Great location. Only issue is if you are a senior or have issue with stairs request a room on lowest level. To get to the room there were 4 sets of stairs to navigate with big bags. If you are on top floors request balcony overlooking street not back side of building.

Lovely property very well located. Heaps of shops, restaurants and cafes in walking distance, as well as Coles supermarket. Also walking distance to the marina if you book any reef excursions. Limited parking under the building, but we were always able to get one on the street if it was full. Great friendly staff who communicated very promptly whenever I had queries.

The property has had a makeover with a beautiful paint exterior and internal. There is a lovely little coffee shop at the entrance which was very convenient for coffee and breakfast. The pool was small but very nice with a little waterfall and sloping entry which was nice to lay on. The hosts Robert and Lyn were super friendly and very organised.

Great place to stay in Port Douglas. Very conveniently, located, spacious, well-equipped apartment, very helpful hosts. The pool is a little small but a nice area for sunbathing.

The room was great, staff were great. Within easy walking distances to shops, beach, port area and all types of eating places. While the internet was free it kept cutting out. The pool is not heated and is quite small. The photos on the site make the pool seem larger than what it is.

Perfect location in the heart of PD, parked the car in their off-street parking and didn'tneed it again until we left. Self contained apartment gave us the ability to self cater. Balcony looking over Macrossen Street gave us plenty of entertainment people-watching when we weren't out and about ourselves.

We were emailed about access to our room keys as staff was not available when we arrived. Room was spacious and conveniently located. Only issue is there is no lift and with 2 or 3 flights is a pain dragging luggage up the stairs

This hotel is the pefect location to access all the local amenities in and around Port Douglas. The Le Cher Du Monde was clean, comfortable with a dining/lounge area to relax with a balcony to watch the world go by.

The property is in a fabulous location on Macrossan Street with easy walking distance to Four Mile Beach, shops, restaurants and the River area but the property is looking very tired and in need of a deep clean and painting if it is to keep its 4 star rating and be worth the amount per night

Our first trip to Port Douglas. It was a perfect location for us i.e. access to shops and dining. Great use of the pool. I was impressed by the owners. Our room had both fans and air con (which was essential to us from Melbourne). The kitchen amenities were sufficient, the bathroom was clean. I felt comfortable and right at home. Above all I didn't feel that I had was being watched and had to be on my best behaviour. 😉 Lyn and Ron who were very hospitable and very passionate about the place. They took pride in the appearance both with the rooms and the exterior. Kudos to their dedication and hard work. 👍

We were put in a small 1 br room that is above an open area cafe which opens for both breakfast and lunch. It was almost impossible to sleep beyond 5.45am with all the noise from the cafe staff settling up tables, noise from diners, the rumble and clatter from the frequent garbage collections both private contractors and council. The pool provided is simply a splash pool with a large children wading area and a small plunge area, so being an adults only hotel, I’m not sure why such a small pool is provided at a holiday resort for adults. All in all we were very disappointed with the accommodation and facilities provided

Had a lovely 2 nights, wished it was longer. Located perfectly in town. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants, stores, 4 Mile beach etc. Our stay was quiet, room was spacious overlooking the pool. Be mindful that there is no lift only stairs, can be challenging. We didn't get the chance to use the pool but it's great there is one.

Property is well.licated for the town centre and the attractions. A good underground car park formcar parking. Spacious room allocated but it was above the cafe and a little noisy. Also for us, to many regulations, don't use the spa after 9.30pm, make sure you empty all the bins, air conditioning nite saying set at 23 for comfort. Well your 23 maybe formyiu but for others. Felt like you were in a school classroom sometimes. As well world wide travellers we found all of this a shame and not necessary. The swimming pool.was.refreshing but the picture shown on hotels com make it look far.bigher than it is. Bewareut is really small. Nice area to sit around and if fortunate enough to have in if the pool facing rooms I'm sure that could be nice. It's ok, but certainly plenty of other places to consider around the same.price.

Robert and Lyn were very friendly and helpful. The ease of being able walk everywhere was the reason we booked here. The room was spacious, clean and lovely. This property on a whole was excellent. We will be back.

Le Cher Du Monde was a fantastic place to stay right in the heart of Port Douglas, the hosts Robert , Lyn and can’t forget their dog Ellie were great , nothing was any trouble and they also booked us a couple of tours.. would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Port Douglas
