Hidden Parking Fees & Poor Service Just checked into Best Western Hotel Circle and was shocked to find out parking isn’t included — and no one mentioned it at check-in. I only found out after overhearing guests talk about warnings on their cars. When I asked, I was told “It’s a third party, we don’t handle it.” That’s not acceptable — if you’re going to tow cars, guests need to be clearly informed. Expedia said parking was $19/night, but the posted sign charges $22 per 12 hours — more than double. When I called the front desk, the manager said to “pay it, move your car to the street, or risk being towed.” No apology, no accountability, no solution. Whether it’s a third party or not, Best Western should be transparent and take responsibility for guest experience. Very disappointing.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was really good and we liked the choices! My three kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was conveniently located off the freeway, which made it easy for getting around. We will definitely be staying here next time we come to San Diego.

I liked the fast check in/out process. The pool and hot tub hours were perfect for late swimming and relaxing. I didn’t like the lack of equipment at the gym. Breakfast was good.

Older hotel located very close to airport, zoo, and sea world. Stayed in room 336 and was able to see fireworks shooting from Sea World every night. Rooms are smaller than how we interpreted by photos. Parking is $26 a night and found out about this added cost upon check in. Other than that, our stay was enjoyable and we made good use of the morning breakfast and pool.

The pool and hot tub were clean and well cared for. Our rooms were not the cleanest upon arrival (there was a used bandaid on the bed) and the outlets and plug in’s were not up to date with USB, etc. The lobby was updated and clean, but as soon as you step into the elevator and into the halls and rooms, you can feel the age. The staff was super awesome though and helped us whenever needed and even helped us upgrade our room upon arrival as we needed more space.

Friendly, helpful staff. Internet was unavailable for first 2 days which was an inconvenience. Hotel could use a refresh but bed was comfortable, shower was hot. Breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary but nice to have a coffee and muffin to start the day.

The room was gross. Cockroaches in the bathroom, stained carpets, clogged sink, gross mattresses, area around the hotel is not safe, charges 20 or 25 (cant remember the exact amount) for parking per day, horrible breakfast and heavy pot use at the property making it smell bad.

Unfortunately, the room wasnt as clean as I would expect. The tub had dirty streaks when we initially turned on the shower, when we got the room there was less than half a toilet paper roll and no extra??? Also the worst part is not noticing the bedding & sheets were stained until we were getting ready to leave. I would not be staying here again or recommending it.

When we arrived around 1pm just to tell the receptionist we had a reservation for two nights, he told us our room hasn't been cleaned yet. It was fine since it wasn't the check-in time yet. However, when we got to the room after 4pm, the room definitely has not been cleaned. The fridge had little crumb-like stuff on the bottom half inside. I ended up using my own sanitizing wet wipes to clean the inside and the outside. The microwave also had stains on the side. The living room table in front of the couch was chipped off on the corner. The window in the bedroom was not clean. There were many stains on the bottom part. The window in the living room could not close. When we tried to turn on the lamp in the bedroom, it did not work. I checked to see if it was plugged in after I moved the lamp desk away from the wall. It was not plugged in. Of course, I plugged it in for it to work. The bathtub drainage didn't work unless we pulled out the drainage part. Another thing is, I felt itchy right after entering the room. There is banging from all sides of the walls, including the ceiling. Even the Best Western from Plus Bayside on Ash Street isn't this bad. It was not bad at all. Thia location also didn't have any stores closeby.

The staff was friendly, the hotel is simple but clean and the housekeeping was cleaning every day in the room. The parking lot is too tight even for the sedan. I mean the covered parking. Breakfast was good, we liked it . I can say that in general we loved the stay at Best Western .

From someone who is alway looking for the best within a budget and ALWAYS doing my research here is my honest upfront review. I did find some bad reviews for this place but also some great ones, so I decided to give it a chance. We had a wonderful stay over all, I got a standard 2 queen with a sofa bed, the room was surprisingly very big and spacious which I was very happy about because most hotels aren’t like that nor many hotels offer a sofa bed nowadays, which was very beneficial. The hotel itself was nice and the room was very clean. The two employees at the desk were also very kind and accommodating with any situation that I brought to them, as well as the cleaning staff. Breakfast was included and is on the fourth floor, which I thought was a bit strange, but that is beside the point. Breakfast included cereal, yogurt, granola, muffins, apples, oranges, pancakes(one day), waffles(the next), scrambled eggs, toast, coffee, and a variety of juices. All in all, I will rate it a 9/10 and my only reason for that is because of the windows in the hotel aren’t fully sealed so they kind of sound like the window is open and unfortunately, we were on the side where the freeway was so it was a little bit loud, but not terrible we were still able to get rest. And secondly, parking was an additional $20 a day on property which was limited if you didn’t get there early. BUT there is parking on the street but because it was Comic-con weekend it made that impossible to do.

The hotel’s breakfast was average. The gym barely had any equipment , but the pool was alright and the beds were good. I was able to rest even though the windows/hotel are right next to a highway; you can hear the noise. The hotel offers ear plugs if you need them though. The overnight parking fee was pretty expensive too.

The hotel was not at all what we expected. The beds were not at all comfortable and the room is so close to the freeway. The loud freeway noise was all we could hear, even over our sound machine. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind, but we cut our three nights to just one night because the room just wasn’t convenient or comfortable.

Typical Best Western, with comfortable beds and a very good breakfast. Easy to get to location with a lot of nearby attractions. However, the wifi was non-existent in our room, or hallway for that matter. Also, the freeway noise was very loud, even with the window closed. So, if you get a room facing the freeway, expect to be woken up a lot during your evening.

Our family stayed in a suite facing the pool. Location is really close to the freeway so I can see how some rooms can be noisy, however our room was fine with the sliding living room door shut. Rooms are a little dated but otherwise clean. Beds were comfortable. Daily breakfast was fine, nothing spectacular but your usual eggs, toast, cereal, waffle or pancakes. Pool and hot tub were clean and kids enjoyed it daily, although small. Overall location is convenient for access to SeaWorld/zoo but not in a location you would walk around. We enjoyed our stay

The couch in the king suite had stains on it as did the carpet. There was a pair of underwear behind our king bed. It was noisy with traffic and people. The mattress on the couch pull-out was horrid and basically just a mat with springs. Called guest services to ask for more towels and they said they would bring some up. An hour later, no towels and we had to go get them ourselves. Our room was only cleaned on our first day. Convenient location to Old Town and the freeway. But I would not recommend it.

The manager, Jessica , and Ashley made my family and I feel very welcome and comfortable and super friendly, once you stay there once you will not want to book any other place! It was a terrible experience. We arrived at the hotel only to be told that all rooms were sold out—there was no room for us! We had reserved two rooms and paid in full, yet there was nothing available. We were traveling with seniors and a young child, and suddenly had nowhere to stay despite having made a proper reservation and payment. There was no explanation, no apology. The staff just kept repeating, 'All rooms are sold out.' They could not—or refused to—offer any assistance. Absolutely terrible! I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. I've never heard of any hotel canceling a paid reservation without notifying the guest, and no one should ever experience that.

Very welcoming upon arrival the lady who checked us in was amazing, but the TVs kept turning off because of wiring (management stated), the toilets then kept getting clogged , then the rain caused a leak in the window seal manager then forgot about us, after promising us to move rooms also offered a discount from the car but upon check out said the notes didn't state that but management wasn't on property during our check out time

We were greeted immediately with a hello and smile from an employee just walking across the lobby, then again at the front desk. The front desk was kind and patient explaining to us where to park and where our room was. I am soory I didn't get her name. She deserves a shout out. The rooms were very clean, spacious with beds that as soon as I laid on it automatically said ahh. Very comfortable. The breakfast was like you would expect from a free hotel continental breakfast. With that said, I do have to mention the food was fresh, tasty, had great hours, coffee was good. There was always someone there, refilling, cleaning up and again was very nice. I would absolutely stay there again.

I would like to share my honest experience to help improve this hotel’s service. I stayed here for three nights, and unfortunately, the room was not in good condition. The shower lock was broken, and on the first day, the room key system didn’t work due to a key activation issue. The room was also very noisy since it was right beside the freeway, making it difficult to sleep. During my stay, I requested room service each day, but housekeeping only made the bed without replacing towels or refreshing any items. Another concern was the deposit process no receipt was provided when I paid, and as of now, I still haven’t received my deposit back. I hope management reviews these issues and improves the hotel’s service and communication for future guests.

No places to eat within walking distance , hey have a list of restaurants with addresses of places … stay away from anything that gets you down in the east village …. Cause damn. Best advice stay on the hotel circle service road and head to the mall lots of places to eat within a quick 5 minute drive .

The elevator had a big dip that i kept tripping on. They didnt tell me they charged for parking, i noticed it later when I got home. The breakfast was the same everyday. But its free so meh. Just wish they had more options. It was what looked like tukey sausage , scrambled eggs and potatos. Also they had waffles but tbey were soft. I think they had a couple fruit options and some toast and maybe oatmeal. Again it was free but inwish they had different options daily. It was really loud there. I thought the windows were open cause of how loud it was outside. Also cause we were right next to the elevator it was loud all day and night. Also very loud early in the morning with screaming kids cause we were also next to the breakfast area. Dont stay in room 425. Also i slept maybe 2 hrs a night. The beds were not the best but doable. But what really sucked was the hard flat pillows. I was absolutely miserable

Good customer service. Strategic location near SeaWorld in San Diego. Getting a seat at the breakfast place is quite a challenge with so many guests during the holiday season. It's good the hotel provides information to avoid crowds for breakfast.

The breakfast buffet was great. The food was hot and there were many food options like eggs, cereal, potatoes, and waffles and pancakes a there was something everyone liked. The beds were incredibly comfortable also. I slept better in this hotel than at home. The only issue I had with this hotel is the parking. They charge you $20 for 12 hours to park which is absolutely insane. We were only staying for two days but we’re looking at spending $150 on parking. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that charged that much for parking. We opted to park on the street instead. This did however make unpaid and loading the car with luggage a bit of a challenge. Other than the parking, everything else was pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.

The metal shower caddies were rusted. The tile in shower was pink it looked like it was not scrubbed well. The Clerk at the front was polite and friendly. At check in and check out. The breakfast was okay, it was basic.
