Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando-Maitland

The hotel was under renovation so everything was dirty. I was put in the farthest room from the lobby with sheetrock crumbles all over the floor on the long walk to my room. I was told that I could park my car in back and use my key to enter through the back door. Twice I went to get a new key because the door wouldn't open. Each time they gave me a key, it still didn't work. One of the employees told me I could put a rock in the door to keep it open. A roach also crawled across the sink in my bedroom in the morning. The bed squeaked and I had two lamps that didn't work in my room. Never again will I stay here.

I had no problem until I received a $10 charge for self-parking.

Nice place to stay and nice breakfast

The property needs an update and good cleaning overall. Breakfast items weren’t replenished in a timely manner. Staff was friendly, however and check in and out was easy.

Loved the view of the lake/nature preserve. Room was nice and comfortable, didn’t use the pool but it looked well maintained.
