My husband and I have stayed here on a few occasions. It is handy for the promenade and shopping areas and is reasonably priced for the area. However, I feel that for the size of hotel, which is quite large, one lift does not provide sufficient capacity to cope with the aged population that frequents the hotel. A large proportion use walking aids or wheelchairs of some description so one lift throughout the hotel does not cope with the needs of the majority of their clientele. However, the staff are friendly and work really hard.

Not 4 star, queueing for buffet breakfast is not a 4 star hotel, food served from a hotplate so quality was below average. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Only one small 4 person lift to serve the whole hotel, decor in the communal area and carpets are dated. Staff were 4 star so bravo to them. Limited parking was disappointing I got a space but you may have additional parking costs if the small car park is full. Location was good. Overall satisfied but please reduce the 4 star rating, tiny rooms does not warrant that rating.

Location was perfect for us and unlike some long established "Grand" hotels, St Georges still feels a bit special. Room was comfortable if a tad smaller than we perhaps expected (room 400), and breakfast excellent. We were struck by how many staff were working and felt very welcome and well looked after. Highly recommended overall. Only downsides :-) On checking in we felt a bit like we were second class folk as the receptionist made a point of saying "as you booked via Expedia you can't charge things to your room as we don't have a card on file" would of been happy to give card details, but wasn't asked. Secondly, for us, part of the reason for booking St Georges was they have 9x EV charge points in their carpark. On getting in touch with the Hotel a week or so before arrival, I was told that due to demand these couldn't be reserved. Top tip, the station car park has about 40x 7kw chargers, £2.50 for 12hrs parking, and currently £0.34/kw to charge. <10min walk to the hotel. However, a great stay overall, would stay again.

Great hotel right in middle of everything. Meticulously maintained Victorian property centrally located. Great staff. Not enough refrigerators for guests so we needed to leave our items which needed cooling with the front desk. Very limited parking but this seems common for the hotels in the center of town. Would come back again!

I had a excellent one night stay. Mind you my sleep was interrupted during the night by someone vacuuming outside of my room in the early hours. The room was comfortable and warm recently decorated and well worth the four star rating of the hotel. Slightly over priced compared with near by similar hotels but within walking distance of the Venue Theatre l was attending. Car parking is a no no at this hotel as it is first come first served and limited

Great hotel in a lovely location. The hotel staff are polite, courteous and friendly. Rooms are comfy but you need an upgrade for a view. Breakfast was excellent and a warm welcome from the staff. Parking is a bit limited and with narrow bays door knocks may be an issue but overall this is a great place to spend a break in Llandudno.

Not 4 star. Tired hotel. Couldn't book a meal the first night as restaurant full. Couldn't get a seat in bar area either as too small. Only one lift for what seems mainly infirm guests and breakfast room down a few more steps that causes a blockage as guests spend time using the stair lift. The whole ground floor needs a revamp. Beds great, but showers had black mould in the corners. Only 2 seater tables in restaurant next to windows relegating families to the rear of the room. Major problems on departure though, as our previously paid for accommodation suddenly produced an additional charge of £10 per child per breakfast. Worse still they charged everything from our restaurant visit the previous evening 3 times, drinks and food. So they were asking £530 for a bill of £190. A long and increasingly painful conversation ensued with the receptionist failing to sort out the problem. The manager popped his head around and joked that we didn't look big enough to have eaten 3 meals then promptly retired from the, by now, confrontation. Eventually after about 20 minutes of argument and pleading the receptionist agreed to add the 4 signed invoices from the restaurant and bar, and leave her computer, to come to the correct solution. No real apology, no offered deduction of any amount to calm the agony. We won't be back.

Bedding was dirty. The room and bathroom were not cleaned to a 4 star standard where there were mutiple loose hairs all over the place. The red cleaning products they did use was left all over the toilet. Out of all the staff we came across, only one spoke as you should in hospitality. Hotel needs updating/modernisation and thorough clean. Benefit of the property is that it is close walking distance to the main attractions.

Check in was fast, friendly and the gentleman on reception was very helpful. Our room- I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. We had a rear facing double but it was bright, clean and very comfortable with a huge bathroom. The only negatives, there were stains on the curtains, carpet and the hot water tap wasnt working on the bathroom sink (although reception tried to resolve this speedily). Breakfast was plentiful and lovely. What I will say about this hotel is the staff were amazing and couldnt do enough to help you. I had a nasty fall on the 1st day, blacked my eye and sprained my ankle. The staff ran round getting ice wrapped in towels, drinks, organised food in the hotel for us, they literally couldnt do enough to help us. They even organised taxis for me the next day to get to and from the hospital. A huge thank you to all the lovely staff, your help and kindness was very much appreciated.

The only problem was an unpleasant smell from the drains in the room when we arrived. Didn't notice afterwards. The hotel was super overall and the staff helpful and charming. Location fabulous. Food excellent.

This was our second stay and have to say it was disappointing, our room was very small, felt like it used to be a store cupboard and the hotel has renovated it into a room. The bathroom was very small and hard to manoeuvre into the shower with the bathroom door shut. A view over the Carpark and bins. Everything was clean just didn’t feel special and would not book again based on this experience which is a shame as last time our room was so much better.

The staff at St George’s are very friendly and go out their way to provide an excellent service, nothing is too much trouble . Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and served by friendly staff. My only slight niggle was the shower in our room I found it didn’t have sufficient force but I managed. Will definitely return.

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Go to Llandudno a couple of times a year and our first time in this hotel. I can honestly say that it made our break better this time. The service and the staff were brilliant. Every staff member couldn’t do enough for you and were really friendly and welcoming. Really look forward to staying there later in the year for partners birthday.

We had a lovely stay at the george hotel. We had a partial sea view, and it was perfect. We had a bath and shower, bed was comfortable. If i had to pick any faults it would be breakfast. Food was very good but service let it down. We got missed out, probably so many people to serve they lost our order. Other than this little niggle everything was perfect. Will go back there again.

I am extremely unhappy about the way I was treated by the receptionist. Although I booked a double room, she stated there was only 1 person booked in. Despite showing her the confirmation she insisted I was incorrect, embarrassed me in front of all the other guests at the desk and called her manager over who eventually agreed that it didn’t state anywhere on my confirmation that only 1 guest was booked in. We use Hotels.com all time and are gold members. This is not what I expect of your hotels!. I am extremely disappointed.

As always our stay was excellent. Our room was lovely and provided all we needed. The staff particularly on reception and in the breakfast restaurant were perfection. So polite, helpful and professional. The hotel is in the perfect location for us and the atmosphere relaxing and welcoming. We shall definitely be returning.

Very disappointed ! When checked in there was no guidance as to what was where or dining times etc …In parts of the hotel there was a very strong smell that was nasty ! The man on reception talks down to ppl as if they are stupid then tries to over compensate when he realises that your not ! Asked a number of staff different questions and was told sorry they didn’t know or where not sure so totally unhelpful …and when checking out felt like the staff thought we where going to do a runner without paying …staff member literally run around to his computer and said hang on oh it’s ok you are pre paid !! Sorry I’m not a thief !! Won’t return and wouldn’t recommend

What an amazing stay! It met all our expections and exceeded them in most areas. The hotel is truly a top class place, but what made it a 5 star stay was the staff. Without exception they were all totally focussed on making our stay memorable. They succeeded! I've had the privelege of staying in hundreds of hotels and the team's attention to their guests makes this hotel stand out in my memory. Thank you all!

St George’s Hotel is a perfect place to stay when visiting Llandudno. It is situated on the promenade with beautiful views over the bay and of The Great Orme. The town centre is a short stroll around the corner. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was fantastic.

Great hotel, very aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. The architecture of the cieling in the main hall is quite something. Staff informative and helpful. The hotel was great, lovely & clean and very cosy which was ideal for the autumn weather we had in peak summer. The room was adequate for our two nights and very comfortable. Set on the beachfront in walking distance from a high street of shops and within driving distance of retail parks and supermarkets. You can easily walk over to the beachfront and the pier, there's also plenty of sight seeing opportunities within easy reach by car/taxi.

St George's hotel is in a perfect location on the sea front with shopping and dining choices on the doorstep. A lovely welcome to our beautifully comfortable room. We had breakfast which was ample. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. This was my second visit and will be happy to return.

Extremely impressed with the excellent service throughout our stay. Very nice double room which was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was absolutely perfect and delicious - the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. We will definitely return and will recommend to our friends and family.

As always our stay was excellent. Our room was lovely and provided all we needed. The staff particularly on reception and in the breakfast restaurant were perfection.
