A nice secluded location away from the hustle and bustle of Miami. We arrived a couple of days before a cruise and it was a great way to get into vacation mode and start relaxing. Plus just a short ride to the cruise terminal. Also it was close enough we went to both Biscayne and Everglades National Parks. The adult pool was a nice separate area away from the main pool. Service at the pool was good which I have found lacking at other resorts. We tried several of the restaurants and enjoyed them all. Be sure to stop at the Rum Bar. I loved the 3 one ounce rum tasting options. Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and seeing the ocean. The full moon rising over the waves was a photo opportunity not to be missed. If I had to come up with a negative plot would be how narrow the beach was. Can’t really blame the hotel for that though. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

Decor is dated. Apparently renovating next year. One elevator was inoperable the whole 4 days we were there. Monday night there was only 1 restaurant open for dinner. They charged for use of tennis courts.

Expect to pay for everything! Honestly, Expedia should absolutely list both the $50 per day for parking and $50 per day resort fee in their listing for this hotel. In addition, if you want to do anything or sign your kids up for anything - all starting at about $50 per kid. Food was good but also expensive ($200 for a family of 4 for burgers on the beach). While staff and personnel are lovely and friendly, helpful and overall a 5 out of 5, the fact that you pay for everything just gets old quickly. There is nothing included in your hotel room price, including apparently even your toiletries which the hotel says you will be charged for should you choose to take them home as a memento for a whopping $50 per item!!! Wow! For a five star hotel in a very expensive area, you’d think the game room and teen room would be updated, clean, beautiful areas for kids. They were an afterthought at best, with old equipment in old converted rooms with little to no space and dated equipment. Arcade games were ancient or broken with random broken furniture and old stained carpets. Just don’t have a game room if that’s what you’re going to offer. It was gross honestly. The beach is tiny, full of seaweed and there is a lot of garbage. The nicer beaches are either over by the lighthouse or just off the Ritz’s beach. While we generally enjoy the beaches wherever we go we avoided this one. Not to mention it was full, full, full. The pros: good food, great staff, nice location. The cons: overpriced

This place is incredible. Service outstanding, place is beautiful and on the beach. It has all the amenities you would expect from a top hotel. But clearly a case of you get what you pay for. And you will be paying a lot of money for everything - $50 parking, $48 Resort Fee, expensive meals. So if you got the big bucks - go treat yourself!

this is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. The staff is wonderful and ready to accommodate anything that you need. The walk to the beach is so short, and I love the fact that there is an adult only and children’s pool. There’s an amazing coffee bar for custom drinks. The location is a quick ride to the Brickell area where there’s a many amazing restaurants and shopping. I will continue to stay at this property. My only complaint is the food overall is not as good as the coconut Grove, Ritz Carlton, which is where we also stay frequently because we have a child that attends the university of Miami aside from the room service and pool and beach menu being not quite as good as coconut Grove and South Beach properties. I would say it’s a perfect resort and I’m being super critical because I would give the food a seven or eight it is not terrible. I just enjoy the options the menus at the other properties better Isabel’s at the Coconut Grove Ritz Carlton is hands-down our favorite. it is also definitely very difficult to get service on the beach. I did have to chase down the server who was lovely and there was only one person working the entire beach and again I’m being super critical because at $1000 plus a night you’re just looking for superior service. Overall, I would still give this property at 10 you cannot beat the location. The staff the access to a beautiful picture perfect beach and two amazing pools. We will definitely stay after the renovation is complete.

I am in love with this property and everyone that works there is wonderful. The only comment I have is they need new towels by the pool. They were frayed on the edges and many fresh towels had stains on them. My only flaw on the property.

First, I want to thank Jesus at the front desk who was amazing! The hotel is beautiful and all staff are extremely friendly. I loved the pool, bed, room, and balcony. The beach is long but not wide. Still amazing!

I’ve been to this property 4 times. The staff is always excellent and I love the food options. The tennis staff is amazing. The main lobby is beautiful. It looks like the rooms and some of the spaces could use and update as they are a little tired.

The hotel and the ambiance is ritzy with a Cuban flare. It is a little relaxing paradise away from the lively city of Miami and still near if you want to go for a day or night trip where there is plenty to do. Locally renting a bike and exploring the island was very relaxing. If you want to enjoy get either an ocean view or bay view room. The resort view although has a partial view of the beach and the building next door the balcony could be noisy by the cooling fan that are on the roof top on the right side of the building.the staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The beach had a lot of seaweed although they try hard to clean it it was impossible. The sea weed is seasonal. We enjoy the long walks on the sand and the pool were very nice so we spent most of the day there. The beach guys are a great team and accommodating

Extremely dissapointing for a 5 start hotel ! Old and awfull mattresses ! Like sleeping in a bed with 2 enormous holes ! Mattresses must be 20 years old Awful Internet is slow and awful Netflix wont work No coffee maker in the room ! It's like a 3 star hotel.......very dissapointing Breakfast is dissapoiting as well with a 3 star room , furniture that is outdated and food that is common Dinner overrated and not good we stayed only 1 night and moved Outdated Expensive Not worth it

Excellent hotel and location. Would stay there again. Only issue is the last night of our stay the air conditioning system was making lots of noise so we were forced to shut it off and sleep without AC for the night.

The front desk clerk at the check in was kind of rude and not friendly at all. I asked about the club access and was told that it was not included. I advised that I spoke with Margeret in reservations prior to check who confirmed it to be part of the deal. She shrugged her shoulders and handed me the keys. She did not offer directions to the room or told me anything about the resort amenities at all! I am surprised how professionally unavailable your staff member is.

While i was happy with my stay, i was somewhat disappointed that the “gold standards of service” that i was always so impressed by was lacking. In every situation of walking throughout the hotel property I was always the one asking for assistance. And while i did get my answers (of service) i felt as if i was taking the employee away from something they would rather do. Upon leaving the hotel I was actually forced to go back and open the door for my wife as the “bellman” was standing at his podium reading something. When i asked for an extended check out - the young person types away and finally said “the best i can do for you is 2”. There was no question from her about our stay or if there was anything else she could do to make our stay better. With all of these little things - i can survive (at other hotels) but the reason why we chose the Rirz was due to their higher customer centric services. The only thing that made us believe we were at a higher end hotel was the prices for everything!

This property is no longer Ritz level pr anywhere near it. Some of the staff were even RUDE, and it has the ammenities and service level of a DoubleTree. Very very poor.

The property is just beautiful. The staff is very professional, friendly and helpful. The lunch at the Mexican restaurant was phenomenal. The best quesadillas I’ve ever had!

Probably the most friendly staff Ive ever interacted with in any hotel. There were some staff that spoke no english in some of the more simple positions but all were very friendly and helpful. It was an expensive stay but that was expected. A decent amount of shopping and restaurant options on hotel property. The beach was messy from a recent storm I believe but the water was a comfortable temperature. The food and drinks were really good.
