The no cost light dinner Monday thru Wednesday was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Both the light dinner and daily breakfast were good enough for free food to stick with them. The hotel was clean inside and out, though I was not happy to have to see - and confront - a homeless person snooping in the car next to mine with both his hands and face pressed against the front window. The hotel layout was very weird though, our room was closest to the front desk yet the furthest walk of all rooms unless you used the staff only door to go behind the kitchen - which we did every day because it saved 4-5 minutes of walking. I am sad to say that the beds sucked, my back and neck ached each and every night and it was not only hard to fall asleep but also hard to stay asleep. The outdoor courtyard was nice, and safe, and had lots of games but the music that seemingly never shot off at night was too loud..I could hear hits all through my sleep.

Hot tub was scalding hot the first day, then tepid the rest of the days. Starting at 7am each morning we were woken up to the sounds of kids and families thumping down the hall to go to breakfast. Very noisy inside the rooms.

Parking is the downfall of the stay. Not enough parking. Also, the little store they have is over priced. One Little frozen burrito was $6 as well as cup of noodles $6. We went to the grocery store 5 minutes away. Breakfast was ok.

We stayed at the Homewood by Hilton for five nights. The breakfast was okay, but housekeeping only came once during our entire stay. We even found a spider in the room, and the furniture felt old and worn out. Overall, I’d say think carefully before booking here.

We stood here for 4 nights. The area was conveniently located near lots of attractions. The actual property was nice with a good size pool & jacuzzi. We checked in later than we normally do. I noticed some dampness on the carpet by the AC didnt think too much of it. After being gone for the day the next day. It was still damp so I went down to talk to the front desk. They sent a maintance who confirmed that it was wet. Then nothing. No offer for us to move rooms or compensate in any way. We have little kids and it was annoying to have to keep them from that spot. Also, we called for towels & toilet paper on separate occasions and both times no one showed up. I hunted down a housekeeper for some who seemed to be annoyed at my request. The staff was rude at this place. My husband complained and they begrudgingly gave us our parking for free. He asked to have a manager call us. Never received a call. Needless to say we will not be staying at this property again.

We had a reservation, we checked in at night & the hotel didn't have any rooms available, waited 20 minutes for a room. Room 316 was dirty, the sheets had body hair and dirt. Bathrooms body hair everywhere, we also took pictures show the front desk and without even thinking it was a big deal they just switched us to Room 326. Sheets seemed clean bathroom & sick not so much. We travelwith kids so we loved to stay with Homewood Suits but I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere its unacceptable that we dont ge a clean bed. We had to go out to walmart and buy air mattresses because we just didnt trust this place anymore. 2 days prior we stayed at the Homewood Suits on Pacific highway in downtown San Diego and we loved it! Unfortunately with the experience at the Homewood Suites on Hotel Circle we will no longer be usung this chain any longer. I enjoyed the daily breakfast, extremely good every day . A lot of activities on site Cleaniness in the suite could have been better. Ceiling fan in the bedroom had a lot of builded up dust on the blades . The carpet corners had crumbs of dirty in each area of the room. On the elevator it was smeared blood on the wall. Check out day housekeeping came to my room 4 times starting at 8am and on the hour until check out. I was in the middle of finshing up a meeting. Where was that same energy when , I had to call for towels twice .

We booked the hotel from August 13th to August 19th. The hotel room was expected to be cleaned on alternate days. During our 5 days stay, they just cleaned the room on 1 day. Inspire telling the staff to get the room cleaned, they did not bother to clean the room. I developed allergies staying in the dirty room. When we checked out, they charged $26 per night for parking our car in the premises even though we were staying in the hotel as guests. This was not mentioned to us when we checked into the hotel. Total rip off and horrible customer service. Not an expected service from a “HILTON” brand hotel. We are extremely dissatisfied and disappointed and would recommend others to avoid this hotel.

Breakfast was great .. but staff all seemed grumpy and weren’t very helpful. The front desk lady seemed stressed and irritable while I was asking questions . I’m used to a top notch experience w Hilton.. but this hotel needs a good cleaning… and vacation for the stressed staff . Cleanliness- especially in the courtyard area was really poor .. All the tables were dirty .. with a breakfast that busy .. there should be a Housman/ attendant.. walking around keeping things clean .. the pool was closed . But beds were comfortable.. so that’s a plus . But all around. Hire more people.. detailed clean needed . Especially when big groups are there .. a “ big group “ being in the hotel is never a reason for individuals travelers to not get service or accommodation. Being told there’s a group —is no excuse for not getting towels , bedding ect this just shows a lack of preparedness on the management side ..

Very nice location. However, staff was not helpful when I asked in advance for a crib. Thank goodness I brought my own because they did not remember after I specifically called and had it put in the notes. Staff was more welcoming when we arrived to the hotel. Breakfast was okay, a lot of carbs. The rooms are very spacious which I loved!! There was no shampoo or conditioner in the containers in our room and after having house keeping come in, there was still no shampoo or conditioner. Overall, it was okay for a short stay but the location is perfect.

The heater wouldn’t stop running in the bedroom. It was very lightly blowing hot air. The thermostat was set to 67 and the living area was cool but the bedroom was hot and stuffy. All of my family got sinus infection issues after the trip. They came and reset the breaker but it still wasn’t perfect.

We got the King Suite and I can say it looks better in the pictures. The living room area was a bit small, the pull out sofa didn’t look as comfy. The kitchenette was great with a huge fridge. The room was ok, poor lighting. Bed was comfy but the pillows were just terrible. I love how there were TVs in both living and bedroom and that both had Netflix and Yotube. The bathroom was great. We didn’t try the pool, it was outdoors and it was a bit cold during the 2 nights we stayed. There were plenty of parking spaces but it was $26/night. Breakfast was nothing special. 1st morning we had tortilla, eggs, breakfast potato wedges and shredded chicken and the second morning we had almost the same except it was pork sausage and ofcourse the usual, toast, yogurt, muffins. Oh I love how they have steamed rice too! Also, I believe on Mondays-Wednesdays they offer small dinner. Our first night they had salisbury steak and rice. That was a surprise. Overall, it was an 8/10 experience.

The AC hissed miserably loud and we had to turn it off to sleep. Walls incredibly thin and there was noise in the hall all night and extremely early in morning. We got an accessible room for our elderly mom but there were no grab bars in the bathroom and floor was slippery so she struggled to use bathroom and couldn’t shower because of no grab bars nor bench in shower. The fold out couch bed was perhaps the most uncomfortable mattress we’ve ever experienced in our life… but - other than that it was clean, staff was amazing, breakfast was good. Felt very safe and friendly.

The corner suite was spacious and well maintained. It was so convenient to have the kitchenette area. The parking lot got a bit crowded at night, but we were able to get in ok. Overall, we were very pleased with this property and would definitely stay there again.

Bed was very squeaky and loud every single time one tossed or moved. Our bed had a very thick plastic cover which was uncomfortable and loud. Our girls were on the pullout couch/bed and complained about how uncomfortable it was in addition to us hearing that bed squeak every time they moved as well. We were on the bottom floor next to the fire pit. People hanging out and making quite a bit of noise way past a reasonable hour. On the positive side, breakfast was great.

I’ve stayed there for years for work. This time I went on a family vacation & it was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Had to wait for over an hour for clean rowers. They did not service in 2 days & we had to wait over 2 hours for them to bring up toilet paper as we ran out! Both rolls were half ways used when we arrived. I called front desk a few times & kept putting placed on hold until I finally went downstairs. As I checked out & told them everything b I went through he just said “I’m sorry. We just don’t charge your parking” Don’t think I will ever stay again for work, let alone with my family!

Checking in front desk had computer issue then asked me to move over to a different station and had to repeat myself was a bit annoying. Front desk clerk seemed bothered with other clerk asking is to help me check in. Also, phone in room would not dial out to housekeeping or the front desk. Texted a request for extra blankets and no one responsed for 12 hrs!! Nor did the blankets ever arrive. Had to go out and buy one. Ridiculous. I was told via text they would have housekeeping delivery extra blanket??who knows? I am a Hilton honors memeber and was very disappointed. Lack of concern. The parking lot had several sketchy people walking around at high. Parking was over flowing lack of parking. Don't think I will stay here again.

asked for bedding for the sofabed 3 times starting at 3pm before they brought any after 11pm, said its all they had left so it was one less blanket than requested. Woke up to our room disgustingly hot, messed w/ the thermostat repeatedly & it kept kicking the heater on, we realized it was a faulty thermostat & called the front desk. We got moved to a room two floors down around 3am & were not offered assistance or a luggage cart to get our stuff or even our extra bedding, so 5 people lugged their luggage, food, & hotel bedding to our new room at 3am but the a/c did work really well. Staff tried to enter our room between 7 and 8 a couple times. When we finally opened the door it was maintenance confused we were in the room, my assumption is it was other people 1st and maintenance came to find out why it wouldnt open. I explained the issue & he talked to the front desk to find out they moved us there, but the staff who moved us wrote the wrong room # down on their end so it confused them, creeped my kids out people were trying to get into our room, & again woke us up. We missed a good portion of our expensive Saturdays plans due to lack of sleep, including breakfast hours, which cost me more money to buy breakfast out.Late Saturday night we wanted to watch tv but we didn’t have remote controls. Overall, it was frustrating & I feel cheated i paid to stay here, I wouldn’t have came even if you paid me with how the stay went. Stay felt like a mean prank I had to pay for!

The room wasn’t as pictured. The sofa was damaged/scraped. There was no body wash in the shower. I escalated my concerns and the hotel were very dismissive. The supervisor argued with me and was extremely rude and told me there wasn’t anything they could do. I am still waiting for a response from the manager.

Check-in process started off great; however, our room wasn’t ready and we were told that housekeeping was running behind and given a 20 minute wait time. We were ok with that. 30 min later, I approached the counter to check on the progress of our room and was greeted by Shannon. I asked if we would be compensated being that our room was 2 hrs past our check-in time. Her demeanor was unpleasant, unapologetic, and very condescending; she couldn’t be bothered. I made a comment stating, “you’re not very nice are you” she replied “I’m very nice, I’ve never had a complaint,” I guess I’m the first to complain about her. She then proceeded to give me our keys, and sent me through the elevator that would have us walk the entire of the 4th floor to get to our room. This has been the worst experience at a Hilton property. I get it, this is budget but, does the staff need to act budget! Hope her day gets better, and treats guests with respect, after all, she’s a representative of this establishment.

This hotel provide complimentary breakfast and is near freeway however it’s pretty quite. This hotel has a swimming pool and jacuzzi. The best part is they have a chill area with a fire pit. My family spent a few hours hanging out, eating, and talking. This place was about 20 min to La Jolla and 10 min to SeaWorld. Great location. Keep in mind parking was a $26 charge per night. The staff here are all friendly and very helpful. They provide quick services.

We liked the modern vibe and newish facilities, but there's nothing within walking distance. They serve a great breakfast and the social hour was a nice surprise. They offered a light meal with beer or wine. The kitchen staff were friendly and helpful, but everyone else, from the front staff to maintenance, were not. It's apparent that they did not like their jobs. The $26/night parking fee seems excessive for a non-gated open lot with limited tight spaces.

Staff were really helpful, polite, especially those serving in kitchen dining area. We like the suite set up giving a little extra space than just bedroom. And while parking was extremely busy we always managed to find a spot. Great location for Balboa Park activities, cruises, and maritime museums, as well as loads of restaurants. Breakfast was great each morning and 24 hour coffee super treat, along with occasional dinner in evening!

This hotel is really nice! They offer free light dinner (with 2 alcoholic drinks) during weekdays! I never heard of that before! They also offer free breakfast but I think it’s only during weekdays. You may want to call to confirm. I will definitely come back to this hotel. Hotel is close to SeaWorld and Balboa park. Easy to drive to other places.

This was a nice Hotel, but the thing that made it exceptional was the Breakfast. The staff that is over the kitchen were amazing. They were professional, friendly, and helpful. Not to mention they changed the menu everyday and cooked some great hot breakfast meals. ThankYou!

Overall a great experience but highly disappointed in the breakfast. We stayed for 5 nights and the breakfast was the same every morning. Not your typical breakfast of pancakes/ waffles etc… instead it was more of a Mexican style breakfast with wraps and potatoes. We left to eat breakfast at the waffle spot down the street which was fantastic and highly recommend.
