This is such a comfortable and luxurious hotel. I have no regrets! The spa is great! And I only wish I had learned about the fitness schedule sooner. We were there for 4 days. It was so comfortable. The rooms got dark at night. Cool and air conditioned. Great service. Amazing breakfast. Amazing to eat dinner and watch the golfers go by! And then get to Be some of them ourselves!!🩷❤️

Second visit to OCH and whilst the hotel is stunning and staff all very good was left a bit frustrated and disappointed by the restrictions imposed on us to use the Spa. This was not in the Expedia booking rules and meant we only had 45 mins to enjoy the Spa during our visit.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel very welcome and valued. Check in process was easy. Our room was lovely with a view over the iconic old course. Husband said the view was out of this world and would be to any golf fan. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel but the bar on the 4th floor was lovely. There was a piano player and the vibes were amazing. Breakfast in the morning on the 4th floor was lovely, one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in any hotel. And the view while having breakfast was even better! Bed and room was great, bed very comfy. Room was very quiet and relaxing. Shower was great. The only thing we found not the best was the size of the gym. It was fairly busy and could have been double the size with the demand. But other than that, everything about our stay was 5/5 and would definitely return in the future.

Absolutely amazing weekend. Felt looked after straight away from the check in staff, this carried on with each area we were in, including the spa and The Jigger Inn. The hotel is so well looked after, the bedroom was clean and comfortable with great views of the golf courses.

We had an amazing stay at The Old Course Hotel. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Great, friendly, welcoming staff. My one issue- Just beware when booking. We booked the Eden King Room and the bed was clearly a Queen. The staff kept insisting it was a “UK King” I’ve traveled all over the UK and have never heard of such a thing. A King Bed is a King Bed. A Queen Bed is a Queen Bed.

We found the Old Course to be very welcoming to us with our two small dogs. Beware however when booking indirectly that you need to choose a room which is dog friendly (not shown on Hotels.com) so we had to pay an addition £50 per night to upgrade the room plus £70 per night for the two dogs. It was a lot extra onto the booking, an extra £240 on top of the £560 for 2 nights B&B. I only mention costs as it’s relevant to the quality of stay. The room was very comfortable and had doors opening to a garden area which was convenient with the dogs. I have mixed feelings about the room however. Whilst I’d paid a premium for a nicer room, because it’s used for pets the carpet is fairly old. The beautiful velvet cushion on the bed also had questionable stains. So whilst it made me more relaxed about the dogs being in the room I did feel I’d spent a lot for a room that was definitely of a poorer standard than when I’ve stayed previously. A dog bed and one toy as well as dog treats were a nice touch - it’s a shame there was just one toy between the two dogs. As ever we were made to feel comfortable and welcome by staff. The breakfasts were lovely too. I would not recommend Jigger Inn however. The starters were all lovely but the main meals were not great. The sticky toffee pudding was wonderful and made up for the mains. Overall I think there are much better places to eat close by. So overall it was a very nice stay but the cost did not match up to the experience.

Nice hotel, not quaint or Scottish, but nice. I am not sure if they used any insulation between rooms as we could hear the neighbors conversations quite well and the TV from about 4 rooms down.

There was a VERY noisy aircondition just outside our window. And the view to the golf course (which was the reason for booking the hotel) was 80% obstructed by a small house and a tree. Besides this, the room and hotel was fine.

Hotel was nice but we asked for a course view room. We could see the grass but never expected to be ground floor. It was extremely disappointing as this was my husbands 60th birthday and I wanted it to be special. We had people walking by our windows randomly several times a day due to being on the ground floor. The room was also very separate from the rest of the hotel down the hallway to the conference rooms. For the price we paid for a view of the course, had I known I would have stayed elsewhere and saved myself the disappointment and cost.

The hotel has plenty of parking which is great the service from staff was excellent they couldn’t do enough for you there is so many different options for eating in the hotel with prices that are reasonable for where you are there was only one thing that I was angry about was there was a charity ball event on and we had to go up in the lift walk a while through the hotel take another lift down and then walk through the hotel again to get to our room I have heart problems and I would have preferred if we had been told about the charity ball being on and I would have booked for the week later

Every staff member spoke to us every time we passed in the hall or met under some other circumstance. They were always pleasant. Always with a smile and ready to assist. They also went out of their way to find us a table with a view when it would have been easier to give us an interior table.

The best part of the Old Course hotel, outside of the view and convenience, was David M. (Concierge)! He was so unbelievably helpful. He knew all the ins and outs of the area and resort. He went above and beyond to help me and my family. He made our trip and the resort 5/5 stars! We will definitely be back because of him!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel very welcome and valued. Check in process was easy. Our room was lovely with a view over the iconic old course. Husband said the view was out of this world and would be to any golf fan. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel but the bar on the 4th floor was lovely. There was a piano player and the vibes were amazing. Breakfast in the morning on the 4th floor was lovely, one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in any hotel. And the view while having breakfast was even better! Bed and room was great, bed very comfy. Room was very quiet and relaxing. Shower was great. The only thing we found not the best was the size of the gym. It was fairly busy and could have been double the size with the demand. But other than that, everything about our stay was 5/5 and would definitely return in the future.

You’re in Golf Mecca overlooking the 17th Hole on the The Old Course. You’re drinking Whisky and gain good advice from the Road Hole Pub Manager (Paul). You then start to eat amazing food with the same view. Life could be more perfect. Rooms where spacious with nice soft linen and extremely comfortable bed. The shower, with it three heads, was also a dream. I should have stayed a few more night.

We loved our stay. The room was clean and spacious and the turn down service was a lovely touch. The evening meal, Swilcan, was delicious. Steak cooked to perfection! The bed was huge and so comfortable. The spa was phenomenal- we loved the thermal suite. Again, the breakfast was also fantastic- wonderful variety and spectacular views. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning!

We found the Old Course to be very welcoming to us with our two small dogs. Beware however when booking indirectly that you need to choose a room which is dog friendly (not shown on Hotels.com) so we had to pay an addition £50 per night to upgrade the room plus £70 per night for the two dogs. It was a lot extra onto the booking, an extra £240 on top of the £560 for 2 nights B&B. I only mention costs as it’s relevant to the quality of stay. The room was very comfortable and had doors opening to a garden area which was convenient with the dogs. I have mixed feelings about the room however. Whilst I’d paid a premium for a nicer room, because it’s used for pets the carpet is fairly old. The beautiful velvet cushion on the bed also had questionable stains. So whilst it made me more relaxed about the dogs being in the room I did feel I’d spent a lot for a room that was definitely of a poorer standard than when I’ve stayed previously. A dog bed and one toy as well as dog treats were a nice touch - it’s a shame there was just one toy between the two dogs. As ever we were made to feel comfortable and welcome by staff. The breakfasts were lovely too. I would not recommend Jigger Inn however. The starters were all lovely but the main meals were not great. The sticky toffee pudding was wonderful and made up for the mains. Overall I think there are much better places to eat close by. So overall it was a very nice stay but the cost did not match up to the experience.
