The Arlington hotel is a lovely 1920's era hotel in downtown Hot Springs on Bathhouse row. I stayed in the historic section of the hotel. My room had a king size bed. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was small but still okay. No place to put your shampoo bottle. It has a small soap holder built into the shower wall. Not big enough to hold soap and shampoo. The parking lot for the hotel is down the street. $22 to park in the garage parking down the street. There is A LOT of walking. If you have a lot of luggage, it is best to pay for the $30 plus tip valet parking. They will bring your bags to your room. All in all, I would give the hotel 3 stars out of 5.

Buyer beware. While this is a historical property with interesting features the facilities are in great disrepair. The pool and hot tub do not work. Much of the facility is closed off for safety or repair. Our coffee maker malfunctioned in our room. They did not clean our room or replace the coffee maker. Upon leaving we found about 8 erroneous charges on our bill totalling over $400. The one bright spot was an excellent bar staff and live music on Friday/Saturday night which was excellent. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE AND JUST VISIT THE ARLINGTON.

This hotel can be summed up in two ways: 1) Old historic hotel and all the pros/cons that goes with that; and 2) Gracious service. The Pros: This is a very old hotel that had recently undergone significant renovation on the outside and common areas like the lobby. The lobby is a fun spot to enjoy a drink in the evening. We met very nice people and the bands that play on the weekend are great. There’s a Starbucks coffee bar on the side of the lobby, which is very convenient, but there’s no signage, so it’s easy to miss. The food was very good at a very reasonable price. The fried chicken is among the best I’ve had. They are pet friendly and there’s a park conveniently across the street for potty breaks. The bath house staff are so friendly and skilled. My massage was among the best I’ve had - even among those that cost 3 times more. Whenever we had an issue, the staff resolved it immediately with graciousness. Cons: This is a very old hotel. The upside of old hotels: Beautiful art deco touches, brass elevators, real marble floors, a glimpse of how people lived 100 years ago. Very reasonably priced. The downside of old hotels: Not all rooms have been rehabbed. There is peeling paint and old carpet and chipped bath tubs and tiles. The bath house is in very rough condition. The pros, and the price in particular, make up for the cons. I would definitely recommend for not-picky people. If you expect perfection, this is not the place for you.

I wanted a relaxing couple of days in Hot Springs, so I specifically searched for something with a hot tub. The comfort inn and suites looked nice and had an indoor hot tub and pool. The Arlington was historic, had a hot tub and better location. I thought about it and went with the Arlington. Got there, read the paper taking about services for the week. It says the hot tub is open! The hot tub wasn’t open. The front desk tried to play like people were just using it. It hadn’t worked in months. The work out room was closed. Caps from previous use of soaps left in the shower (pictured). The door to my room wouldn’t lock from the inside. You can’t control the ac. And being on the bathing floor the sound of the pumps start at 8am every morning and sound like a chain saw going in the next room. I also had to pay 59 dollars for parking. I expected the extra 30 was for parking but twice the amount quoted. Instead of a relaxing vacation I got early morning wake-up's, a dirty room, lied to and no amenities that I wanted. I paid a little more to stay at the place that had what I wanted and a better location. I should have paid less money and stayed at the comfort inn.

You have to pay to park here is my only complaint. And it isn't that you have to pay to park it is that it should be disclosed before you book. They do have a cheaper self parking garage but you still have to pay and it is only a couple of dollars a day cheaper than valet. Hotel is old and dated and rooms and halls smell mildewed but it is historic at the same time so we already expected this. Overall was a good stay and conveniently located downtown. They pay to park I wish would have just been added to the overall price per day and not told once checking in that you have to pay to park.

The location is unbeatable, and the price was right. The rooms were a little dated, but acceptable. I was on the seventh floor, and being able to walk across to the mountainside pool was incredible. The bar in the lobby was hopping on a Friday night, and I enjoyed the more laid back patio Saturday afternoon. That said, the beer selection at the nearby Superior brewery was better, but it was a quick walk. Valet was also quick and friendly.

We loved this historic hotel. The lobby is stunning. It's right across the street from the start of the Grand Promenade and Bathhouse row. We enjoyed the pool. Valet parking workers were awesome! We know the hotel is older and historic. That's fine. The only downside is 3 of us got eaten up by bedbugs. It was pretty bad.

I understand that this hotel is old and under construction, but it was dirty as well. The tub was not clean. The carpet was coming up off the floor and stained When I opened the cabinet to get to the refrigerator there was a roach that kept coming out and hiding. I really wanted to stay there because of the history, but I hate to say I would never do it again. I only stayed for one night and that’s all I could do.

The place was so unclean. It was unbelievable. The carpets have stains everywhere and not just in my room, but in the other rooms that we had as well. The entire hotel is not maintained well and it was gross. The balconies had cigarette butts that had been there for days or weeks. They had not been swept or cleaned in a very long time.

Across the street from Hot Springs National Park. Turn of the 20th century hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Bedding and bathroom were clean. Rooms need some upgrading but think it is limited as to what they can do since this is an historical landmark. Dead bolt to door didn’t work. Great Ice cream shop and nice book store on the Mezzanine level. Starbucks on lower level, but with limited, posted hours.

Lobby and dining room were fantastic. Rates were great. Hallways are dark and feel unsafe. Rooms are not renovated and require maintenance. We stayed two nights. On our final night (Saturday) there was a local band playing heavy metal music in the lobby. It sounded like they were in the room next door even though we were five stories up. I called to ask if they could tone it down and the manager seemed pleased that it bothered us touting them as a local band that would finish up around 11 p.m. We had an eight hour drive the next day and expected a quiet night to sleep. Not here. It's a cool hotel but we need sleep.

Extremely close to the bath house, valet parking is 30 a day and is staffed 24 hours a day. The renovated rooms are charming and vintage, the historic (non renovated) rooms are very vintage and a bit worse for wear, but they’re working on the whole thing! The mineral water rooms are amazing. The staff was so nice and accommodating, we were upgraded to a very nice room on the 9th floor overlooking the entrance, breakfast is $10-30 per person if no buffet is available, the buffet is 15 per person. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable and there’s some one there 24/7, the dining room staff is attentive and accommodating. The pool deck is on the 7th floor and the hot tub is to die for. if you’re planning a trip basically the entire area is closed on Tuesday, as that’s their slowest day so aim for Wednesday- Sunday, wed-Friday is less busy, but the weekend is packed! Overall I’m extremely happy with our stay and will not even consider staying anywhere else next time I’m in hot springs’

The rooms are very small. No where to set toiletries in the bathroom. Only one accessible plug for electronics. No Daily room cleaning or towels without calling for this and forgot to tell us that and no signs posted to call for this service. Convenient but not worth the money spent and the services neglected.

Hotel was nice for a 100 year old historic property. It is NOT updated to current times hotel standards so staying there you do so for the historic nature. Rooms were clean but very dated & could use simple maintenance items done (ex: fixing messed up electrical sockets, holes in walls barely patched). The downstairs lobby area is nice and has lovely art deco, however the rooms are OK but not great and there was a lot of noisy construction on the room floors, which was not communicated at check in. No one would be able to sleep after 7 with noise.

This was going to be a very different review but thanks to the front desk manager Carmen, our experience was rescued. This is a beautiful, VERY OLD, historic hotel. Keep your expectations geared for very old. It has a lot of its original flooring, plaster, fixtures, and quite a bit of it feels like and 80s/90s update happened at some point. The bed was comfortable enough and the pillows were not the weird kind that immediately go flat when you put your head on it. Our first night, I took a shower and found that the drain did not work at all. It was pretty late at night but a maintenance person was sent to our room. He wasn’t able to fix the problem and we were told someone would come the next day so they could use some louder equipment when it wasn’t almost midnight. No one came though and we had to take weird quick burst showers so we didn’t flood the place. Finally at 8-8:30pm after two more visits to the front desk Carmen came in to save the day and got us into a new room for our second and final night. Thank goodness! We also had the breakfast and the Friday night seafood buffet on premises. Both were tasty but the seafood was a bit lacking on the buffet. I was hoping for some crab. Frog legs and catfish aren’t really seafood. Everything we ate did taste nice and fresh. The oysters on the half shell did not look very fresh so we didn’t try those. We will be back again because we love the character of these really old type hotels.

The entire establishment was dirty. Our room happened to be directly next to construction and although the noise was tolerable the smell was horrendous. Our toilet flooded the bathroom every time you flushed. This was reported numerous times to no avail. The only bright light to the entire stay was Shane, the exceptional valet driver.

Line for check in took us about 45 minutes. Then when we got to our room we couldnt find it so asked a housekeeper who told us she was still cleaning our room and that the room she was cleaning was our room, so we left our luggage and took off. Apon returning later, we saw that that wasnt our room but now our luggage was locked inside. So we went back downstairs waited in line AGAIN and had to have someone come up to unlock ot and get our luggage. Then later went to hot tub. No towels. So i called the front desk. Absolutely loved staying at this beautiful historic hotel. Couldn't be more convenient in terms of walkability to downtown Hot Springs. The biggest treat is the double decker pool and hot tub, which is built into the incline of the mountain just behind the hotel. It's amazing staying at such a gorgeous property that also happens to be on National Park land.

Rooms need some upgrading but think it is limited as to what they can do since this is an historical landmark. Dead bolt to door didn’t work. Great Ice cream shop and nice book store on the Mezzanine level. Starbucks on lower level, but with limited, posted hours.

The bar in the lobby was hopping on a Friday night, and I enjoyed the more laid back patio Saturday afternoon. That said, the beer selection at the nearby Superior brewery was better, but it was a quick walk. Valet was also quick and friendly.

We booked the Arlington this past weekend for our 22nd Wedding Anniversary. Staff was great. Very courteous and helpful. Overall cleanliness of the property was great considering they are still doing renovations, however we were never bothered by the renovations. The pool/hot tub area has been renovated since our last stay and is greatly improved. Our room was clean and comfortable. The lady bartender (I can't remember her name) really knows how to make an awesome Bourbon Old Fashioned. Overall our Anniversary trip was awesome and the Arlington and staff helped! Thank you, We will be back!

This hotel can be summed up in two ways: 1) Old historic hotel and all the pros/cons that goes with that; and 2) Gracious service. The Pros: This is a very old hotel that had recently undergone significant renovation on the outside and common areas like the lobby. The lobby is a fun spot to enjoy a drink in the evening. We met very nice people and the bands that play on the weekend are great. There’s a Starbucks coffee bar on the side of the lobby, which is very convenient, but there’s no signage, so it’s easy to miss. The food was very good at a very reasonable price. The fried chicken is among the best I’ve had. They are pet friendly and there’s a park conveniently across the street for potty breaks. The bath house staff are so friendly and skilled. My massage was among the best I’ve had - even among those that cost 3 times more. Whenever we had an issue, the staff resolved it immediately with graciousness. Cons: This is a very old hotel. The upside of old hotels: Beautiful art deco touches, brass elevators, real marble floors, a glimpse of how people lived 100 years ago. Very reasonably priced. The downside of old hotels: Not all rooms have been rehabbed. There is peeling paint and old carpet and chipped bath tubs and tiles. The bath house is in very rough condition. The pros, and the price in particular, make up for the cons. I would definitely recommend for not-picky people. If you expect perfection, this is not the place for you.

This was like stepping into the past! They even have actual keys for the rooms!!! (Which i promptly locked in the room. But they graciously met me to let me in !!) Im obsessed with this hotel! The food is amazing!! The Room service cheesesburger and filet mignon at 10pm was probably the best food ive ever eaten. No ghostly encounters this time....but maybe next time!

The “resort” is overpriced for what you get. When I asked the staff what the resort fee is for, I was told pool, hot tub, wifi and in room coffee service. Are you kidding? An overnight stay. The older gentleman at valet when we checked in was very nice & helpful! Wish I had been directed to find the pool & hot tub when checked in at the front desk though.
