Sturbridge Host Hotel And Conference Center

We stayed at this hotel for many years going to the Brimfield Flea. We hadn’t gone for a few years and decided to go this year. The hotel is in disrepair. Front desk people were very nice and helpful but that’s the only upside. We heard that the hotel is up for sale. The fact that it has lake front would be a great if someone would spend the money to upgrade this hotel. Le

Outdated property. Windows need a cleaning throughout. May have been nice at 1 time. Vacant "Tavern" on the property. The grounds are very pretty but the courtyard is not. Some rooms have sliders to the indoor pool area? Guests rolling their suitcases on the brick floor sounds like a plane coming in for a landing. Not on my list for another stay..

Don’t stay here. I repeat. Do not stay here. We walked in to a vacant lobby. Our room was across from the pool, which was still and dirty. I asked for another room, on the second floor. The woman at the front desk accommodated us, as there was no one there. We lugged our stuff to the second floor, which ended up being on the farthest end of the building. It gave us a much better look at the property. Our room had no heat and had a perfect view of the dock that was underwater. We packed our things and booked another hotel in the area. The woman at the front desk understood and was nothing but kind. This place has completely given up and should shut its doors. There was one other person in the hotel, who looked like he may have been “maintenance.” It seemed as though he lived there and when we walked by his room, he came out and was on his phone, looking like he was taking pictures. I can not emphasize how bizarre this whole experience is. I was in a rush and didn’t read the reviews. Don’t make my mistake.

The staff is so great

This place is completely run down. Broken bed. Smal pillows for a king bed. Staff couldn.t help with a better location even with nobody there. Place is dark and dirty
