we went here to chill out and have a swim in the pool but was not open due to changing room out order i have had a look at other reviews last year and it was out off order then so owner needs to sort this out it does not say this when you book as wood have look at other hotel here out dated all off it food ok staff good

Room was a good size single, nice and warm with a comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great buffet breakfast offering all breakfast items. Nice bar with a superb sea view which wasn't overpriced. Entertainment offered in the ballroom a couple of nights a week. Has an indoor pool but didn't use it. All in all a great stay.

We booked as it was a sea front hotel, with a pool. On check in we were informed that the changing facilities at the pool were closed, so we would be expected to change in our rooms, then return through the hotel to the third floor in our wet costumes to change back. We did ask if robes were available, but got a resounding no. Had we known in advance, we could have brought our own robes. Needles to say, we were unable to use the pool

Great location , comfortable bed , great breakfast good choice tasty & hot . Would recommend . Staff professional & friendly . Room for improvement pool changing area closed so had to dry at pool area & no shower at the pool to be able to shower prior to getting in pool . shouldn’t have to pay to use a towel if you are a guest . Heated towel rail not working in bathroom . Overall great stay .

The hotel staff were very good with no issues. The room was clean tidy and warm. I was not impressed by the food options available for the evening meal. Very little choice, disappointing in fact for such a large hotel. As for the parking cost, it was more expensive than to park on the street. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

Grateful for parking on site. Breakfast was perfect. Room adequate for my needs (shower not the best but ok). Abbie (and Pete) on the bar at night were very hospitable to myself and a large group of regulars. Made my hotel stay quite enjoyable

The Marine was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient. I stayed with my 7yr old grandson and the staff went out of their way to engage with him. The pool was clean and warm and the childrens’ entertainment was excellent. The food and service was good. The only negative was that the decor needed an upgrade. A very enjoyable stay, I will be back.

The hotel is three star but the decor is very dated. Floorboards creak, the dressing table veneers were peeling. Bathrooms are very dated with peeling paint and ancient plumbing. We found a hair ball in the bath when we first arrived in our room. On the upside, the location is spectacular. The beds are comfortable and sheets are crisp. The breakfast is substantial although I'd lose the powdered scrambled eggs. Reception staff and the breakfast receptionist were very good. Some of the wait staff in the morning too. Overall, fantastic location, but the bedrooms need a massive overhaul.

There was stains on the bed sheets, I could tell they hadn’t been changed the next day because the stains were still there. The floor mat for the shower was mouldy however the staff were very nice and the breakfast was very good.

A really tired hotel. Carpets are threadbare, rooms need a good clean and a lick of paint, bathrooms were awful, no water pressure in the showers. No parking available. Staff very nice and helpful. Overall 4/10.

Fire alarm went off at 2am, 3:45am and 8am. Carpet in the room had a possible vomit stain. Window cracked and sellotaped up. Bed was two beds pushed together but we're on different levels so you sleep on a slope

Suffocating room with a Very bad smell, I requested them to change the room but the best they could do was a air freshener. Luckily I was able to cancel my stay and get a refund. But wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Strong smell of musty damp going through the main entrance of this very dated hotel in desperate need of a full refurbishment there is little to no chance of getting one of the few parking spaces. Room was clean and tidy but very hot with no air conditioning and the sash window only opening 1 inch The bathroom door couldn’t fully open as it was hitting the sink Won’t be returning

The hotel is tired and needs updating. We had a decent sized room in the attic area. There was scaffolding outside of our window and unfortunately the seagulls rested on this at night making a lot of noise. There was a good selection on offer for breakfast of both cooked and continental breakfasts. The bar prices were decent. It was conveniently located on the seafront where free car parking was available overnight, 4pm -10am.

The only downside was the room was hot and no air conditioning. We were able to open a window to let fresh air in. Onsite parking is limited and would recommend you prebook if driving. Offsite parking is street parking. There were also stairs on some floors which could make it difficult for people with mobility difficulties. Staff were friendly and meals were good. Room was clean.

Nice clean room overlooking the seafront, comfortable bed, shower wasn’t great as the cubicle was really small and the hot water took an age to come through as it wasn’t electric, but good overall. Good variety of food at breakfast . and items replenished regularly. Only complaint would be we booked the 2 course evening meal @ £22 each , we both chose fish and chips and the fish looked like it was a frozen piece out of a box ( triangular shape and flat) and frozen chips, we’ve never had a meal in a hotel restaurant and it not been freshly cooked. We wouldn’t eat in the hotel again.

The hotel was good all round and we had no issues during our stay. The rooms are very dated and the room (109) we had was a bit odd. It have a large bedroom on entry but didn't have any TV in that room. It should have had a sea view but I would class it as partial sea view, a little disappointed on that. The window literally only opened six inches. And on a hot day it was stifling in there. You then had a drop down two steps to a lounge, this room was even hotter. The sofa was very uncomfortable. No windows could be opened at all in the lounge room so it was not very good. And the sofa was positioned looking away from the sea, again not ideal. The bathroom was large with a bath, sink, loo and shower. The shower was tiny though. In fact I've been on canal boats with bigger showers. All in all a nice stay however the hotel is very dated. I think I'll try a different hotel if we go again.

Booked this hotel as had seen online that it had helpful staff and a nice hotel. Unfortunately as soon as we walked in it smelt musty, I had booked the hotel in advance and explained there was certain things we would need as my dad is critically ill and permanently in a wheelchair, on arrival we found parking was not great and even though there is a carpark they will not allocate a space for disabled people...we had bags a wheelchair and commode. On arrival unfortunately reception sent us to the wrong lift and ended up in an area with loads of stairs and had to come all the way down with my dad, wheelchair and bags, very stressful. The internal doors are really hard to get through. My mom and dad's room was fairly nice but ours was very dated with plaster even coming off the walls. On Tuesday the rest of my family arrived and asked if was ok for us to grab a tea before leaving after their journey, the lady was certainly not happy and said, she was alone so we felt like an inconvenience. We went elsewhere. The only good thing I can say is breakfast was lovely and the gentleman looking after the dining room was absolutely lovely and really helpful. This hotel needs a lot of work.

An enjoyable 4 night break spent with friends, using Llandudno as a handy base for various sights in NW Wales. Friendly and attentive staff, good value. Bedroom was ‘tired’ and in need of redecoration.

We loved the staff at the bar, reception and restaurant....fantastic service! The breakfast was lovely with quality sausages and bacon, nice cup of tea! Loved option of ordering latte from the dining room with the waitress as the coffee is not so good. The room we stayed in was okay, clean but could be made sooooo much better just if some love and care was spent fixing the minor problems in the room you can see. All need is maintenence man to fix cracked wall, cover old leak marks with paint, sand filler on bathroom door, new silicone on sink/shower cubicle, fill cracks and lick of paint! Someone has done botch job on fixing leg of dressing table and paint mark on chair in room needs removing! It would take half a day to fix all this and make it perfect! Just need good maintenance person! Employ a good 2 or 3 maintenance men/ women and hotel would be beautiful. Minor but numerous little visual issues letting hotel down. Staff are 5* . Ignore bad reviews on this hotel, well worth it!

The first room we had was in a tired condition but Andy the manager gave us another room without any question and all the management were brilliant and very efficient. All the staff members throughout our stay were brilliant looked after us at breakfast and evening dinner.

Perfect location, room was clean and tidy, it had everything we need, ie tea , coffee, & hair dryer, staff were lovely, very obliging. - the room was a bit small but doable, en-suite extremely small, took a while for the hot water in the shower to come through.

Traditional seaside hotel, so somewhat dated, but directly across the road from the promenade & easy walk to shops etc. Comfortable bedroom, ours with a sea view & very clean. Parking available rear of property. Excellent freshly prepared breakfast & helpful & friendly staff. Would recommend & would stay there again 🙂

This is our ‘go to hotel’ in Llandudno, had over 12 trips to the Marine Hotel now. Food (breakfast and evening meal) was great, the hotel is always very clean and the staff can’t do enough for you. Yes the building is old, was squeaky floorboards but what be you expect for a building a few hundred hundred years ol
