’t lock, another guest stole our assigned parking spot when we returned late one evening after attending a wedding, and the guests above our unit were very loud and hosted a party well into the night, during quiet hours. I do have to say that the staff was very responsive and helpful in resolving these issues quickly. That said, the units are not soundproofed enough, and we had to sleep with the A/C on the highest setting to try to drown out the sound coming from other units, including footsteps, furniture and objects moving and people coming and going using the metal stair cases for the upper units. Otherwise, having a kitchenette was great, and the unit was clean and had everything we needed. There is road work in the area that caused significant trafic right out front and made it somewhat difficult to navigate.

This was a perfect location for our family trip to Banff. The kitchen (and close proximity to Safeway!) allowed us to cook our meals and play board games in the evening, with just a short trip into the park to visit each day. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the unit was well stocked with amenities. The bed was comfortable. My only nitpick is that it would have been nice to have a small table or drawers to better arrange clothes in the rooms.

Great central location with walking paths all around. I would still recommend having a rental car to get around. Room was clean and a good size for a family of 4. Room was equipped with kitchen and full size fridge and stove. Parking was in back and somewhat tight also had to contend with Bagel shop next door and coming back to find a car parked in your "reserved" spot.

I really enjoyed the resort, the room was great and just enough for my staying. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking your meals before heating to the mountain, they provide a laundry pod so no need to worry about washing your clothes. The resort is closed by shopping centre, grocery, pharmacy and restaurants and only 20 min away from Banff. My only complaint will be the side of the parking lot as it is small and there is no much space between cars, my neighbours didn’t know the proper way to parked and I always have trouble getting in and out of the car, but is good that they have a parking spot for each room so don’t need to worry about not finding spaces after your long day. Beside that I highly recommended this resort

We love staying at Basecamp Resorts! Having a kitchen is such a bonus when staying out in the mountains. The BBQ is a nice plus too. There are also tons of restaurants that are walkable! The rooftop hot tub has an incredible view. I only would just recommend that if you're a light sleeper to be comfortable with wearing earplugs since the train tracks are directly behind the hotel. It's not a problem for us but it might be for some. We always enjoy our stay!

We really enjoyed our time at Basecamp. The accommodations worked well having 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen. The bbqs outside were great and the location was in close proximity to groceries and coffee. The train was unexpectedly loud at night and because the ac wasn’t installed yet, it made it tough at nights. Even with windows closed. Basecamp supplies earplugs but if you have noise cancelling I would suggest bringing them or requesting a room at the road side. Overall I think the pricing of the room was totally fair. Everything else has been great！The location is very convenient！We booked the room for six people, and the booking indicated that it could accommodate six guests. However, there were only two blankets available. We looked around but couldn’t find any extra blankets. It was already very late and we were too tired, so we had no choice but to go to sleep.

The micro suite was ridiculously small. Definitely mot big enough for 2 people. The coffee and french press was great. It was also very noisy. The parking spaces are VERY small.
