We booked 4 nights in august. This booking was extremely expensive for what we got. Very old room, the door lock didn’t work from the inside, the door key failed 3 out of 4 days, there was no ironing board nor a safe or any kind of basic amenities apart from the hand sopa and shower sh/cream/soap. There’s a microwave but all the cups were in single use paper or plastic that could not go to the microwave, so we had no way to heat whatever we would buy, unless we would buy ceramic dishes and cups! The tub still uses a curtain (yuk). The pool had a lot of green mold. One of the worst hotels we’ve been and one of the most expensive. The breakfast did save us some money, but very basic and coffee was watery. Positive points: the hand soap is from a local company and smell amazing! Also, they rent bear spray free of charge at the reception.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at the Pocaterra Hotel in Canmore while I was in town for a wedding. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again. The amenities were excellent, and the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and informative throughout my stay. The pool and hot tub were particular highlights, especially after long days and a busy wedding weekend—it was so nice to have a place to relax and unwind. I also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the evening snacks. Those little extras made the stay feel welcoming and added to the overall experience. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was comfortable and inviting. The parking lot could be a little awkward to navigate at times, but I was very grateful that parking was available. Despite the construction happening in the area during my stay, getting around on foot was still convenient and easy, which was a definite plus. Between the helpful staff, great amenities, relaxing pool and hot tub, breakfast, evening snacks, and convenient location, the Pocaterra Hotel made for a great home base during my stay in Canmore. I would absolutely stay here again and would happily recommend it to others visiting the area.

Love they use wood floor instead of carpet. The room was clean and spacious with new deco. However, the bathroom could really use some reno. The shower curtain was ripped. They provided the most vareity for free breakfast among the hotels we stayed in. The waterslide was a nice touch for the kids.
