The breakfast was very good. We did have an issue with the air conditioning. They told us it was broke but then 2 days later told us it was off and that they would turn it back on.

Excellent location and convenient to walk to many sights! Great views over city and nice area to sit and cool water jacuzzi pool . Great breakfast included. Negatives- some areas need refresh paint. Walls heavily scuffed! (Our room). Busy area as political buildings there so cannot have drop up ( pick up) at Lobby doors so had to drag luggage around side of hotel over cobblestones! No thanks! Some staff- rude or ignored us. Not important guests I guess! No kettle / coffee maker in room so asked for a tea! Seemed to be a serious offence. Drank our water and left over drink from outing in rooftop - not allowed! Had to order from bar- but that entails ordering from lobby bar to be delivered up to you. Strange set up!

Le service wifi est nul dans tout l’immeuble, particulièrement dans les chambres. Faible force de réseau, On le perd régulièrement, on vacille entre 10 serveurs différents, aucun adéquat. Nice hotel. We had a suite, and it was roomy. So close to Trevi and Pantheon. Lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. Rooftop breakfast was good with beautiful views. Staff were helpful. Listing said A/C, but apparently not in November, we were told. Had to order fans to our room.

This hotel has an excellent/walkable location only minutes to Treve Fountain and Pantheon. Our room was comfortable with updated bathroom and oversized windows overlooking the piazza. The breakfast every morning was served on the upper terrace and had a wide selection. There was a main level bar (new friend Angelo makes a terrific Negroni 😀). The only negative was the property advertised rooftop bar and pool. (bar was not open during our stay and pool is a hot tub that did not appear to be useable). Negatives aside, overall wonderful base to explore Rome city center.

Odanın genel temizliği kötüydü. Temiz hissi vermedi. BiZe verdikleri odanın birinde hiç pencere yokken diğerinde yok denecek kadar minikti. Konumu güzel erken geldiğimiz için valizlerimizi bırakacağımız bir yer verdiler ama bir daha kalmam.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral, sodass alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen sind. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und das Personal ist ausgesprochen nett. Das Zimmer war groß und sehr sauber, Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt. Allerdings ist die Einrichtung schon sehr abgewohnt. Das Hotel müsste insgesamt renoviert werden. Die Frühstücksterrasse im obersten Stockwerk mit Blick über Rom ist klasse, das Frühstück selbst könnte abwechslungsreicher sein.

Die Zimmer waren im mittelmäßigen und veralteten Zustand! Überall Gebrauchsspuren und im Internet hatten wir schönere Zimmer gesehen und gehofft, dass das ganze Hotel renoviert ist, jedoch war das überhaupt nicht der Fall. Unsere Freunde hatten auch ein Zimmer und genauso schlecht! Für ein vier Sterne Hotel, leider enttäuschend. Die Aussicht vom Rooftop ist sehr schön, aber auch in einem nicht allzu gepflegten Zustand, etc.

If you’re looking for a location close to the sights; this fits. If you’re looking for a room that is clean, has a mattress where you can’t visibly see the springs in the mattress, where the carpet isn’t stained including gum or something matted into it, where the toilet seat is attached and the shower handle stays on the wall, this is not that hotel. I asked twice to have the bathroom issues resolved and the light bulb hanging from the ceiling fixed; only the light bulb was dealt with.

The Hotel is centrally located with in walking distance of major attractions in Rome. Hotel was immaculate from entrance all the way to the roof top. Staff was very friendly and attentive in assisting with questions etc. complimentary breakfast and roof top location was excellent.

Hidden gem! Walking distance to main Sightseeings. We felt safe because next to government building there are always was security. Clean inside and around neighborhoods. Personnel was very accommodating. Delicious breakfast!

Colonna Palace is a decent tourist hotel in the heart of Rome. Its best attribute is, undoubtedly , its location. Right across the parliament, and within just a few minutes of walking from the Trevi fountain, and the Pantheon. Just about all of Rome’s major attractions are within a 20-25 minute walk, including the Coliseum and the Vatican. On the other hand, because the hotel is right in front of the parliament, the square has frequent demonstrations during the day, and loud tourists during some nights, whose noise is noticeable even on the fifth floor. The room (at least the one I stayed in) was very small, with effectively no space to move around. The toilet was decent size, modern and clean (the full size bidet was a pleasant surprise), however, there was signs of (possibly former) mold on the edges of the bathtub and the walls. Those should have been cleaned. The breakfast is fine, though there could be a bit more variety in cheese and cold cuts. The pastries were not very good either. There is free WiFi, however, the signal strength was too weak, and the connection was useless. I was unable to use WiFi. The front staff is attentive and helpful. The rooftop terrace has some spectacular views. Overall, it is not quite the four star hotel it advertises itself; however, there are enough good things about the hotel that I would probably stay here again when I return to Rome.

This is Rome and a four star hotel is really a three star. The area is great in the center of things. Don't really know how the AC or heat works as the weather is great. Breakfast is reasonable in a nice roof top restaurant . Rooms are old in an old Rome hotel . But that's Rome

The property was convenient very clean right by Parliament. My problems were the bed was too hard, especially if you have a back problem like I do and the Wi-Fi that they advertise did not work very well or at all overall it did the job for us for three days. Also coming from the USA I did not like the half door shower. The floor was soaked every time, and we tried real hard not to, but they reiterate the beds were painfully hard, and the Wi-Fi was nonexistent.

The breakfast every morning was served on the upper terrace and had a wide selection. There was a main level bar (new friend Angelo makes a terrific Negroni 😀). The only negative was the property advertised rooftop bar and pool. (bar was not open during our stay and pool is a hot tub that did not appear to be useable). Negatives aside, overall wonderful base to explore Rome city center.

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. For example, they provided great restaurant suggestions complete with directions. Rooftop garden was wonderful. Breakfast diverse and well-prepared with plenty of variety and, again, helpful and very pleasant staff.

Fantastic location, really central to all the sights of the city. Staff were pleasant and friendly and breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a lovely start to each day. On our final day, local road closures meant that our taxi driver was unable to drive to our pick up point. So the hotel staff arranged an alternate pick up point directly with the taxi driver for us which was still very close and made sure we had accurate directions to get there with ease. Thank you!

Hotel staff was amazing. Highly recommend this property for anyone that needs help with English to Italian translation. The airline lost our luggage for 2 days and the staff at the hotel called for us multiple times each day to speak to the Italian officials. They truly went above and beyond. Cannot thank them enough. When in Rome stay at the Colonna Palace!

I had booked an extra night by mistake, which included breakfast for 2 paid. I tried to cancel the second night and i understand hotel cancelations, but they didn't offer to refund anything. I called hotels.com and they say if i had not check in i would be able to get something!? another misunderstanding and bad information. Anyways,when i asked for a complementary drink since my husband left earlier and couldnt enjoy the breakfast in the terrace-which is the best think they have-they looked at me like i was asking for gold. Definitely not welcoming place. Everyone is that reception is cold and dificult.

Got put into room 680. Avoid at all costs. Tiny. Small window about 4 feet up. Mattress with a back breaking hump. Oh, and a sewage smell late at night from the bathroom. Reception gave me a hard time about changing rooms. Receptionist with straight blond hair had a disrespectful attitude and barked at me when I asked for clarification of my room change request. Room 444 was fabulous. Larger. Looks out on the plaza with an Egyptian obelisk. Everything was great— until the last night when the sink backed up. Called the office and was told they’d get to it. Can u guess what happened? At checkout the next morning, the clerk was surprised when I told him no one showed and the sink was still clogged. He said there was no record of my request. Will NOT be staying at this place when I go back in October. Many, many other places to pick from. Positives on the breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a superb view of the city, the wait staff, the bellboy (who was super helpful), and the convenience of surrounding neighborhood food and shopping. But like I said, there r other places nearby that r just as nice and probably a better value.

Colonna Palace is a decent tourist hotel in the heart of Rome. Its best attribute is, undoubtedly , its location. Right across the parliament, and within just a few minutes of walking from the Trevi fountain, and the Pantheon. Just about all of Rome’s major attractions are within a 20-25 minute walk, including the Coliseum and the Vatican. On the other hand, because the hotel is right in front of the parliament, the square has frequent demonstrations during the day, and loud tourists during some nights, whose noise is noticeable even on the fifth floor. The room (at least the one I stayed in) was very small, with effectively no space to move around. The toilet was decent size, modern and clean (the full size bidet was a pleasant surprise), however, there was signs of (possibly former) mold on the edges of the bathtub and the walls. Those should have been cleaned. The breakfast is fine, though there could be a bit more variety in cheese and cold cuts. The pastries were not very good either. There is free WiFi, however, the signal strength was too weak, and the connection was useless. I was unable to use WiFi. The front staff is attentive and helpful. The rooftop terrace has some spectacular views. Overall, it is not quite the four star hotel it advertises itself; however, there are enough good things about the hotel that I would probably stay here again when I return to Rome.

The hotel is right in front of Parliament Square, which is blocked off from cars and open only to the public and hotel guests. The area is secured 24/7 by government security personnel, making it very safe. The hotel is clean, the staff are very friendly, and I absolutely love it.

The Hotel is centrally located with in walking distance of major attractions in Rome. Hotel was immaculate from entrance all the way to the roof top. Staff was very friendly and attentive in assisting with questions etc. complimentary breakfast and roof top location was excellent.

Nice hotel. We had a suite, and it was roomy. So close to Trevi and Pantheon. Lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. Rooftop breakfast was good with beautiful views. Staff were helpful. Listing said A/C, but apparently not in November, we were told. Had to order fans to our room.

I was very pleased with our stay here. The front desk and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic. We requested a room for three as my daughter was with us, we were very impressed with the accommodations. We had two bedrooms with one bath in between the two rooms. I was thrilled that my daughter had her own space. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom had been remodeled and was large. The only downside was the bathtub/shower it was very slippery. We had a great view of the plaza facing the Parliament building. The free breakfast was on the roof terrace. The view is spectacular! The food offerings were limited and it was the same every day. The food was fresh. The wait staff could have provided some service to the guests. They mostly cleaned the tables. We had to get everything including our coffee,water etc. The location could not be better. Everything was within walking distance. Plenty of great restaurants are just literally around the corner. The Pantheon is 5 minutes walking and the Trevi Fountain 5 more minutes from there. We walked to the Spanish Steps and enjoyed lots of shopping on the way. The Colosseum and the Vatican are also within walking distance if you’re up to about 20 or so minutes of walking each way. We discovered many churches and plazas while walking. The Colonna Hotel was perfectly situated no matter where we walked to. The security and safety is great due to the 24 hour police presence for the Parliament. Loved it!!

Pros; Centrally located. Most resturants, and other points of interests, are within walking distance. Our room was spacious and relatively clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Most of them speak english. Great rooftop view. Cons; - Somewhat aging bathroom. The showerhead was rusty and dirty. A few cracks in the bathroom floor. - Simple, but limited breakfast. Additional Info.; * Because of the hotels location, there is a police checkpoint just outside the hotel entrance. The police are generally friendly, and let us pass without any issues. * If you want a small balcony with your room, I recommend booking the "Deluxe Double" Room. As far as I know, it is the only room with a balcony. Recommended for hot summer days.

Nice hotel. We had a suite, and it was roomy. So close to Trevi and Pantheon. Lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. Rooftop breakfast was good with beautiful views. Staff were helpful. Listing said A/C, but apparently not in November, we were told. Had to order fans to our room.

Fantastic location, clean rooms, beautiful lobby and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The only critique is that the rooms/furnishings were a bit dated, but in keeping with the old world charm of the building and location. Great breakfast included and the staff at breakfast were incredibly attentive. I would stay again.

Excellent location. Nice daily breakfast on the Top Floor. Clean and efficient. Lounge and Bar next to Lobby. We booked due to its excellent location. They did not disappoint. In between Pantheon and Trevi Fountain areas. Not far from everything really. The Five Star Rating is due to Value for Money, Considering Location. We enjoyed the Lounge areas on several occasions. The "pool" on the roof is really small - don't bother packing swim suits. Unlimited Restaurant choices - all nearby. Excellent Airport Shuttle Services that the Hotel will arrange for you. Highly recommend for families and longer term stays (over 5 days) due to Location, Complete daily Breakfast and efficient staff.

The Colonna Palace Hotel was a great choice. It was centrally located which made things much easier for first time visitors to Rome. The staff was very helpful, helping us with bags, directions and taxis. Highly recommend.

The room smells bad with humidity and I found little roaches. The bed was too bad that hurt my back. This is a very well hotel location but they should renovate the room at all.
