Ligger meget sentralt i utkanten av gamlebyen. Stort shoppingsenter og buss til/fra flyplassen i kort avstand. Gangsvstand til det meste av severdigheter. Rommet var av grei størrelse og rent og fint. Hyggelig betjening. God frokost. Eneste minus er at det er noen få trappetrinn til heisen. Vi måtte også gå noen trinn for å komme til rommet i etasjen. Ellers helt topp. Har nok funnet min nye favoritt i Riga

Hotel is very conveniently located on the edge of the old town and near the bus and train stations One minor disappointment was that the website list laundry facilities and laundry service. There are no laundry facilities at the hotel. However we were referred to a great laundromat

Easily accessible by public transportation, perfectly situated between the Old City and the Art Nouveau district, the Metropole is one of Riga's best hotels. Yet it is surprisingly affordable. Rooms are small, but the hotel dates from a time when rooms were just for sleeping. Public spaces are attractive and clean. Staff is multilingual and attentive. The "Gastropub" De Commerce 1871 should receive better notice: it's a lovely space with first class continental dishes and an excellent bar.

The hotel has the best location, beside old town and Riga city. Walking distance to everything. The room was nice and the ac really good. The breakfast needs improvement. The croissant was not fresh the scrambled eggs not homemade. The oatmeal was like water. Otherwise a good choice of the hotel! And the bar was closed in sundays and during the day

Very good 4 star hotel in perfect place. Nice and stylish in historical building. Good breakfast, even with sparkling wine. Only challenge is parking, hotel has expensive (35 eur) parking lot for 1 car near hotel main entrance. And across the street you can have parking ticket. And 1 more thing, during morning rush there is need to wait longer for one and only elevator. But of course, you can use stairs as well ;-.)

Great property, excellent location and staff were very helpful. Breakfast really nice. Only thing that could be improved is to provide some complementary bottled water in the rooms - 5 euro for a bottle is pretty steep!

+ Trevlig personal, trevligt bemötande. Både i restaurangen och i receptionen. + Välstädat, fräscht och snyggt. + Om man är bekväm och vill se gamla stan samt centralmarknaden osv så låg hotellet väldigt bra till. Allt fanns runt husknuten. - Hårda sängar - Kallt på rummet, ingen värme på elementen. Frukosten var okej, fanns en del och välja på men inte superstort utbud. Man fick i sig lite ägg, bacon, frukt, pannkaka och nån smörgås.

ein schönes Hotel. Gute Anbindung an die Altstadt mit vielen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist wortkarg (fast unfreundlich) und die Reinigung der Zimmer ist nicht wirklich optimal. Am Anfang war das Zimmer sauber, wir haben am ersten Tag 5 Euro Trinkgeld hergegeben, ab da wurde dann nicht mehr richtig gereinigt. Die benutzen Kaffegläser wurden einfach stehen gelassen, ebenso die benutzen Weingläser. In der Dusche stand das Wasser (ekelig) weil der Abguss nicht geleert wurde. Der Service im Frühstücksbereich ist dagegen phantastisch - diese Herrschaften haben sogar ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, im Gegensatz zur Rezeption

The AC/Heather system needs a major overhaul it’s too noisy. The shower curtain is rooted in some parts, needs to be replaced. The TV is located at the left side of the bed and it’s very uncomfortable to watch TV.

Beautiful newly renovated hotel! Air conditioning, elevator, comfortable beds, best breakfast buffet I ever had. Room was a little small and tub was an awkward shape but those were minor issues. Convenience store on the corner and easy walk to all of the old town. On a main street so there is some traffic noise. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Riga!

Enjoyed a 3 night stay in Riga. Hotel in excellent location near all tourist attractions and bars/ restaurant. Staff very helpful. The beds were extremely firm/ hard and air con was quite noisy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

A charming hotel with a comfortable bed and modern interior. Breakfast was delicious. The only negative is noise from trams outside. The hotel does provide earplugs (which is a nice touch) but if you are a light sleeper, earplugs may not help.

Schönes altes Hotel, sehr köstliches Frühstück und nettes Personal. Ein Negativpunkt ist die laute Straße und die Straßenbahn die direkt vorm Hotel liegt. Fenster auf Krach, Fenster zu etwas leiserer Krach. In einem Zimmer zur Straße raus würde ich dort nicht noch einmal übernachten. Zeitweise ist die Rezeption mit immer nur einer Person total überlastet. Zum einchecken haben wir mehr als eine halbe Stunde angestanden. Die nahe Lage zur Altstadt, Oper sowie den Parkanlagen ist perfekt.

I emailed the hotel several times that I would like a quiet room away from the elevator and one that is not facing a busy street. At check in I received a room facing the very busy street. I asked to have my room changed and the guy in charge acknowledged that they received my email requests but said in Russian to the trainee at the reception “give her the small room” not realizing that I understand Russian. It was the smallest room on the floor. When I opened my not so big suitcase (26”) it filled the space between the window and the bed leaving me a small passage to the bathroom and door on the other side of the bed. I believe I was downgraded based on the description of the room I prepaid for. When I mentioned to the guy in charge that the room was very small, he shamelessly offered me an upgrade for €40 a night. Hence the 2 stars. The location was great within walking distance to all the major tourist attractions in old town Riga.

Very easy and pleasant check in, the newer rooms are much nicer than the old ones. Breakfast Buffett is pretty descent . Location is very good and walkable to everywhere. A beautiful park and the opera house cross from the hotel. Very nice staff all around , front Desk, house keeping and at breakfast .

Lovely hotel on the edge of the old town across the road (or through the underpass) from where the 22 airport bus stops. Staff are lovely and the reception, bar and breakfast areas are beautiful. The room is quiet, tastefully decorated and comfortable and the bathroom is modern with a great shower. Breakfast was nice and set us up for the day. We made a good choice booking this hotel, would absolutely recommend and will definitely return when returning to the amazing city of Riga

Hotel was easy to find if you're arriving with bus 22 from Riga international airport as bus stop really is located almost next to it. Beautiful, elegant hotel with some character and interesting history and staff were very welcoming. Check in was easy and check out as well. Good location if you want to wander around the city by walking. I do recommend.

Really nice cosy hotel, my room was ideal as was a solo traveller..Staff really friendly, shoutoit to Igor as super helpful.. Mini bar wasnt cold and hester was not hot, housekeeping checked but did not make any difference. Would have been good to have more vegetarian hot food choices at breakfast. Would recommend the hotel though.
