Friendly staff, nice hotel, but hotel management could have done better job communicating/providing heads-up of current construction work and activities occurring onsite and within the hotel limiting number and access to elevators and areas within the hotel, including the workout room that was unavailable.

Nice hotel, good facilities, breakfast was busy but lots of choice and regularly replenished. Nice warm pool. It does shut between 7-8pm to be cleaned which can be annoying if you get in at 6.55 without knowing this!

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. However, the facility is undergoing construction so there was no restaurant or bar, therefore the breakfast served forced everyone to crowd into 2 tiny rooms where there wasn't enough room to sit down in. One of the elevators and ice machines weren't working. The walls are thin and we could hear screaming children starting at 6:00 in the morning.

If you visit this property the housekeeper will NOT come unless you give them 24 hours notice, they will give you clean towels and take the dirty ones if you catch them in the hallway, they will also take your trash if you bring it to them. There is plenty of parking so it’s confusing why the charge a daily rate. Pool was also very dirty, couldn’t see the bottom and there was lots of hair and particles floating around. Staff is friendly though. Room was clean upon arrival. Free breakfast was really good.

The hotel room was nice and clean. However, the hotel was under construction for a renovation. One of the elevators was out of order and the other had restricted use due to the construction. Our bathroom shower looked nice, but the floor of it wasn't level and as a result the water ran backwards (away from the drain) and pooled around your feet. The faucet for the bathroom sink was either too short or installed incorrectly because it barely cleared the countertop and required that anyone using it to wash their hands had to cram them against the back wall of the sink, splashing water all over the back of the countertop. The hotel staff all seemed nice and friendly.

Spacious room with kitchen. Room was clean on arrival but due to limited housekeeping (on request) it became increasingly dirtier as first the booking app didnt work, then the room was not cleaned even after we booked at reception, and despite requesting several times to have the room vacuumed this was not done during our 6 day stay at the property. Staff are friendly but not necessarily efficient. Breakfast is good for an included option. Overall the hotel is quite noisy, next to a busy road and sound proofing inside not great so you hear a lot of noise happening in the hallway and on other floors.

Shower was not clean. Base boards were dirty. When you shower water floods entire bathroom. Air conditioning was the worst.... ten minutes youre hot the next 10 minutes you'd be frozen. Air conditioning could not keep up to regulate temperature in the room.

Overall the property was ok, but we faced multiple issues: 1) My request for a crib was not honored. 2) Even though we had small kids we were given upstairs rooms. Our group kept getting complaints about kids running around and disturbing guests downstairs. 3) One of our friends spotted a cockroach in the property. 4) we had an issue with water leak from the basin that was immediately fixed.

Hotel staff were nice and check in was easy. Some issues with cleanliness I.e. fingerprints on mirrors, hairs on pillows etc. Nice breakfast options if you have kids, and pool is heated which is great. If you’re on a budget, this is a good option. Not the best, not the worst.

We had a pleasant stay and staff was great. The only things I had an issue with was the mattress was terribly uncomfortable and there was a false eyelash cluster in the bed which definitely did not belong to me. Very questionable that the sheets didn’t get changed. There was some weird goo dripping down the wall in the bathroom. Other than that it was fine.

Great hotel for families. Comes with fully loaded kitchen. Suites are perfect size for 4 people. Breakfast was surprisingly really good. Only downside is parking is very tight and pullout bed is very uncomfortable.

We book a suite with a kitchen. Which was great for a small family. The staff and service was excellent. The included breakfast, pool and common area was a nice touch for the kids. It was. Great central home base if your looking at visiting multiple different attractions in the area. The only complaint is the WiFi was pretty slow and terrible this day and age.

Room was big and well equipped. The breakfast was a life saver and in general the hotel felt nice and clean. Couple of things I would improve: There is a small humming noise in rooms near elevator which is sometimes annoying and we got some ants in our kitchen so watch out for those! Everything else was perfect; would definitely stay here again.

Spacious, quiet, and very nice. Loved the breakfast options they had. One complaint was we did have stains on the couch and blankets which appeared to look like a splatter of blood. Wasn’t much but definitely bothersome to think about. Other than that would definitely come back.

My second stay at this hotel, for two nights, was problematic. The first night's broken and noisy AC, despite a repair attempt and a loud fan provided as a substitute, led to a poor sleep. While the AC was fixed for the second night, improving my comfort, the check-out experience was unacceptable. A dog at the reception desk, handled by staff during service, caused me severe allergic discomfort and appeared unprofessional. For the significant cost, I truly hope to see improvements in both facilities and service.

The Hyatt House is such a gem! The hotel provided everything a traveler would seek and then some. The room was squeaky-clean, and Jessica at concierge went above and beyond. The upper-echelon customer service provided so much comfort, given the reason for our stay was to attend to a family member hospitalized at Scripps Memorial Hospital. I will definitely look to book again, should the need arise.

Hyatt house was very convenient for us it’s in a very quiet area next to a gastro pub and various restaurants plus it’s just a 20 minute drive from the gaslamp district for a fun night out and seaworld/ zoo. Our room was very comfortable.

This stay was far better than I expected. I was traveling with my parents and two toddlers, and this hotel offered everything that we needed to make our family comfortable for this 3-day trip. It was within 10 minutes of groceries, restaurants, gas station. We were also about 20 minutes away from La Jolla, Downtown, airport. When we arrived, all the hosts were very welcoming and we were well informed of the amenities available. Once we got to our hotel, the king-bed suite felt like a small 1-bedroom apartment. It had a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, 2-burner electric stove and a dishwasher. This suite had a full-sized sofa bed as well. We were on the first floor, so our room offered a small patio area facing the pool. Our stay came with traditional continental breakfast, which was better than I expected. There was a variety of options to help us get our day started without having to worry about going somewhere for breakfast. You will need a vehicle to get around, so if that’s not an issue and you are traveling with kids, this is a great choice.

Hotel was centrally located for the main purpose of our trip - the zoo and the safari park. La Jolla is 5 mins away, we easily got to Torrey Pines beach, Coronado Island took 20 mins - honestly a great location. Staff was always friendly, and Zoe's cheat sheet of recommended locations was awesome. Pool was clean, hotel was quiet, breakfast was great. Super happy with our stay and will recommend to everyone.

I like the different breakfast variety every morning and staff coming around being very helpful and they made sure the breakfast area was always clean and plenty to eat. Since Hyatt House is located in a business area It would have been nice if the hotel had brochures of nearby activities. Overall it was an excellent 3 nights stay and would definately stay there again.

When I booked the room, in the description it stated “down duvet” as part of the bedroom description. So I was expecting a nice comfy warm bed. However, there was Jodie’s duvet; just a blanket covered with a white sheet. So it was disappointing. The breakfast looked like it may have been good, but the line was so long and there were so many people that I didn’t decide to wait and find out. The room was fairly quiet. The towels were mildly stained. The front desk staff was polite at checkin. I ordered a drink at the bar and it was very overpriced and poorly made.

We also love the dining option as it has its own restaurant and complimentary breakfast .it was so convenient and everything was there what we needed and We didn’t have to go find and eat out .
