I love that this is a repurposed elementary school! It was clean, roomy for the two of us (and our dogs). Plenty of grassy area. We are notbeer drinkers but the brewery is a great idea and looked like a nice patio to hang out in if it had been warmer. It is also convenient for a quick drive to downtown. We have already referred a friend to this place and would stay again if we return to Roanoke.

I had a great experience here. Check-in was quick and easy through my phone, and parking was simple with a charging station available. The room was very clean and well-maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen and an in-unit laundry room. The bed was extremely comfortable, the sheets were soft, and the mix of firm and soft pillows made for a great night’s sleep. Temperature control worked perfectly, heating and cooling quickly when needed. The location was also convenient, with several stores and restaurants within walking distance. The building felt secure and quiet, and the staff were very responsive through text and checking in to make sure everything was going well. My only complaint was the bathroom. There was little to no body wash left, and it looked like an extra bottle from a previous guest had been left behind, so I bought my own. The towels were also on the cheaper side. I also noticed the vending machine only had beverages and needed a restock. Overall, the stay was absolutely worth the price. Better quality than other similar places I’ve stayed at. I’d definitely book again... Just bringing my own towels next time 😉.

We were very pleased with how nice and clean everything was. Even the hallways smelled fresh and clean. We could not hear people in the units beside or above us which made for restful nights. The units were nicely furnished with a complete kitchen and shower tub. Being pet friendly, we were able to bring our cats who really enjoyed the big windows. The location is convenient to downtown Roanoke which allowed us to enjoy the local restaurants and even a brewery, A Few Old Goats, is attached and has a nice open patio space to enjoy an evening ale. The Host was extremely friendly and accessible making us feel like valued guests. I would recommend this location to family & friends.

Check-in is definitely at 3pm, just like they say! I arrived a little early and found that the code didn’t work until the clock struck three. Totally on me—I should’ve reached out ahead of time. Honestly, it gave me a chance to unwind for a bit while I sat in my car, which was kind of nice. The apartment itself is absolutely lovely! The space is full of charm, the bed was super comfy, and the windows let in the most beautiful light. It felt like a little retreat. There were just a few small things I noticed—a lot of crumbs on the coffee table from previous guests, no washcloths that I could find, a tiny stain on the sheets that looked like spaghetti (which, if it was spaghetti, sounds like a good time to me!), the wrong kind of coffee filters for the machine (it uses #4 cone filters), and the pull chain on the bedside lamp is missing. But truly, those are minor details compared to the overall experience. The building is so unique, the AC kept everything perfectly cool, and having a brewery literally 11 steps from the room was *chef's kiss*. The location is amazing, too. I’d happily stay here again and look forward to it! omg - I forgot mention THERE'S A CEILING FAN!!! Bonus points right thur.

I recently returned from my stay at West End Flats. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. The unit was clean and very well maintained. I felt very safe. And the building is charming being it’s an old elementary school building. Communication was swift and reliant. I forgot a few things in the unit and they are shipping them to me no questions asked. That is outstanding customer service. If I could rate it more than 5 stars.. I would! Thank you West End Flats!!

The apartment has an "industrial" decor. The floor is cement (and cold) and the rooms are very darkly decorated. It had a man-cave feel to it. It was definitely not the cleanest, as hair was in the bathroom in the tub and on the washer/dryer. The floor was so sticky we had to wash our shoes after we left. The bed was extremely comfortable and the apartment is spacious with huge TVs in the living and bedrooms. Smoke detectors were going off in multiple apartments on our floor until midnight - this was unfortunate!

The bedroom does not have a door. That condition made it impossible to watch TV in living room when the other person was watching something else in the bedroom. And I could not use the kitchen if the other person was taking a nap. A door would make a huge difference.

I was in apt 102 and the door to the bathroom facing the kitchen got jammed and I couldn’t open it when I was inside. I thought the second door was just a closet lol but luckily it led to the bedroom and I could leave. Also I felt like the booking process could have been clearer about filling out the form in order to be sent access codes.

I recently returned from my stay at West End Flats. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. The unit was clean and very well maintained. I felt very safe. And the building is charming being it’s an old elementary school building. Communication was swift and reliant. I forgot a few things in the unit and they are shipping them to me no questions asked. That is outstanding customer service. If I could rate it more than 5 stars.. I would! Thank you West End Flats!!

Overall the stay was great clean and felt safe but when we arrived and got settled in we noticed we didn’t have any wash cloths and tried to email but no response.

We were very pleased with how nice and clean everything was. Even the hallways smelled fresh and clean. We could not hear people in the units beside or above us which made for restful nights. The units were nicely furnished with a complete kitchen and shower tub. Being pet friendly, we were able to bring our cats who really enjoyed the big windows. Easy check in, everything was clean, kitchen fully stocked for whatever we might need, great outdoor space for our dogs, location is central to everything we needed. Only thing we couldn’t figure out is it looked like a previous customer left their personal shampoo/conditioner there and the hotel left it for our use.
