Very good hotel ,friendly & helpful staff , the room was clean & good size . Meals are good value & excellent choice for breakfast . It has good amenities with the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc that you can access as part of your stay.We would highly recommended

Lovely stay. clean and fairly new bathroom. matress wasnt the comfiest and sofa bed for kids was very thin. but room was a good size with good facilities. no safe box. very family friendly with kids play area in reception, nice touch with a free drink & snack in the bar. good breakfast. only downside, we booked a swim session in the morning only to be told 1.5hr later when we went to go in, that the pool was booked for a class. disappointed the kids!

Can only comment on room 58. Carpet stained, paint on walls blistered, run marks on all walls, mould round windows, shower room ceiling cracked & paint peeling due to extractor fan not working. Bed comfy & pillows comfy. Tables & seating in restaurant dirty at breakfast Leisure facilities good.

Good welcome, nice room,lovely pool. Lovely large bed, but sadly very small sheets that didnt even cover the mattress- surely thats basic? Very disappointed at what was very sloppy housekeeping.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were all excellent except one female behind the bar, who for some reason looked straight through me and washed some measures as I stood at the bar, then just walked away and started washing glasses. The breakfast was excellent and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff are working hard and nice enough but they are working at a much higher standard than the hotel itself. The communal areas are nice enough (although quite a bit of grubby upholstery around and the foam on the chairs feels like you're sat on a brick). There are some nice touches for the kids, like a play area in the main lobby and tokens given to kids on arrival for them to exchange for a variety of things. Also, another nice touch is the kids crockery available at breakfast and kids eat free for the restaurant. The food in the restaurant isn't bad, it's an easy, pretty consistent option. The bit that lets this place down is the rooms themselves, threadbare carpets, mould in the showers and a sofa bed that will make you question your life choices at 3am as you try and get comfortable for the 1000th time that night. We were just stopping for a few nights and it was ok for that purpose, if the rooms were better, we may even consider it a good base to explore the area as all the other aspects were decent enough. I feel for the manager and the staff a bit, who were very helpful and are being let down by a lack of investment in the rooms

Tv in the room is way too old! Should be smart! Floor is dusty! Clearly the cleaners didn’t even hoover! Key cards keeps getting reset couldn’t enter our room 3x! Really inconvenient for us cause it’s a long walk to the reception to my room!

Reception area and bar is updated and very nice. The staff are professional and nice and the it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. There was so much choice. The only down side was the room was a bit shabby and worn down. I had booked a king size room and the bed was small but we managed. I also had to wipe down the sides as not cleaned properly. I wasn’t bothered enough to make a complaint.and it didn’t ruin my time there.

Tired hotel, beds and pillows not great, double duvet too small, shower tray grimy, shampoo and shower gel bottles almost empty, health club in a different building only accessible by going outside the hotel. Breakfast range good but quality sadly disappointing.

The food was amazing, and the set up of the hotel was brilliant. Everyone really helpful and polite. We did however book a King Size bedded room and ended up with a double, the bed was not comfortable and unfortunately too small for us in width and height (my husband is quite tall).

Friendly staff and my son got a token that he used to get a hot chocolate before bed. He liked the panda box that he put the token in. Room was very comfortable. A few toiletries in bathroom would have been handy. No air con working in our room but we were advised of this on arrival and offered alternative on ground floor if we preferred. Nice reception and dining area. We enjoyed the pastries at breakfast.

We booked at a very good price. The hotel reception was pleasant. We felt we should have been told that we were allocated their disabled room for no other reason than the toilet was so high (and we are both tall) that it was difficult to use also the basin very low. Other than that the room was a lovely size and very comfortable

Don’t get given a room with an adjoining door. Last time I stayed here I could hear someone snoring and this time there is a family seemingly shouting through the door! Appalling nights sleep <6 hours. Would not recommend.

Hotel welcome was great. Hotel room was overall clean with some maintenance needed to the bathroom due to foul smell. Room service terrible- breakfast delivered freezing with no apologies and not attempt to rectify. A further drink order was not delivered but we did not receive a refund for room charge of £3.95. Evening staff on New Years Eve were rude to my 75 year old grandad who was gifted a bottle of champagne and told he had to get rid of it to his room, even though he’d already spent over £100 that night on drinks. Hotel staff had no control over a very loud family who were irresponsible and not caring for their young children. The children smashed glass and were touching it and no staff attempted to collect the class to tidy away any possible hazards. The fire alarm went off at 6:45 am on New Year’s Day. No apology was made to guests and to announcement to inform anyone of a false alarm. Dinner was not catered for very well. No set menu as listed online. Lots of food out of stock and no warning of what was available or not.

I was given the wron grade of room, the manager quickly resolved this amd switched my room and also gifted me a free drink at the bar, my room was great, Jasmin at the bar was so lovely, she really made our night and should be commended. :) I had such a great stay, we will be coming back.

Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Spacious hotel, quiet and the swimming pool was an excellent little distraction for the little one who loved it after a long drive. Good location and close to the motorway!

Nice hotel, great buffet breakfast and within walking distance of retail park and fast food chains. Bed was a little too soft for my taste but the room was a decent size. The shower had good water pressure but the shower screen needs to be extended to avoid getting water all over the floor. Would stay here again as good value for the price.

Saff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was lovely. DInner not so much, we expected the halfboard menu to be similar to other Holiday Inns we had stayed in but it was really poor.

Once we found the correct version of the two Holiday Inns situated very close to each other, the check-in was smooth and trouble-free. After sleeping well, we both woke up feeling achy, though it seems to be going as we move around. Breakfast was very good. There was a huge choice to the help yourself buffet. It was all good quality and cooked well where appropriate.

Doesn’t represent good value. Quite dated and despite the over friendly Americanised staff it’s expensive for what it is. Bathrooms want better attention to maintenance, bar is expensive, breakfast is nothing special and not presented very well
