DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco South Airport Blvd

Hotel clean and recently rennovated. Great happy hour drink special. Restaurant on site. Limited restaurants/stores near by. Area not great for walkers. Shuttle to SFO runs only every 40-45 mins so need to plan ahead.

I was there for 6 nights beginning on the 1st Oct 2024 to the 6th of Oct 2024. Of the two elevators one was not in operation on Oct.1. when I arrived, and was inoperable for thw whole time I was there.In addition on the evening Oct 6 (Sunday))at around 5:30 pm the second elevator was also out of order and could not be used. I together with all other guests had to use the stairs. In my case I had to trek up to the 5th floor. There was no one in charge of the situation, when I complained to the staff at the front desk they were very apologetic, however they seemed helpless. The management staff was nowheere to be found. I had a very early morning flight to catch the next morning. I had two large bags that needed to be carried and I was not going to take any chances. So I got back to the desk and wanted to speak to the manager in charge. I was told he was not due to be there until 11:00 pm. At this point I insisted that my bags be brought down and left at the desk for me to leave the next morning. The upper management of this hotel are the most incompetent fools ever. They should be sent back to school, if they are capable of learning at all. Betram Fuller Carrised my two bags from my room to the front desk. Bertram is a good man, he was ver considerate and understood my situation. Taking all this into account nothing short of a full refund for the last night of my stay will satify me. In fact when I get the time I will write to the General manager.

There was a consistent humming noise that made it difficult to sleep, some sort of machinery related to hotel function. Tons, literally tons of rats in the back parking lot and their loading dock. Although conveniently located, it did not provide the rest we were looking for before our early morning flight out of SFO.

The shuttle service needs to be more frequent. After a long flight and drive we had to wait at the airport pick up for 1 hour and 1/2. Otherwise, the hotel met all good standards

They should not get to list shuttle services as amenity unless they specify in description (they do not at Hotels.con or on their own site) that there are limited hours of service. Our flight got delayed in Baltimore and we missed the last shuttle, which unreasonably stops at 10:30pm for an airport service. One guy working the late shift and he didn’t answer the phone for anyone calling—not me, not another passenger, not even the Hilton rep who we called to try and get us a shuttle. Anyone coming a flight at night should know not to choose this hotel. The other DoubleTree in Burlingame had their shuttle come four times in the span of us trying to figure the shuttle issue. It’s not cool to promise a vital service as an airport hotel and then limit it.

The hotel itself was great but the shuttle from the airport took over an 1 hour and 40 min to get me. All of the other shuttles came 3x as many times.

Charged for parking space on property

Just a heads-up for anyone planning to stay here: the shuttle bus only comes every 45 minutes and it’s shared with the Holiday Inn (373 S Airport Blvd). The bus has a big Holiday Inn logo and the DoubleTree logo is really small, so it’s easy to miss. No one told us about this, not the shuttle schedule the hotel sent, not the airport signs, not even the driver. We ended up waiting more than two hours late at night before realizing what was going on and barely caught the last shuttle. Make sure you double check shuttle details with the hotel beforehand.

Hallways were dirty and smelt. Elevators were shaky. And rats in parking lot.

The hotel didn’t have amenities and the WiFi was down. The lobby was nice, the carpet in the hallways were a bit run down, but the room was newly renovated, clean and modern. The shower was large. They offer a shuttle to the airport while is nice. The biggest thing is the WiFi was down, and when I booked I thought I booked the other location which qas near by so this location didn’t have spa, Hottub and pool.

We arrived 3 hours after our room was to be available for check-in and they didn't have our room and gave us an inferior room without a discount/reduced price or even an apology. The girl at the front was incredibly rude and the whole process was horrible. The room we had was missing baseboards in the bathroom and towels were stained. Stay away from this hotel.

Stay was ok- bathroom had a little black mold along the outside corner of the shower.

Insects kept getting into my room - very disgusting. Otherwise plain, bland Hotel room.

Arrived late in the night, parking near the entrance is scarce so had to park on one of te hotel sides. The entire walk from the car to the entrance all I could see was hordes and hordes of large grey rats roaming the parking lot and on the narrow landscaping between the hotel building and the parking lot. While room was relatively clean, the area where the elevator lets off was filthy, the windows where stained had definitely not been cleaned in years.

My room was very dated and felt like an old motel. There were whisker hairs in my sink from the previous customer.

The property is in great conditions and very clean. Rooms are big and very comfortable. Great location only minutes from the airport and has very convenient free shuttle.

Located next to the freeway, the only food option nearby aside from the hotel’s restaurant is IHOP. Front desk were not friendly, both on the phone and in person. They talked so fast as if there were a line of customers waiting when in fact I was the only one there checking in. The room itself is fine, there was a clump of hair in the bathroom that wasn’t mine, but for one night stay it was average.

Chose this location because we had an early flight out of SFO. Having stayed at multiple Doubletrees over the years, we expected our stay to be exceptional; unfortunately that was not the case. Our room was 80 degrees when we arrived and it took 8 hours for the temperature to even drop to 75 degrees. The shower was lukewarm at best. The decor was dated and our room was very dark. Would not choose to stay here again.

The hotel was fine but the lighting in the room was quite dim. All the lamps were low powered, and there was no lamp on the desk.

Nothing works in room #254. The water barely comes out in the shower, sink water is barely hot, AC/heat sounds like an old car breaking down. There are light bulbs missing in the lamps.

Not well-lit . . .there was more light in the bathroom area than near the bed for reading. In coming in the door, there is one switch which lights the light right at the entry way, but didn't light any of the lamps in the unit. Couldn't find any switch in the dark. Had to find my way across the room to get to a lamp in the corner and then try to find the on/off switch. Shower - only 1 grab bar on the far side of the shower. faucet handle . . no indication of hot/cold setting; because it took quite a while for the water to get to the 3rd floor unit, it took quite a while/bit of experimenting to test if the hot water was on. A/C - n/a, bar - n/a

My room was next to washing room where washing machines ran till 10 pm at night. Machines were noisy.

I often stay here when I visit SF. This is the first time I stay in the north part of the hotel. Room was average and a little noisy.

I’m less than impressed, especially with how good past doubletree stays have been. Almost no lighting in the room with several of the lights burnt out. When I tried to see if the bulb was unscrewed, I noticed the lamp was sticky. Also the TV didn’t work and the door looked like someone had recently forced entry into the room. Not what I’d expect from a four star hotel.

Rooms have TVs whose connections sometimes don’t work at all. Room lighting is terrible — very dark. We had to use flashlights to see in luggage even with all the room lights on. Hotel restaurant was pricey and food was not great.

The cleaning person did not even knock, opened our door at 9 AM the morning of our checkout, as I was standing there with no pants on brushing my teeth, and once I asked them to shut the door, but she kept asking me what my checkout date was. I had to ask her multiple times to shut the door.

Friendly, welcoming front desk. We arrived very late after flight delays. Check in went very smoothly.

Room 231 - There was a consent noise, like an AC unit coming on and off all day and night. I had to repeatedly ask for 2 of my rooms to be turned over, they missed 2 of the 3 nights. I saw several rats on the north side of the building. Managers did not return my calls. The walls were very thin, as I could hear the extracurricular activity of the couple across the hall. Friday afternoon's front desk receptionist had major attitude.

Some of the front desk reception is gave us attitude, and we thought our room got broken into because the cleaning people left our door wide open, and only cleaned up half the room and left the other half a mess after we told them not to even come in from the first place

Room was great. Had an issue between the hotel and hotels.com and the hotel canceled my reservation. Manager J.S. Was extremely rude trying to get this corrected. In the end he found himself in the wrong when hotels.com still showed my reservation active. Instead of apologizing or being professional, he left me on hold, hung up several times, raised his voice, and cut me off, acting much like a teenage boy. He is definitely not cut out for this line of work. Thank you hotels.com for correcting this issue.

Our hotel shuttle from the airport was terrible. We called five times and waited an hour and a half. When we finally arrived and told the staff about our experience, they could have cared less. We received no apology or compensation.

We needed a hotel near the airport. This was a perfect location and offered a free shuttle. On site restaurant but also eating opportunities within a relatively short walking distance.

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient location

We had a great stay at this Hilton hotel near San Francisco Airport. The location is very convenient, and the shuttle bus service was punctual and reliable. The front desk staff — especially the ladies — were very friendly and welcoming. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for an overnight stay near the airport.

Cleanliness and staff were great. We didn’t encounter anything unsafe. Only thing was we could hear the flights taking off and landing as it’s near the airport and there were not much amenities near by.

We stayed here after our flight was cancelled. It was reasonably close to the airport with a free shuttle. This made it super easy for us to get there and trip around on the BART into the city. Very clean, lovely staff and great breakfast.

Clean room, friendly staff, transportation to airport was on time and friendly. The area around the hotel is a little chaotic and not much to walk to.

Our room was very spacious and clean. The staff was great, the restaurant/bar’s food was excellent. The location was perfect and the shuttle service to the airport was a bonus. I’d definitely stay there again.

It was great super comfortable and clean friendly staff loved it! Only thing was I paid for breakfast on hotels.com but breakfast wasn’t included with our stay it was a separate by plate charge, other then that it was a great place!

We chose the property because of the airport shuttle. The front desk staff was not friendly No food near the hotel. Only McDonald’s and IHOP Hotel restaurant overpriced. There should be a buffet breakfast option. Or more self serve options. The market area with some takeaway options was very limited

The bedding was very nice. A folding suitcase holder would’ve been helpful instead of the immobile wooden box in the closet. Awkward to use and inconvenient. There was limited counter space in bathroom and no place to hang clothes. The dinner was overpriced for the quality but breakfast was very good and reasonable price. The music at breakfast was the worst jazz music, and too loud, there is so much good jazz out there why play this? Try smooth jazz at breakfast.

The breakfast started after the plane departure time. Being that close to the airport, an early breakfast time would be a major convivence and save customers the high price food at the airport. I did not like that the hotel didn't have carpet flooring. The toilet area was very small.. There was no complimentary coffee in the lobby.

Everything was very good. Service, comfort and food.

Great value for the costs. Room was nice and clean and the staff helpful. My favorite was the breakfast. Great taste and overall great experience.

When you book through Expedia no Hilton member point count and they treated differently. No buffet breakfast, and they charge lot for one item.

Our room was at the end of a hole and the layout, particularly getting into the bathroom, was very strange. The restaurant was very enjoyable, and the staff was great. Mary was our server for dinner and she was very kind, efficient and nice to be with. Filiberto was our server for breakfast and he was wonderful! The shuttle Was on time and very convenient.
