Maldron Hotel Belfast City

Great hotel in the heart of downtown with a reasonable walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The car park is a little walk away but has a great discount through the hotel so worth it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Good location and parking location is near the hotel.

Great hotel. Loved the drinks in the lobby. So close to everything including the bus station. Rooms were wonderful but we had spacious corner rooms. It was worth it just for the free unlimited water they give out, that’s a nice touch:)

Great check in staff and the bar staff were very helpful . Wi-Fi was excellent and bed very comfortable . Centrally located hotel with the Saloon Bar 1min away and Central Station within 10 mins . Many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance . Recommended hotel .

All was good apart from the lifts. Only 2 out of 3 were working during our stay and at some point all 4 of our room cards failed to work and had to be reset.

Nice comfortable hotel. Great bar and restaurant area with great service. Makes you feel comfortable even when travelling alone. Small gym could have a bit more equipment, adding a bike and some floor mats would be great.

Great location and wonderful staff. Only fault was a mouldy shower head thats been over looked by housekeeping twice.

Cleaning wasn’t the best , beds hadn’t been made just quilts throne over , shower wasn’t cleaned daily and moved the best as I dropped an earring , don’t think they have been moved ever to clean under

Conveniently located. Bathroom was dirty, hair in shower, urine all around toilet, bed sheets don’t get changed after each guest as we were able to tell by how untidy the bed was made and the sheets were dirty.

Room walls were very dirty. Beds were comfortable. Expected more from the property.

Both rooms not cleaned, dirty cups. Previous guests dirty socks on the floor. Two pairs……. Asked for a second cup at breakfast as I was having tea then wanted a coffee. Waiter turned and said you already have one on your table. Obviously too much to request more mugs. More milk was the next issue…. It’s over there. Very pleasant indeed two days before Christmas. I’m be positive was the young guy behind desk with glasses. Positive and tried to resolve things but already the damage was done. No upgrades added or food and drink discounts which come from the good member status of here.

Room was very clean, bed very comfortable, we appreciated having a kettle and coffee maker in the room. The ledge in the bathroom was helpful for additional space. We found it quiet and convenient and staff were very kind and helpful, especially Rachel who seemed to be everywhere all at once and was SO kind and efficient.

Great location and an easy walk to several locations like the central train station, City Hall, and numerous bus stops. Our only negatives is that the room was small and cramped for two twin beds. No luggage racks or places to set down your luggage are provided, but they were kind enough to bring luggage racks to our room upon request. Compared to other hotels that are less modern, we felt the rates were fair/reasonable.

The room wasn't big and there is not place for the laguage

Nice hotel, within easy walking distance of everything you need. My only grumble is that the air con cuts off after an hour (whether on continuous or auto setting), so if you are warm in the night you have to keep switching it on.

Very small room for 3 adults with luggage. Hotel was very convenient to tourist sites. Staff friendly and helpful.

Family room was, whilst nicely decorated, too small to be comfortable for a family of four. The website photos do a great job of hiding this fact. Wouldnt recommend the family rooms for a family tbh.

Nice hotel, good service, however the three person room is really only appropriate for 1 adult and 2 children given the very small rooms

The only downside to this stay was the noise from the nearby roof top bar. Hotel itself was central, clean and fantastic for al transport links

Great location. Easy access from airport bus. Sightseeing and Grand Opera House within walking distance. Good breakfast. I asked for a quiet room and got a top-floor end of the hallway room, no noise.

Likes: Room (including bathroom), pleasant and spacious. Hotel within easy walking distance of central train and bus station. Hotel is fairly central and within reasonable walking distance of many of the tourist attractions. Buffet breakfast was very nice and a good variety of foods. The cooked breakfast was regularly topped up so that it was hot and fresh. Most of the staff were helpful and very nice - I would especially pick out Rachel who I think is the assistant food and beverages manager. Dislikes Evening meal in the restaurant was totally ruined by the bar manager (who was waiting on - perhaps this should not be his job?). Firstly we made an error. My 80 year old friend had a slight memory lapse but this individual upset her to such an extent that she was going to leave the hotel and go home - luckily we persuaded her otherwise, but .... Generally the restaurant was empty - being only one other table beside ourselves on both nights we dined in - which was a pity as, actually, the food we were given was generally good and the pizzas excellent but there was no atmosphere. One of our group was in a disabled access room on the 12th floor. We did wonder how the hotel would get someone struggling with mobility down 12 flights of stairs in the event of a fire. Lastly, basically a lack of response to emails plus receiving inappropriate emails asking us to complete tasks that we had already completed. General Belfast was wonderful. Everyone unbelievably helpful.

Keycard was deactivated 1 hour before checkout. Had to borrow card from other resident for lift. Then had to go down to reception to get card reactivated. Staff not very apologetic

Staff were very friendly and chatty. Room was very clean and cosy. Location excellent. W have stayed in a few hotels in Belfast and this one really stood out so will be going back again.

Jamie at reception was very helpful in getting a tour booked for us.

I did not appreciate being asked to pay 1£ per bag for charity to have my bags checked while we spent 2 extra hours after checkout — I am generous charity donor but I found this to be very petty as you are a professional hotel with expensive enough rates. Do you need an extra pound to check my bag for 2 hours? A bit of a money grab which I’m sorry I did not appreciate and left a sour taste to the overall nice experience of your hotel. I wouldn’t recommend now. Just left a bad taste.

Great central location for seeing the city. The staff are a credit to this hotel. The reception staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area restaurants etc. The bar and waiting staff are superb and extremely friendly. Fíona, Hami, Jon and the top Cocktail mixer PI are all doing an incredible job and will be sure to make you stay more comfortable.

Travelled for a concert and then stayed a few days. Staff were AMAZING! Every single one of them. Highly recommend, great location as a base and will 100% be back.

The hotel is well-located as a base to explore the city, but it’s not ideal if you plan to spend much time there. The rooms have a slight musty smell, and the bathrooms could use some maintenance. When you turn on the bathroom faucet, there’s a noticeable noise from the pipes, which can be bothersome. The restaurant experience wasn’t the best; it took almost 45 minutes to get a burger and fish and chips. Another point to note is the parking: although the hotel appears in search filters as having parking, it’s actually located at a convent about a five-minute walk away. Not a major inconvenience, but good to know in advance. Overall, it’s a good place to use as a base to explore the city, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a comfortable or relaxing stay in the hotel itself.

Good location in Belfast centre. The new Grand Central station is a 5 minute walk and the 600 bus to the airport stops there. Many dining options nearby, the famous Crown pub is less than 50 metres away. Plenty of buses can be picked up at the nearby City hall. Hotel was welcoming and well maintained. Room was comfortable and clean. Plenty of breakfast offerings both hot and cold.

Great location, 5 minutes walk from city hall, 20 minutes from the waterfront. Right close to the train station as well. The room was great. We had a fun stay, really.

Easy to get to and central for the City

Breakfast was the best ever. Why? Just a simple thing I was able to fill my own large teapot rather than fiddling with a bag on a string in my cup - bliss.

I recently stayed at the Maldron Hotel Belfast and wanted to share my positive experience. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel relaxed and enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and good quality. The location was ideal—central, with lots of nearby places to eat and shop. Despite being so central, my room was quiet and peaceful. The room itself was well equipped with everything I needed, making it very comfortable. Overall, I had a great stay and would happily recommend the hotel to others.

Room was a good price for a late deal & happy with it.paid for breakfast & thought breakfast was poor considering a 4* hotel. Only eggs available were scrambled & they were like rubber. No boiled or fried never mind poached. Poor selection of fresh fruit - only water melon displayed. I could go on but it all conveys disappointment.

Bad: No bathroom fan. No anti-slip mat in bath. Kettle unclean. No room fridge. No TV instructions. They sent up staff to help who knew less than us, so we had to figure it out ourselves. Had to request veggie breakfast option + wait for ages. Communal areas overheated. Good: Price. Location. Luggage storage option. Plentiful breakfast. Cleanliness. Room view. Tea/coffee in room. Superfast lift. WiFi.

Great location with modern amenities, comfortable beds and friendly staff. Cold 'hot' buffet breakfast and a heating system that only stays on for a set period before having to be manually put back on resulting in a cold room in the evening whilst sleeping.

We had a lovely stay in Belfast. The Maldron was clean, family friendly, and lovely staff. The hotel is centrally located. The breakfast bar had options for everyone.

Class hotel Super breakfast

This was a nice hotel on an excellent location. The room was newly renovated. I would have given 5 stars but the breakfast let it down. Most of it was over done. Iv had buffet style breakfast at a lot of hotels. But bacon was solid as was black pudding and haggis. There was however a decent choice of other things.

Very comfortable stay, easy check in via website and collect key cards at the booth at reception. Clean room, good size, comfy beds yet a little high off the ground, bathroom good size. Breakfast very tasty and lots of options. Staff friendly and welcoming. Great location for belfast city break, close to city hall and grand central station.
