Stayed for 6 nights at The Dragonara, hotel was great, loved the option for swimming in pools and the sea (which is my preference) with two bays on offer. Food service was terrific at the beach with very good menu options and easy to order. Sun beds etc, all in good condition, hotel room was clean and very comfortable. I have stayed in other hotels of a similar standard in the area and this just topped them. Staff friendly and had a super relaxing stay. I will be back.

We made the right choice. This is a classic well operated hotel with a huge range of facilities and world class service. Nana was incredible and looked after us from check in to check out and we even got an anniversary gift. Pool, gym and sauna were excellent - can’t wait to come back in summer when everything else is open. Only negative is the curse of in-room Nescafé! The area is lively for nightlife and tons of great bars and clubs but the quality of restaurants doesn’t suffer like other places - highly recommend L’Ostricaio for authentic Sicilian food at decent prices.

Fabulous Hotel, beautiful and relaxing pool areas (2) overlooking the sea. Poolside food & drinks available. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size with comfortable bed and balcony overlooking the sea.

Clean and tidy hotel. Professional staff, great hospitality, good food. Plenty restaurants to choose from, also close to town for an abundance of restaurants and bars. 20-30 mins from airport, heated pool, full gym and spa with indoor pool. Casino across the road… parking available if required!

Excellent customer service with a particular shout out to Sunny, Wictoria, gentleman at the pool and the team at the concierge. ( sincere apologies for not remembering your names!) Hard working staff during the breakfast rush and at the restaurants. The wonderful staff are the true gems of the place. Very clean facilities. Indoor and outdoor pool available and a gym. There are 2 delicious restaurants on site and plenty of restaurant options right outside the resort. We didn’t travel out at night so can’t comment on how lively it gets but all amenities( shops/ supermarket) were very close. It was around 20 minutes from the airport by uber. We used uber to travel all over the island , which was very convenient. Several activities on site for younger children, but not much for teenagers though this could be because it was October. It is a rocky beach as opposed to sandy one. Would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Westin Dragonara.

From start to finish, our 5 night stay in late October at Westin Dragonara was spectacular. We arrived a few hours before check-in, and we're able to enjoy a hotel lunch basking in the sun, which was delicious. We had a spacious and spotless garden view room, that allowed my kids to get to the pool quickly every day. The hotel was a great base for us to do some local walks and shopping nearby, and we used Bolt for other journeys but there are 2 bus stops close by. We tried both heated indoor and outdoor pools, preferring the outside when it was sunny and proximity to our room. The biggest highlight was the breakfast spread, many egg variations (my favourite being the omelettes to order), for the kids all the pastries, bakes and chocolate sauce on tap. The icing on this review is the awesome staff, always attentive, helpful and friendly. This was a last minute booking and wasn't our original intended hotel, but since visiting we've not regretted it and will definitely visit again and other hotels in the chain. Thanks for looking after us!

Best breakfast buffet I've experienced in a long time. Delicious food at the Italian restaurant. Lovely bar and terrace. Superb pool for families. Safe, clean, luxurious!

Sehr freundliches Personal, super leckeres abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Wir hatten ein DZ- Zimmer mit Meerblick, der Ausblick, aber es hat im Zimmer sehr nach Abwasser und Muffel gestunken. Der Hausmeister hat die Filter der Klimaanlage zwar ausgetauscht! Das half aber garnicht, trotz dauerhafter Lüftung durch Öffnen der Terassentür. Das war sehr schade! war super

The hotel was nice and clean but the rooms we stayed in smelled really bad of mildew, Although the staff tried to rectify by checking air conditioning unit in rooms, it could not be rectified. This was a major disappointment and we have come home with three suitcases of stinking clothes, even the unworn clothes, due to the mildew smell.

Fantastiskt bad och brygga. Trevlig bar och enastående gym Frukost under all kritik, för många gäster och stökigt. Dessutom smakade maten inte speciellt bra, ej heller lunch Rummet var stort och fint men dålig lukt ( mögel )

The hotel is at a great location in the st Julian city. Despite being close to the party area, as soon as you enter the hotel you cannot really hear any noises. We had a great stay here for our Easter break, all the staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant) are polite and helpful, our sea view room was spacious, the view from the balcony was great. We also enjoyed dinning at the onsite restaurant “Quadro”. There were a few areas we thought could have been better: • The toilet had bad smells a few days perhaps due to some sewage issues. • The hotel website had outdated information (we saw “Cheese and wine on Thursdays” on the website and went to the lobby bar, been told by a member of staff that they no longer serve this anymore, they are aware that the website needs to be updated but it hasn’t been done yet). • The walls/door were a bit too thin. Me and my husband were waken up pretty much every morning by the sound from the young children’s play next door. Other than these our stay was generally pretty good hence giving 5 stars overall.

The hotel has a fantastic location, with plenty of restaurants, shopping streets, and stores nearby. The property itself is large and even has its own beach, where guests can swim in the sea, as well as a nice pool — more than enough to enjoy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only small downside was that the room ventilation wasn’t ideal; the bathroom moisture didn’t clear out easily, and the sheets and bedding felt a bit damp, which might also be due to the local climate. Overall, however, our stay was very pleasant and we had a great experience.

Das Westin Dragonera war eines der schönsten Hotels in dem wir jemals waren. Das Personal, der Pool, das Essen, die Lage hervorragend. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön, sauber und großzügig, der Balkon mit Meerblick war wunderschön. Das Personal war ohne Ausnahme sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. In der Pizzeria die zum Hotel gehört das Palios kann man hervorragend essen und ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wenn man noch etwas einkaufen möchte oder einfach in der Stadt flanieren ist man in ein paar Minuten mitten im Zentrum. Alles bestens. Danke für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt.

The service is impeccable. Quite simply some of the best customer service we have experienced. The hotel is beautiful and very well kept. The beds are extremely comfortable. The rooms are kept to a high standard at all times. The breakfast is first class. It is our third time staying at the Westin Dragonara and we will be back in a few months. Thank you all.
The service is impeccable. Quite simply some of the best customer service we have experienced. The hotel is beautiful and very well kept. The beds are extremely comfortable. The rooms are kept to a high standard at all times. The breakfast is first class. It is our third time staying at the Westin Dragonara and we will be back in a few months. Thank you all.

We had the privilege of staying in a tower room for 12 nights and it was heavenly! Unmatched ocean views and the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep. Watched the sunrise over the sea on many mornings. A magnificent place.

We had an excellent stay at The Westin Dragonara. Rooms were new, spacious, comfortable and filled with all the amenities you would expect from a 5 star resort. Staff was very friendly, informative and accommodating, Special shout out to Joseph the concierge for helping us with all our questions. The Buffet breakfast is not to be missed... so much variety. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was perfect, quiet and the beds comfortable. The hotel was right on the water but still close to restaurants if you wanted to leave the property. We ate three of the four nights in the bar area of the lobby. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stayed thoroughly.

I think overall - the hotel was good. We just have one feedback for the room. The AC in the room was not working - so at night, it was very hot. We tried to lower the temperature numerous times and it didn’t work.

Breakfast was great. The room was okay, but not soundproof so we could hear people scremaing next door. There are very limited facilities for kids and the kids xlub was a bit of a joke with lady just switching on TV amd sitting on her phone. Would not recommend for families.

We stayed in one of the luxury suites and it delivered in every aspect. The staff at the hotel looked after us extremely well from the moment we checked in until check out. Warm, friendly and very helpful without exception. The food served in the hotel is also very good. We dined at Quadra and Palasio restaurants during our stay and the service and quality of food was first class. The pool options are varied so plenty to choose from. The hotel definitely deserves its 5 star status.

From Ahmed and Raid on the front desk to Fady (booking staff) and George in the Executive club, everyone was truly focused on helping us in the most professional way. The Club made a big difference - a quiet place with free food and drink is so useful and delightful, especially in the morning. We have travelled the world and quite tough to please, but I recommend this hotel as the ONLY one to stay at in Malta... we visited the others, avoid them. Dragonara was clean, well staffed, well equipped and an oasis of professionalism and clam.

The hotel itself is beautiful lovely sea views, clean facilities, and a great location. But unfortunately, the reception experience let everything down. We were told we were getting a free upgrade (which we hadn’t asked for), only to be given the exact room we had already paid for. Check-in was slow over 30 minutes with no apology or offer of a drink, and we had to keep chasing. The staff member who handled it was unfriendly and dismissive. Throughout the stay, calling reception was frustrating. It took ages for anyone to pick up the phone, and we waited a long time for basic answers especially when asking for a simple 30-minute late checkout, which no one followed up on. Even after checking out, while we waited in the lobby, we were made to feel unwelcome receiving unfriendly looks as though we should leave. It really took away from what could’ve been a lovely break. Sadly, I wouldn’t return after this experience or recommend it to others.

When a hotel with staff of the calibre at this hotel this makes your day to day cares evaporate when you walk in the door, there really are not enough words to describe just how fabulous this place is. Excellent customer service with a particular shout out to Sunny, Wictoria, gentleman at the pool and the team at the concierge. ( sincere apologies for not remembering your names!) Hard working staff during the breakfast rush and at the restaurants. The wonderful staff are the true gems of the place. Very clean facilities. Indoor and outdoor pool available and a gym. There are 2 delicious restaurants on site and plenty of restaurant options right outside the resort. We didn’t travel out at night so can’t comment on how lively it gets but all amenities( shops/ supermarket) were very close. It was around 20 minutes from the airport by uber. We used uber to travel all over the island , which was very convenient. Several activities on site for younger children, but not much for teenagers though this could be because it was October. It is a rocky beach as opposed to sandy one. Would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Westin Dragonara.

The staff was extremely accommodating, friendly, and courteous. Sonny, Joseph, Gorge, and Tony were especially helpful and professional. Our room was amazing. It was right on the water, with a perfect view. The breakfast buffet had a endless variety of selections. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was in walking distance of restaurants and the mall. The hotel coordinated a great half day tour that was informative and showed great views of the island. We will definately return for another AMAZING Vacation

Amazing hotel beautiful views from all directions. It was easy to walk to tons of places for food or just for drinks. The hop on hop off bus makes a stop here so if you want to Tour Malta, it’s the perfect location. The staff was phenomenal. They were so kind and so helpful. Super fun. They were easy to joke around with and made my stay really comfortable. My only complaints which is not really anyone’s fault , is that to order a bolt or Uber the Westin wifi doesn’t work. They have it set up that way, so you have to use your own cellular data or pay their Westin car fares, which are double the bolt prices. I will say, though that when I had an issue with this, the staff member himself booked me a vehicle using his bolt because I was not happy with price surcharge to use Westins chauffeur service. The food was also amazing. I have no complaints. I would stay here again.

hotel is in an excellent position. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. The area across from the hotel, Paceville, is not good. Dirty a full of take aways , clubs and noisy bars. This is not a reflection on the hotel which is away from any noise and has fabulous facilities.

Hotel was by far the best location and nicest of all the hotels we looked at. Many of the other larger hotels have large cranes and building sites directly next to them (Corinthia etc). So be prepared for the reality of beautiful sea views being spilt by constant building works across most of Malta. The westin facilities and pools however are great. We had a large suite. Kids club is only suitable for tiny toddlers. St Julian’s Bay and Paceville however are rotten smelling and dirty - thanks to all the young tourists in the strips and clubs and sewage. However, I’d still recommend the hotel highly. And just ensure you research well and pay for taxis to take you out to the nicer restaurants (Loa at St Paul’s Bay, Valletta etc). Plus with boat trips you needn’t spend much time in the strip - except to pop to the supermarket. The hotel staff were fantastic and friendly. Avoid the buffet dinner though - food wasn’t great and very overpriced. Breakfast and pool bar food was good though. Only downside was our room smelt slightly too. Which is a shame given the smell of all the communal areas is typical of a westin and usually delightful (except when they’re serving fish in the lobby walkway restaurant, which is bizarre choice). And the sofa bed wasn’t adequate for older children. Poor quality and uncomfortable for a week to sleep on.

The hotel has a fantastic location, with plenty of restaurants, shopping streets, and stores nearby. The property itself is large and even has its own beach, where guests can swim in the sea, as well as a nice pool — more than enough to enjoy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only small downside was that the room ventilation wasn’t ideal; the bathroom moisture didn’t clear out easily, and the sheets and bedding felt a bit damp, which might also be due to the local climate. Overall, however, our stay was very pleasant and we had a great experience.

We have just had an absolutely fabulous stay at Dragonera, staff very friendly and helpful the hotel itself is spotless and we dined at the lounge restaurant 3 of our 5 nights as the food was excellent.The outdoor heated pool was much needed as weather could still be a bit chilly. Overall would highly recommend.

Kamers schoon, beetje gedateerd. Italiaans restaurant was niet geweldig. Personeel is top, erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Zwembad en de zee waren heerlijk. Verrassing op ons 40 jarige huwelijksdag, chocolade en bubbels. Heel erg attent. Komen hier graag weer terug en ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid, je kunt echt alles krijgen.

Everything was great, gym was super equipped. Indoor pool n spa was helpful on rainy days and long walks. Unfortunately most of the breakfast items were highly processed especially the sausages. However, there are many fresh options available like veg tandoori.

Hotel was by far the best location and nicest of all the hotels we looked at. Many of the other larger hotels have large cranes and building sites directly next to them (Corinthia etc). So be prepared for the reality of beautiful sea views being spilt by constant building works across most of Malta. The westin facilities and pools however are great. We had a large suite. Kids club is only suitable for tiny toddlers. St Julian’s Bay and Paceville however are rotten smelling and dirty - thanks to all the young tourists in the strips and clubs and sewage. However, I’d still recommend the hotel highly. And just ensure you research well and pay for taxis to take you out to the nicer restaurants (Loa at St Paul’s Bay, Valletta etc). Plus with boat trips you needn’t spend much time in the strip - except to pop to the supermarket. The hotel staff were fantastic and friendly. Avoid the buffet dinner though - food wasn’t great and very overpriced. Breakfast and pool bar food was good though. Only downside was our room smelt slightly too. Excellent attentive and friendly staff, from concierge to housekeeping. Beautiful junior suite with double balcony overlooking the bay. Fully stocked with amenities. Best breakfast buffet I've experienced in a long time. Delicious food at the Italian restaurant. Lovely bar and terrace. Superb pool for families. Safe, clean, luxurious!

I absolutely loved this hotel and would return in a heartbeat. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly, the food was amazing, and the service by the pool was excellent. The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. Honestly, I have no complaints. Everything about this resort was great, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. I would absolutely stay here again. 10/10!
