Check in was very efficient and the food menu was sensibly priced, offering nice variety. It made life a lot easier for us to have our evening meal there rather than head out on a winter evening with young children. Our boys really liked the table football in reception and the rooms were no frills but well presented and cleaned. Parking at the adjacent Q-Park was very straightforward and safe, and you receive a half price code for an advance booking with your room confirmation email. The blocks immediately alongside the hotel are a little run down, but in barely 1-2 minutes you're past them and have various shops and takeaway options at your disposal. The city centre's main shops begin around 5 mins walk away and it's perfectly placed for Ponds Forge.

We needed last minute emergency accomodation for Tramlines festival and The Ibis were superb. All amenities were fab, breakfast was good value ( especially if you booked the day before - £9 instead of £11) There was a lovely lounge area and even though most guests were there for the festival, it was quiet and they kept the bar available for a little night cap. The staff were helpful and the parking with discount was so convenient. Would definitely recommend and book again for next year!

Very good for price. Staff friendly and good breakfast. Only issue is that I received an e-mail from hotel saying that I could have a good discount at park near by using a code. I could not use it and contacted the car park companheiro. Was them told that the only entitula that can issue discount codes is the car park it self???

On booking I received an email advising me that if we booked the Q park in Castle street quoting our booking number, we woukd get half price parking. We did this and it saved us a lot of money. Nice friendly receptionist Clean comfortable room Good service Convenient location

The hotel was fine the parking arrangements were terrible, having to book online and in advance in order to get a bogus discount is really poor. 24 hour parking in Sheffield is from £5 to £8.50 not £10.50 / £21. Once arrived at the hotel you then need to drive around a one way system to access a parking entrance that is just a few metres away. Really poor

The room was decently sized. It had all the amities such as tea, coffee and high dryer. The actual room was in good condition and was bright. However, the shower had a large amount of short curly hairs in it and didn’t look like it had been particularly well. Also though teas and coffees were replaced over our stay the cups were not and this meant we had to use dirty cups over multiple days. Overall good for the price.

Great location for train and bus station, and within close proximity to the city centre. Very clean and comfortable room, but there is no air con available in the rooms which wasn’t ideal during a rather hot weekend. I did appreciate the fan supplied which helped overnight. Overall very happy with the stay and would recommend for the price.

Room was basic but ok. Unfortunately it smelled of drains! Room was very hot and no air conditioning the window only opened a tiny bit. Parking was a pain, q-park a stones throw away, but discount code would not work and hotel unable to help in any way. Booking mix up on check in- but easily resolved.

Nice Hotel. It is a little hard to find. Near the bridge that the tram goes over.. Or cut through one of the side streets near where Savers is. easy check in. Room alright. But on checking the bed Mattress was quite a lot of bits and looked a bit flea ridden. So found a shops that had some Bed Bug spray and used one and Half cans on it. I know it would be hard for large Hotel to add an extra 20 to 30 mins to vacuum each bed. But no reason for small Hotels. Breakfast was All right. Bacon, Sausage, Fresh Tomotoes, Beans Scam Egg. Only one Coffee Tea Macine. two toasters. And Brown white bread Pancakes which did in the toaster was good. Jam Marlalade Cerals, crossiants ect.

Cleanliness was good and ten minute walk from the train station. Extra cushion available in the room.House keeping came for their checks and the people at the receptionist greeted kindly and helped out to replace the card keys when was not working. Trams to Meadowhall, pubs and shops nearby.

You cannot have the window open during the night, due to the sound of traffic and the trams. Given it was a very warm night when I was there this made things very very uncomfortable. Air conditioning Would’ve helped a lot

Great value for money. Friendly and efficient service: Bedroom was clean, shower was good, bed was comfortable. Lack of A/C in room was the only major issue. Room was unpleasantly hot, even using fan and having window open. I can can imagine it is unbearable at the height of summer.

Very basic hotel. Room was smallish. Itchy sheets and uncomfortable pillows. Noise can be heard from other rooms and corridor easily. Room overlooked a car park- noisy Biffa truck could be heard very early. En-suite was like a plastic pod similar to what you’d get on a ship but worse quality and toilet flush was hit and miss. Room TV the size of a postage stamp.

Pleasant experience - relatively good value, and staff were friendly upon arrival. The is no air con in the rooms (only a unit that mainly heats but does not cool the room) which is the reason for the lower score - desk fans are available on a first come first served basis (didn't take advantage of this, as only read the notice in the lift on my final nights stay).

This was a great stop over, I can’t thank the staff enough, they were so lovely and helpful. The twin room was clean and adequately furnished with tea/coffee facilities. They kindly stored our bags for free before we were able to check in and again all day after we checked out. The breakfast was fabulous, cooked and continental, lots to choose from and the cooked food was nice and hot. Definitely recommend

Welcome from the guy on the desk wasn’t very friendly. We were a little early arriving and before we tried to explain we wanted to leave our luggage and return, he just said “three o’clock”. Eventually he heard what we wanted to say but he really wasn’t friendly at all. After check in which was fine, the stay was very nice with a good breakfast, albeit the dining area was a bit a small. Nice and clean and in a good area for the city centre.

No air conditioning, it's not suitable for habitation because it's too hot even with fan/air conditioning. But I would never return again because of the ", security guard", an entirely unidentified guy (mo lanyard, wearing a coat inside?!) who aggressively asked me, a solo disabled woman and my teen daughter, what room we were in. We had key cards to get in, no one told us a seemingly random man would rudely accost us -pushing the door onto me when we entered using our key card - to demand our room.number?! Presumably because it was around midnight. We were sober and quiet people entering a hotel, the man needs a lot of training in customer service and perhaps some visible sign that he is a legit employee. The area is a bit rough but this guy was so aggressive and weird when we were hesitant to tell what appeared to be a random man our room number. Made us feel unsafe, train the staff I beg you. We will never use ibis again. Twin beds are narrow and uncomfortable, no soundproofing, totally awful overheated room.

The hotel is good but the location is terrible. It’s near to a public bridge where a lot of homeless reunites to smoke. It was a moment were one of them try to come inside the hotel and other homeless were arguing with her. It doesn’t feel safe to go out for dinner so I ate at the hotel

Its very convenient for the bus and train station but in a very poor part of the city with lots of homeless sleeping rough outside which makes it a bit scary walking too and from the hotel. The hotel inside is lovely and has all mod cons.

The hotel as a whole is nice and clean. Beds are comfortable bathrooms are adequate. Decor throughout is really nice. Location of the hotel although food for walking into the main town area is a little sketchy and everywhere outside smells so bad. Downfall for the hotel is there was no air con. UK usually doesn’t need it but we stayed on one of the hottest weekends and the fan in the room only moved the hot air around. Good wee hotel though and staff were so lovely.

The room was fine, but I definitely wouldn't stay here again, the area is rough with crackheads lingering around outside... Didn't make me feel comfortable especially at night! Was told could book parking with a discount by the hotel but this was fully booked despite booking the hotel months in advance, resulting in us having to book parking 20 mins walk away.

Generally very good, but decor is depressing. Far too much grey, particularly in rooms. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and efficient stff. Very convenient for parking in Q Parks, where the automatic system for prebooked works perfectly. Only a few yards from the hotel and a 50% discount if prebooked. Also convenient for the tram system.

Floor of my room hadn’t been cleaned. Breakfast was grim. No mushrooms. Overcooked hash browns. Cold sloppy scrambled egg. Iron was filthy and there was only one available. Won’t come back.
