Parking charge advertised as £8 per day at “nearby car park” price was actually £11 per day and car park was a 15min trek through the city centre. Much closer car parks available with cheaper rates if booked online. Breakfast was additional £11.50 and hot items were of low quality (beans, sausages) and there was NO BACON! Just beans, sausage and scrambled eggs. Go to local cafe at Waitrose for cheaper better quality. Room was basic as expected and clean, bathroom had limited toiletries- bring your own the bottle of hand, hair, body wash all in one similar to a cheap washing up liquid. Location on busy road and very difficult to navigate after dark.

Cute reception area with pool table (5 pounds/30 mins). No parking/car stopping at front of hotel. So, need stop at the back, unload and walk 100m to front door. No issue with hotel. Very basic but it’s fine.

Excellent low budget hotel, with comfy beds and pillows, bathroom is nice, and a lovely bar-coffee lounge area in reception. And only a short walk to the centre of town

Good basic hotel with friendly staff, close to gig location and near main shopping area. If you're driving, remember to get your token validated, didn't realise this was an option until I arrived, that was a nice surprise.

Hotel was clean throughout and had a very pleasant open-plan reception area with lounge, pool table, bar and snacks. Access to the rooms is quick and easy via the lifts. Our room would be great for a single traveller or younger couple, but not so much for older couples like us - the double bed next to the wall meant clambering in from the end for one of us, and the lack of table or chairs was understandable considering the small room but inconvenient nonetheless. Lack of waste bin or even teaspoons seemed a bit too budget. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was easy to access and use. Staff members were very pleasant and helpful. There is no on--site parking and street parking nearby is horrendously expensive (for us!). NB: for disabled travellers there are three bays on Milton Street car park, a couple of hundred yards from the hotel, with free unlimited parking for blue badge holders.

Room was small with the double bed against the wall so both of us had to get out of the same side ! Room was not serviced despite leaving the "please come in" notice on the door. When reported to reception we were told "I can give you the stuff to clean it yourself" !

The room was spotless very comfortable bed. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was well presented, and sufficient for our needs.

The hotel is pleasant enough and near to city centre. Room was basic, no hairdryer though or chair to sit on. The other issue was a blood stained pillow which I didn’t see until the next morning!, Not very pleasant really, I did report it on checkout (room 503).

Clean room, comfortable bed and pillow, nice modern bathroom. We had a good sleep and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the morning. Great, modern cafe downstairs. Hotel is 17min walk from the railway station and 15min walk from University and city centre. Perfect location. Highly recommended.

Check-in process did not go off to a good start as I walked into my room and it hadn't been cleaned from the previous person staying (bed was unmade, used towels on the floor, coffee equipment looked used). However, the staff on reception sorted me out with a different room rapidly. Room is basic but was in good condition and worth the price paid. Bathroom was overall clean but there were a few old water marks up one of the walls that looked like it hadn't been given much attention during the clean. Overall a decent place to stay for the night in the city centre on a budget, and the staff were nice.

Fair choice food options. Bed dipped in middle so rolling into it not comfortable for back. Room dropped dark t shirt off of corner stool covered in dust,batteries not in remote i expect previous guests stole but should be on check list. The hotel is just outside the city centre. The hotel although does not seem old, it’s not cleaned very well at all. My room still had rubbish from the previous person staying there. The breakfast options are also very limited. I will not stay there again.

It’s just grubby and the breakfast is not even close to worth what you pay. I’m glad you can takes dogs, however it makes no excuses for mold in the shower or sticky coke sprayed all up the walls and curtain just looked dirty. But cheap enough to not kick up a fuss and we had the dog so tried to be accommodating

Easy check in/out, triple glazed windows so no noise, windows are sealed, so no fresh air (only issue) also no air con. But hey, for the cost, excellent value.

Stayed in Room 307 which was a decent size. Room layout is a bit bizarre as there is no space against the wall for the sleeper to get in and out without climbing over the one who is nearest the telly! Parked at Moor Market Eyre street car park to get special £9 day parking deal. Stayed 2 nights and often stay here

Room was tiny. Bed was pushed up against a wall so couldn't get in/out. Only 2 coat hangers, no hooks so nowhere to put clothes. Mattress needed replacing as was dipped in the middle. Probably a bit too basic for us, will pay a little more and stay elsewhere next time. Bedding was clean as was bathroom. Shower ok. Soap dispenser was incorrectly fitted which I corrected.

The room was clean but sparse. The side of the bed was pushed up to the wall so we had to pull it out further in to the room. The walls need painting.

Very clean room basic as it is a budget hotel modern facilities. I was in room 507 very odd positioning of the bed it was facing the window rammed against the wall odd okay but the TV is a vocal point in all room it was directly on the opposite side on the right as you walked in , so you would be laying there side on surly getting neck ache and bad back. So what we did turned the bed facing the TV and both of us had access to both sides of and myself could reach the side lighting. So hopefully someone that reads this from the hotel will take it on board.

The hote was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. It is a budget hotel and the rooms are very small. They are well-insulated and so there was no noise from outside. The heating/air con is a bit fiddly, it takes a while to get your room to the desired temperature. Otherwise great. I didn't try the food.

Paid £200 for a night in a room that felt like student accommodation. Entrance not clearly marked with lots of guests walking past. Check in was non verbal, uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Gave our reservation details and keys were handed over without telling me my room number or how to get there or any breakfast information. Completely silent. Reception was nice as was bathroom if a little small Room felt like student accommodation. Wouldn’t have minded if this was reflected in the price.

Good budget hotel with excellent staff and service

First Room we had was clean and tidy, but the aircon was not working. Raised it with the staff and they gave us a fan straight away and arranged for us to change rooms for the rest of the stay. Second room was perfect, was clean and tidy as well and had everything you would expect, breakfast was good as well. Staff that really make it, aways friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome for the length of our stay.

It was okay. Nothing special at all. Arrived 14:20 and was told I needed to pay an extra £10 if i checked in before 15:00!!!! Room was available, staff were there milling about and chatting but I was expected to pay for being 40 minutes early.

My first visit to this hotel so didn't know the layout or how & where to check in. Very unhelpful staff when asked about checking in etc. was like they couldn't be bothered. The room was very basic, The tv was awkwardly positioned to be able to view. Bed was very uncomfortable felt soft to first sit on but was like sleeping on a board. My first & last visit

It was very good value for money and convenient for me. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

During my stay my rest was disturbed by: - a family with young children allowing the children to run around shouting in the corridor. This was late evening and early morning. - you club goers were slamming doors at 05:30 which woke me up. Can door soft close mechanisms be checked? During my stay I used the bar and dining services. I was shocked to find bar drinks being served in plastic disposable cups. If there is security risks at the hotel then security staff should be employed at key hours to manage the risk, not just remove potential weapons. The staff at the hotel were amazing.

The staff were really quite nice but the we arrived about 1 hr early for our check in and despite rooms being ready they insisted on a £10 supplement. Pretty poor show and not something I’ve experienced at any other hotel chain..

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, the room was clean and bed was comfy. We had breakfast on the first day but didn’t bother going back the 2nd day. The only thing that let this hotel down was the staff. There was no one to check us in when we arrived and was told to wait. We waited for around 20 minutes (along with another couple that had been there longer) before the person that could check us in arrived. And on the first day when having breakfast a young girl asked my husband a serious question and then laughed at the answer with another colleague. I understand this is a “budget hotel” but there is no need for rude staff.

My partner and I had a really disappointing overnight stay at this hotel. He was playing a gig that evening and we needed somewhere to store his music gear before check-in. We tried calling the hotel several times days in advance to arrange storage for his musical gear and our bags, but couldn't get through because the phone kept ringing and the voicemail was full. Finally, after many tries, someone confirmed that storing our stuff before checking in wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived early at around 1pm, we were abruptly told there was no space in the luggage store and had to pay £10 for early check-in. We didn't want to make a scene, so I paid, but my partner asked to see the storage space just to check. Turns out, the luggage area had more than enough room, which left us feeling ripped off about the unnecessary early check-in fee. Later, after the gig, we came back with a takeaway pizza, thinking we'd sit in the lobby where there were tables and chairs. But then, a night staff member aggressively told us we couldn't eat there because it was a supposedly a "restaurant area" (even though it had gone midnight) and for paying customers only, of which there were none. To add insult to injury, he nastily remarked that our food "stinks." The room itself was fine—small but clean. However, the shockingly rude and unhelpful behavior from the staff completely ruined our experience. We definitely won’t be coming back.

I stayed for a weekend and the place was fine for my needs - the cafe was good and staff friendly. The room was basic but clean and had everything I needed and wasn't noisy. The area outside is a bit rough but the hotel was fine and felt secure.

For a last minute hotel booking, slept decent for a last minute booking of a hotel. Affordable for a budget. Recommend if you are looking for budget hotel near Sheffield train station. 15 minute walk

Great value for money, rooms are small but nice and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is a bit small so we ordered off the menu instead. Very helpful staff!

Welcoming and helpful staff at check-in, breakfast and in the evening (bar). Breakfast had several self service hot and cold options and seemed fresh (pastries and meats were very nice). Room was sufficient for need, smaller than other hotel chains (but room cost was comparably smaller too). The bed was comfy, shower was hot and overall sufficient space for a couple of nights away from home with work. The room itself did get very hot overnight and the cooling system helped the temperature come down a bit but not enough for my comfort. I stayed with colleagues and they had similar hot rooms. I would look to stay again, but perhaps not in the hotter summer time.

Room was cramped for a family of 3 room but you get what you pay for , but did what we needed it to do , it was very clean , had tv and nice size shower. Went for food down stairs and the pizza was amazing the satff were polite , helpful and friendly . Down side is the parking is quite a bit away if youve got alot of luggage and maybe disabled. However you do get discount on the parking for 24 hours we paid £10 for the parking .

Main issues with the room was no hairdryer ,and double bed was against a wall so the person on the inside had to climb over or shuffle to the end of bed in middle of night to go to the loo disturbing their partner,and green light on the ceiling lit up the room.we also had some trouble with noisy guests arguing in the corridor outside the room in the early hours of the morning.Bathroom was spotless and shower was great.tea/coffee in the room was basic but fine ,breakfast was chaotic ,we had to keep asking for basics as they kept running out of everything ,not keeping on top of restocking , no plates ,then no forks ,no butter for the toast ,the food choices were good though and when it arrived it was decent for the price paid.
